After a dramatic end to the first half, we're off again at the Riverside. Middlesbrough need to find a goal from somewhere or they're headed out. Early throw to Sunderland.
44' And this time Main nearly scores on the turn. Great save from Mignolet to parry it round for a corner.

15' McMahon crosses in to Main but he just can't gt enough power into his shot. Half chance.
12' Hoyte tries to find Jutkiewicz but O'Shea there again. Long range shot from Arca saved by Mignolet at the second attempt off his chest. Powerful effort.

3' Larsson fires in a shot direct from the free kick but Steele saves comfortably.
Referee Anthony Taylor blows the whistle and gets us underway here. It should be a typically combative FA Cup encounter, especially given that it is also a Tees-Wear derby. Sunderland kick-off, playing in their change strip of blue and white. Early ball in headed away by Middlesbrough.

Max

come on ipswich beeat the jerks

Footmanpub---it's goals that count---in any game/competition!
SDtatistics will only say who won---not how--or if they were "lucky"!
Many teams have had 90% of play/possession--only to lose a match---including Sunderland---that's football--and hopefully it will always be so!

Tony-try not to choke on your PG tips !

Boro played amazing, fabulous to see such a home grown team playing from their roots and their heart

Boro done well, got men behind the ball to try and stop us and snatched a goal, but in the end the better team won, even though we werent at our best, the sad geordies may get their predictions right in the next round,Arsenal will be tough !! Nice to be there to have a chance though eh! my sad magpie friends !!

Thank you cameron

Don't agree with Martin O'Neills comments who thinks Sunderland were the better team.
