    • 83' O'Shea plays a long ball into the box, Bates heads away while falling and Campbell is penalised for a foul on the Boro defender.
    • 82' Good composure by Ripley, kicking away under pressure. A big test for the 19-year0old who is the sun of Stuart Ripley. Coyne has his calf taped up with ice.

    • 80' Middlesbrough are changing their goalkeeper: Connor Ripley is on for Danny Coyne.

    • 66' McClean pings it into the box from the left and this time its Boro's chance to make a flying clearance.

    • 41' Back into the Boro area, where Coyne reacts well to punch it away with Wickham lurking.
    • 40' ...the goal was disallowed for an offside against Wickham who was deemed to be interfering. The striker didn't touch the ball, but Gardner DID handball in the build-up. Correct decision in the end, but for the wrong reason.
    • 39' GOAL DISALLOWED! Craig Gardner finishes superbly off the post but there is an offside flag up... there is some debate and the ref goes for a conflab with the linesman...

    • 19' Lukas Jutkiewicz pulls the ball back from the right for Emnes, who cannot get his shot away from under his feet.
    • 18' A small amount of aggro by the touchline as Kieran Richardson tangles with an opponent by standing over him and not moving. Silly stuff.

    • 10' Sessegnon is allowed to run, beats Robson and clips a head-high cross in from the right... Gardner heads wide!
    • 8' Boro do not have too many players with Premier League experience - Justin Hoyte one of the few household names. However, they are acquitting themselves much better in the Championship than the all-star team put together.

Was McClean made man of the match for the deliberate back head butt on Williams?
I don't see how the above commentator arrived at the verdict of "no Intent".
He Knew exactly what he was doing.
The rest of the match he was snapping at the opposition like a mad dog.
    Typical O'Neill style of player.

Hard lines Boro, by far the better side. They should have had a hat full and Sunderlands equaliser was against the run of play and more as a result of an error by Boro than from their ability.
