Everton held by Sunderland at Goodison
Everton will have to go to Sunderland for a replay after the two sides played out an entertaining 1-1 draw in their FA Cup sixth-round tie. More

87' Baines's corner is cleared. the second ball comes in and Mignolet gets a hand to Heitinga's header before blocking Jelavic's follow-up at the near post! Great goalkeepeing! Heitinga beats the ground in frustration!- 86' Clever flick by Baines over himself and Bardsley, and Everton have a corner.

- 7' The corner is eventually headed clear and Royston Drenthe surges forward on the counter, but Phil Bardsley is one player to beat too many for the Dutchman.
- 6' The referee has words with Johnny Heitinga and John O'Shea for a bit of handbags as they awaited the corner.

- 4' McClean drives towards the byline, taking two Everton players with him and wins the corner. The Irish winger is fearfully strong as well as quick.
- 3' Wayne Bridge slips and Seamus Coleman gets down the right flank. He puts in a good cross that Leon Osman meets with a header, but the 5'8" midfielder can't get fully on top of the ball and it's over the bar.
- 2' Early nibble on Fraizer Campbell from Sylvain Distin. Sunderland send plenty forward for the free-kick. Seb Larsson whips in a typically dangerous delivery that's glanced wide by James McClean.

- 12:35 Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill likes to think that the supposedly diminishing 'Magic of the Cup' will get a revival in the future: "The FA Cup itself has perhaps over the last 10, 12, 14 years lost a little bit of its sheen, and I am hoping it will recover and eventually in another 60, 70 years' time, who knows, it might come back to being the most important cup competition? It has a fantastic history and it is one you would really want to be part of."
