    • 76' Great bit of skill from Sordell to turn past Kaboul, and it helps Watford win a corner.
    • 74' Great spell of attacking possession from Watford here. The ball coems to Buaben on the edge of the box. He takes it on his chest and gets a decent shot away but Cudicini is down to save and hold.

    • 64' Parker slips over after being caught in possession and is grateful to see Kaboul mop up after him. Watford keeping the pressure on though. They deserve a goal.
    • 62' That said, Watford are still comfortably leading in terms of chances. They've had six on target and nine off target so far.
    • 61' Spurs beginning to show some more dynamism in midfield now. Even Emmanuel adebayor is starting to have some influence after a poor first hour.
    • 60' Garner motors down the the byline but Livermore is on hand make the challenge and win a goal kick. Livermore has started all 11 of Tottenham's cup matches so far this season.
    • 58' Really neat two-touch move forward by Spurs. Lennon cuts inside and scampers across the edge of the box but Watford snuff the move out. Watford break and Sordell is thinking about a shot until Parker makes a vital tackle on him.
    • 56' Rose lashes a low ball across the box that neither Defoe nor any of his team-mates can get a touch on.
    • 54' Spurs fail to make the most of the corner. Walker insists he was bundled over as the cross came in, but the referee saw nothing.
    • 53' Rose makes tracks down the left and hoists a high cross to the far post that Walker meets with a header... Tipped over the bar by Loach!
    • 52' Spurs have a free-kick in a good position for the shot. Van der Vaart whips it over the wall but well wide. It looks like the ball moved slightly just before he struck it.
    • 50' So close for Watford again! Seam Murray's exquistely taken finish rebounds off the far post and Troy Deeney hits his follow-up effort wide!
    • 49' The ball comes all the way to Eustace. He dinks the ball over Walker and blasts his volley over the bar!

    • 46' The second half is underway!
    • HT Tottenham substitution: Lennon replaces Modric.
    • 45+1' Half-time is called, and Spurs should feel a little sheepish about their lead.
    • 45' One minute of stoppage time to be played. Despite his team being behind, Dyche will have an easier team talk at the break than Redknapp.
    • 44' The 4,000 or so away fans are now chanting "We've only had one shot"!
    • 43' Rafael van der Vaart's first FA Cup goal is so harsh on Watford, who have played so well for much of the first half.
    • 42' GOAL!! WATFORD 0-1 TOTTENHAM!! A Watford attack fizzles out and Spurs break. Walker bursts down the right and plays inside to Van der Vaart. The Dutchman fires a strike from perhaps 30 yards that bounces in front of Loach and beats him!
    • 41' Modric pings a ball across the deck to the feet of Van der Vaart but the Dutchman can't keep it under control.

    • 38' Spurs keeping the ball well around the box and in the final third, but they are being kept at bay by Watford comfortably.

    • 34' Buaben goes for a shot on the turn from 25 yards out but Dawson makes the block.
    • 33' Spurs finally beginning to find some space in the midfield now after being crowded out by Watford.
    • 31' The Dutchman's delivery to the far post is a good one but the ball is guided away from Kaboul just in time.
    • 30' Rose makes a good run down the wing past Garner and he's brought down by Mariappa. Van der Vaart will have plenty of white shirts to aim for in the box.
    • 29' A rare foray forward from Spurs. Defoe plays a one-two with Van der Vaart on the edge of the box. The striker snatches at a half-volley and it bounces up for Loach to catch comfortably.
    • 27' Murray floats his free-kick to the back post and Spurs clear with ease. Disappointing use of a promising set piece.
    • 26' Rose barges Joel Garner over down near the Tottenham byline. A foul is not given for that but the Hornets soon win one about 10 yards back up the pitch.
    • 24' Right-back Lee Hodson joins in the Watford attack and goes for a half-volley, but the ball dropped awkwardly for him and the effort is harmlessly wide.
    • 23' In the night's other FA Cup fourth-round clash, Everton are currently goalless with Fulham at Goodison Park with 10 minutes gone. Follow that match here

    • 19' Walker goes bombing down the right wing. He's got bags of pace but Lloyd Doyley keeps up with him and forces him out of play and clattering into the hoarding behind the goal.
    • 18' Spurs appear to have rode out that dominant spell from Watford, but they do not look like threatening Scott Loach's goal at the moment.
    • 16' Now Prince Buaben gets in on the act! The Ghanaian midfielder has time to line up a strike from range and his effort flashes just wide of the near upright!
    • 15' Sordell gets in between Dawson and Kaboul and turns Troy Deeney's cross wide from close range! Another great chance for Watford!
    • 13' Scott Parker is helping to tidy things up in midfield but the pressure is still all coming from the home side right now.
    • 12' Tottenham have got more defending to do here. Danny Rose is having a poor start to the game at left-back.
    • 10' Regarding the earlier chant from the Watford fans, Spurs supporters have responded with: "He'll pay what he wants, He'll pay what he wants, Harry Redknapp, He'll pay what he wants!"
    • 9' Another good Watford move - down the right again - ends with John Eustace firing over the bar. Good spell this for the home side.
    • 7' Watford take their turn to enjoy some good attacking possesion. Sean Murray nicks the ball off Luka Modric and fires a solid low strike that Cudicini palms away! Kaboul clears before Sordell can pounce on the rebound!
    • 6' Marvin Sordell goes on a roving run down the right. He has options to pass as he cuts inside but he goes for a low shot at the near post which trickles towards Carlo Cudicini.
    • 5' "Stand up if you pay your tax!" is the chant from the home fans as the visitors continue to look very comfortable in possession.
    • 4' Great battling by Jermain Defoe as he drops deep. Jake Livermore helps the ball across to Kyle Walker as Spurs keep possession well.
    • 3' There have been 41 goals scored in the last 10 FA Cup matches involving Watford.
    • 2' Somehow neglected to tell you that the referee this evening is Chris Foy, the man in the middle when Spurs controversially lost at Stoke earlier in the season.
    • 1' Watford kick off to get the fourth round of the FA Cup underway!
    • 19:43 The players are walking out on to the pitch now. Watford have not beaten Spurs since a League Cup second leg in 1994, but their 3-2 win at White Hart Lane could not overturn the 6-3 deficit from the first leg. Can they spring an upset this evening?
    • 19:40 We are just five minutes away from kick-off at Vicarage Road now. You can share your thoughts on the game by getting in touch with me via Twitter @tony_mabert.
    • 19:35 Tottenham assistant manager Kevin Bond: "(Redknapp) has been no different to how he has always been. He appears, when I speak to him - and I would know - to be every bit as focused as he has been. We haven't felt we had to have a conversation with the players. Everyone is aware of the ongoing situation and everybody gets on with it. Harry wasn't here for a few days a few weeks back and really we are just carrying on without him. To a large degree the training is exactly the same."
    • 19:30 Sean Dyche: "It's hard enough to know everything about Tottenham with the amount of players and the amount of quality they've got. It's always awkward planning against a side who can change it in so many ways. They can play so many different formations with the players they've got and, of course, their main thing is to be equipped for the Premier League and to try and be a real force, and that's what they're becoming."
    • 19:25 Head-to-head: Watford and Spurs have met four times in the FA Cup and Tottenham have won all four games, scoring 17 goals in the process. The last meeting between the sides came in the Carling Cup in December 2008 when Watford took the lead only to lose 1-2 at Vicarage Road. There are currently 34 places in the league pyramid seperating these two clubs.
    • 19:20 Adrian Mariappa starts for Watford. The centre-back was the subject of a failed bid from Newcastle at the start of this week. The interest has not prevented manager Sean Dyche from selecting Mariappa. Ten-goal striker Marvin Sordell, who has also been linked with a January move, leads the line for the Hornets side. Influential midfielder Jonathan Hogg returned from a minor knee injury to start last Saturday's 3-0 Championship defeat at Birmingham, but he does not start this evening. Watford team page
    • 19:15 Watford: Loach, Hodson, Mariappa, Nosworthy, Doyley, Eustace, Deeney, Buaben, Murray, Sordell, Garner. Subs: Bond, Dickinson, Yeates, Iwelumo, Forsyth, Jenkins, Whichelow /// Tottenham: Cudicini, Walker, Kaboul, Dawson, Rose, Parker, Van der Vaart, Modric, Livermore, Adebayor, Defoe. Subs: Friedel, Lennon, Pavlyuchenko, Bassong, Kranjcar, Assou-Ekotto, Pienaar.
    • 19:10 We're waiting for confirmation of the Watford team, but for Spurs Gareth Bale (thigh) is missing. The Welshman came off during training on Wednesday and does not play while Ledley King (knee) is be rested. Sandro, William Gallas (both calf) and Tom Huddlestone (ankle) are unavailable. However, Younes Kaboul has recovered from a groin problem and partners Michael Dawson in the centre of defence and midfielder Scott Parker has overcome a hamstring complaint to play in a strong Spurs side. Bale wins Goal of the Week
    • 19:05 Spurs manager Hary Redknapp is back in the dugout following the first week of his tax evasion trial. Redknapp denies the two charges brought against him. In tape recordings played at Southwark Crown Court from police questioning in 2009, Redknapp said: "I pay a fortune to my accountant to look after me you know. He writes all the cheques for me and my wife. He pays my bills. He runs my life basically." More on that story

  1. I have to admit that we were poor and Watford deserved a draw at least. But you don't win anything with bad luck as it showed when we played, Man City, Stoke and Wolves. It would be interesting to see who we get next round. As long as were are at home I think we can beat anyone. Adebayor needs to be dropped and play Pav, or Pav and Defoe together. I don't know what wages Adebayor is on but for doing absolute nothing he probably earns £1,000 per minute! Shocking! I could do the same and I'd only want £100 per minute.
