    • 90+4' FULL TIME. Liverpool are through to face Stoke City in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup thanks to three own goals - a record in the long history of this competition. A fine performance from the Reds.
    • 90+3' Even Dalglish cracks a smile from the bench as Jamie Carragher gives the intruder a hug.
    • 90+2' STREAKER ON THE PITCH! STREAKER ON THE PITCH!
    • 90' We will have two minutes of added time at Anfield.
    • 89' Bridcutt is injured, which just about caps his day off.
    • 87' Vicente smacks a shot wide for Brighton, who have been completely torn apart in this second half.
    • 85' GOAL! Liverpool 6-1 Brighton! Suarez gets his goal after missing that penalty. Carroll heads back across goal from an Enrique ball and Suarez leaps to knock it over the line from close range.
    • 82' From the following corner, Kuyt gets his head to the ball and heads against the bar! He should really have scored.
    • 81' Suarez sees his penalty saved! And he fails to convert the follow up!
    • 80' Penalty to Liverpool! And Dalglish tells his side to give it to Suarez.
    • 79' Liverpool are pushing forward at every opportunity now.
    • 77' A triple change for Liverpool. Downing, Gerrard and Henderson are replaced by Dirk Kuyt, Jonjo Shelvey and Maxi Rodriguez.
    • 75' GOAL! Liverpool 5-1 Brighton! ANOTHER own goal! What on earth is Dunk doing? Brezovan misses a cross from Suarez and Dunk controls with his chest, before trying to juggle the ball up with his knee and accidentally knocking it over the line, before trying and failing to hook it out. Embarrassing, to be honest.
    • 73' Bridcutt looks to make amends but drags a shot well, well wide of the post.
    • 71' GOAL! Liverpool 4-1 Brighton! Bridcutt with another own goal, how unfortunate. Liverpool break from a Brighton corner and Navarro makes a horrible mess of a bouncing ball in the box as Gerrard sneaks in and sees his initial effort saved, before the follow up is turned in by the luckless Bridcutt.
    • 70' LuaLua drives in a strong cross from the left but Enrique does well to chest the ball into the arms of Reina.
    • 69' Vokes and El-Abd replaced by Vicente and Craig Mackail-Smith in a double change for Brighton.
    • 68' Noone cuts in from the right and finds a yard or two of space. He looks to catch Reina unawares but his curling effort soars wide of the post.
    • 66' Liverpool guilty of some sloppy play just 10 yards outside their own box but Brighton fail to capitalise.
    • 65' And here comes Downing, desperate to get on the scoresheet. However, the winger drives his effort a couple of metres wide of the upright.
    • 63' Liverpool are rampant now, confidence coursing through their veins. They could get a couple more if they want.
    • 61' Suarez checks inside before seeing a shot blocked by Dunk. He deserves a goal for his efforts so far.
    • 60' Gerrard steams forward through midfield but his pass for Downing is overhit and the winger can't get on the end of it in the box.
    • 58' That's Carroll's third goal in his past 20 games - not a great record but he will be pleased to have got one today after a bruising evening.
    • 57' GOAL! Liverpool 3-1 Brighton! Carroll's frustration dissipates as he coverts with a fine first-time finish. It was a nice move from Liverpool and Downing skipped away from Calderon as the Spaniard went to ground before finding Carroll with a cut-back.
    • 56' And now Henderson joins the party with a drive that Brezovan pulls into his chest. Liverpool firmly on top at present.
    • 55' Downing takes aim 25 yards from goal and sees his firm drive beaten away by Brezovan at his near post. That was a very decent hit by the winger.
    • 54' Brezovan charges of his line rather recklessly and Suarez nicks the ball away from him, only to be denied by a block from Greer.
    • 53' Confirmation that Alan Navarro was booked for a foul on Gerrard.
    • 52' Gerrard chests down a headed clearance and fires in a shot that Henderson tries to flick in cleverly. However, his attempt sneaks just wide.
    • 51' Suarez misplaces a pass and, looking for someone to blame, howls at the ref when trying to claim a foul on a team-mate.
    • 49' Suarez pops a pass wide to Henderson before receiving it back from the midfielder. He spots Brezovan about a metre or two off his line but the attempted chip is poor.
    • 48' Suarez wins a corner off El-Abd as Liverpool go in search of a quick goal. The corner goes short to Suarez and he plays in Johnson, who curls an effort high and wide.
    • 46' KICK OFF!
    • - Brighton bring on Craig Noone for Buckley. Noone famously roofed Gerrard's house.
    • - Do Liverpool deserve to be in front? Let me know on Twitter now. Follow @tomEurosport on Twitter
    • 45+2' HALF TIME. Liverpool go in in front thanks to an own goal from Bridcutt. LuaLua had equalised following Skrtel's opener.
    • 45' GOAL! Liverpool 2-1 Brighton! An own goal puts Liverpool back in front. Brezovan punched the corner up into the air and Suarez then saw his shot saved by the keeper. Johnson followed up with a header and Vokes headed off the line and against his own man, Liam Bridcutt, as the ball crossed the line.
    • 44' Gerrard takes the set piece and his deep delivery to the back post forces Brezovan to tip over the bar for a corner.
    • 43' Calderon brings Downing to ground on the edge of the box with a rather unsubtle challenge...
    • 42' LuaLua surges into the box and pulls out a stepover before thumping a low effort into the side netting. A cross would have been a better option.
    • 42' Carroll, yet again, is sent sprawling in the box. His ongoing battle with the Brighton defence has been a real feature of this game, and he is losing it fairly comprehensively at present.
    • 41' El-Abd gets a sniff of a chance when the ball bounces square to him 20 yards from goal but his snatched effort is rather poor and bobbles meekly off target.
    • 40' Brighton's fans are in fine voice as half time approaches. They will be very happy if they can go in level.
    • 38' Adam spreads the ball out to Downing on the left but his cross is headed clear as Brighton stand firm again.
    • 36' Stat from Opta: Having failed to score in 25 games, LuaLua now has back-to-back strikes.
    • 35' Liverpool's £35m striker has certainly been in the thick of things of late but ultimately has had little impact on the match. He should have scored that headed chance.
    • 34' Carroll takes a touch in the box before falling to ground and demanding a penalty. It never was.
    • 32' Carroll gets free for once and meets a fantastic cross from Gerrard, but heads over the bar when he should have at least hit the target. Disappointing.
    • 31' Now Carroll is penalised for a slight push on his marker and both the player and his manager, Dalglish, look furious.
    • 30' Carroll has a word with the match officials after being blocked off by Gordon Greer. The striker has come in for some close treatment so far this afternoon.
    • 29' Now Suarez turns provider as he plays a pass into Adam, who thunders a shot just over the bar.
    • 28' So unlucky for Suarez! Glen Johnson plays the ball square to him and he drifts menacingly in before making space and firing at goal using the outside of his boot. Brezovan is beaten but Lewis Dunk is on hand to clear off the line. Excellent defending.
    • 27' LuaLua flings a cross in for Vokes and the striker sticks out a boot, only to turn the ball high into the air and over.
    • 26' Gerrard plays a return pass to Suarez 30 yards from goal but the forward gets under his shot as the ball flies high into the stands at Anfield.
    • 25' Jose Enrique cuts in from the left but gets his right-footed effort all wrong as he drags his shot wide of the near post.
    • 23' So unlucky for Suarez! The forward does excellently to jink past one man and then another before just failing to get a clean shot away when eight yards out. The ball bounces into the path of Carroll but he snatches at his shot.
    • 22' Gerrard collects a quick throw and sees his dangerous cross headed clear. Liverpool take possession again and when Downing volleys the ball back across goal the visiting side clear again.
    • 21' Downing swaps passes with Suarez before dinking the ball to the side of Brezovan from a tight angle but there is no Liverpool shirt in sight to convert.
    • 20' Suarez tries to skip inside Calderon but the Spaniard does just enough to prevent the striker from driving into the box.
    • 19' Well that was a quite stunning effort from the 21-year-old. He will remember that for a long time, particularly if Brighton can go on and get a result here.
    • 18' GOAL! Liverpool 1-1 Brighton! What a hit! LuaLua brings his side level with an absolute belter of a free kick. The ball was knocked to him and the midfielder produced a stunning low effort that snuck around the wall and beat Pepe Reina.
    • 17' Brighton win a free kick 30 yards from goal when LuaLua is fouled. He will take it by the looks of things.
    • 16' Liverpool take a quick free kick that is knocked square to Gerrard but the skipper doesn't get a clean connection to his shot and drags the ball wide of the post.
    • 14' It has all been a bit easy for Liverpool so far and they remain in control of the tie thanks to that early header from Skrtel.
    • 12' Adam El-Abd and Carroll are becoming involved in some lively tussles at every set piece. Say what you want about the Liverpool striker but he is a real problem in those situations.
    • 11' Gerrard delivers the ball from the left but Brezovan rushes off his line to punch clear for Brighton.
    • 10' Downing finds space again on the left and wins a corner when his cross is deflected behind. A repeat performance from Skrtel?
    • 9' Now Inigo Calderon delivers a teasing cross from the right but Skrtel produces a headed clearance.
    • 8' Brighton look to find a way through the Liverpool defence with Kazenga LuaLua but the winger is brought to a halt.
    • 6' Brighton look for a quick response and Sam Vokes pokes a rather weak shot at Pepe Reina.
    • 5' GOAL! Liverpool 1-0 Brighton! Martin Skrtel puts Liverpool in front at Anfield. The defender did superbly to get in front of his man and meet a corner from Gerrard at the near post before nodding the ball home.
    • 4' Stewart Downing spins quickly in the box and his cross takes a deflection before forcing Peter Brezovan to tip the ball over the bar for a corner.
    • 3' Liverpool have seen a lot of the ball in the opening stages here and when they do lose possession Gerrard puts in a fine challenge on Will Buckley on the Brighton left.
    • 2' It appears as though Steven Gerrard is sitting deep alongside Charlie Adam with Jordan Henderson pushing forward in support of Carroll.
    • 1' KICK OFF!
    • 16:30 Send me your thoughts about today's game on Twitter. If you keep it clean, and I get the chance, I will post some of them here. Follow Tom Adams on Twitter
    • 16:25 Liverpool are at something approaching full strength and Kenny Dalglish is clearly not inclined to take any risks against the Championship side, who are unbeaten in all competitions this season. Suarez plays off Andy Carroll.
    • 16:20 Right, back to the task at hand as Brighton aim to reach the quarter-final for the first time since 1986 and Liverpool aim to continue their unbeaten home run which stretches to 15 games.
    • 16:15 Right, well, there's the draw. only one confirmed tie - an interesting encounter between Everton and Sunderland.
    • 16:14 Everton v Sunderland
    • 16:14 Stevenage or Tottenham v Bolton
    • 16:13 Chelsea or Birmingham v Leicester City
    • 16:13 Liverpool or Brighton v Stoke City
    • 16:10 We are with Jim Rosenthal, Peter Reid and Wayne Allison at Wembley - Reid is presented with a replacement of his FA Cup runners-up medal. He auctioned the original to help cash-strapped Plymouth Argyle.
    • 16:05 Luis Suarez starts for Liverpool today, and he may well get a more sympathetic reception than he did at Old Trafford last weekend. His fellow Uruguayan, Brighton manager Gus Poyet, has been a staunch defender of Suarez.
    • 16:00 The sixth round draw will take place at 16:10 - Peter Reid and Wayne Allison will be on hand to pick the balls. Ties to be played over the weekend of 17 March. Match may be scheduled for the Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday.
    • 15:55 Before we get into this match, we will have the sixth round draw - Everton, Leicester, Bolton, Sunderland and Stoke have booked their places in the last eight. Chelsea and Birmingham will have a replay, while Tottenham and Stevenage also look set for a replay.

  1. I guess for Suarez to be only averaging 6.5 by Yahoo users, as I write, must mean there must be quite a few haters (not lfc fans) who gave him 0 or 1 and thus brought his average down... I gave him 9 - he was brilliant, as usual. Henderson, tho, continues do nothing for me, and I don't really see what his purpose is in the side...
