90' GREAT CHANCE FOR TOTTENHAM! Assou-Ekotto's long ball sets Obika free. Peltier though ran back to do just enough to stop the young Spurs striker pulling the trigger with a great sliding tackle.- 89' Assou-Ekotto booked for a handball. Leeds will take their time with the free-kick.

- 74' McCormack and then Varney both look to get away crosses just inside the box – the latter does eventually but there is no white shirt there.
- 73' Lees does superbly well to block a shot from Dempsey as for a moment it looked like Tottenham had a great chance to level.
- 72' GREAT CHANCE FOR LEEDS! McCormack is allowed to run free again off a long ball as Assou-Ekotto slips. The angle is tight but he fires a decent effort on target and Friedel has to make a great save.
- 71' Superb little spin move from Bale takes out two defenders – too much on his cross though but Tottenham eventually win a corner as Dembele's shot takes a deflection wide.

- 51' GOAL LEEDS – Stunning stuff from McCormack - a simply ball from Diouf puts him away but he still has Caulker in front of him. However, he checks onto his left foot and curls a superb strike around Caulker and Friedel and into the top corner of the net.
- 49' Bale gets Tottenham's first attack of the half going but Sigurdsson is then defended well.
- 48' Now Vertonghen has to clean up his own mess after making a hash of a header back – looked like it hit his arm too but the Belgian gets away with it.
- 47' Tottenham give the ball away very cheaply and Varney is allowed to run into the box again – Huddlestone with a good sliding tackle though. Half-hearted appeals for a penalty but nothing wrong with that.
- 47' Bright start to the half from Leeds who win an early corner but Spurs defend it.
46' And the second-half is underway – no changes from either side.- - As good a first half as Leeds could have hoped for - they're 1-0 up and looking comfortable. Every chance of yet another surprise result this weekend.

Agree with Geoff below - have said this right from the start - AVB = failure.....totally naive and unproven in the English game - failed at Chelski and now will do the same with Spurs........bad tactics, bad team choice & to be honest, a bad manager...........should never have been given the job - love or hate Harry, the team he produced climbed the ladder, now it is stagnant again under AVB.
