    • 89' Lots of fans heading for the exits early. Hard to blame them - this one has been over for a long time.
    • 87' Rodallega drags a decent chance wide of the target. 4-2 would be a silly scoreline really - United should have won this match by more really.
    • 85' Seen a replay of Rooney's disallowed goal and it did indeed look like Hernandez fouled Hughes.
    • 84' Berbatov runs out of space after trying a one-two with Rodallega.
    • 83' United shift the ball from right to left with ease and Rooney sweeps home but Hernandez was adjudged to have fouled Hughes in the build up. Soft enough but a small mercy for Fulham.

    • 27' There are about 70,000 inside Old Trafford today but you can hear shouting from players on the pitch. There was some criticism that this game was picked for television ahead of the clashes involving non-league sides and it really has not been much of a contest so far.
    • 26' Now Rooney tries a shot from distance that's saved by Schwarzer. Again too straight but United just peppering the Fulham goal. Too easy.
    • 25' Nani turns Riise well inside the box but he curls a shot wide of the target. Both Rooney and Hernadez were looking for a pass.
    • 24' Nani gets good pop on a shot from the edge of the D from a standing position straight at Schwarzer though.
    • 23' Fulham having plenty of the ball but there is a lack of urgency in their play. That goes for their defending too which has been very lethargic. United in cruise control.
    • 21' GREAT SAVE SCHWARZER! Anderson slipped in Nani who fired across a good ball. Rooney did well to control it but his finish should have been better – still a great save by Schwarzer.
    • 20' UNITED SHOULD HAVE ANOTHER PENALTY! And again it was for handball as Giggs' looped ball hits the arm of Duff.
    • 19' Very good work from Anderson who tidies things up in defensively before starting a counter attack.
    • 18' Evra wins a corner for United off Riether. Rooney's cross goes all the way to the other corner flag and Jones' cross back in goes wide.
    • 16' Fulham have actually had more possession – 54 per cent so far.
    • 15' Riise fails to clear and Nani can run in from the right but he fires a poor shot towards the near post that Schwarzer saves. A cross might have been a better option.
    • 14' Fulham keep the ball for a spell but Duff's cross cannot find anyone.
    • 13' Not much of an atmosphere inside Old Trafford – it is almost as if the home fans consider the tie over and given Fulham's away form could you blame them?
    • 12' Smalling kicks the ball out for a corner despite De Gea rushing out. United defend the corner though.
    • 11' Berbatov gets the ball and looks to slow things down. Fulham just looking to keep the ball and work from there.

  1. Well as a Fulham fan i am really concerned about whats­ going on.....on the pitch. Sidwell was ridiculous, the­ whole defensive line.... Bryan Ruiz got quality on­ holding the ball but he needs fast wingers, fast­ forwards. Berbatov is playing more like an attacking­ midfielder....so we reimain most of the time without a­ striker.. He holds the ball in the midfield area and­ connects the game but...hs is not running forward to­ take the final ball. Rodallega has no quality my­ opinion. The only thing i am glad about this game is­ the it was only 4:1. That could have really destroyed­ our damaged confidence.!!! It could have been 8 or­ 9...if Schwarzer didnt have some fantastic shots­ stopped, the regular United goal wasnt disallowed, and­ the second penalty (Duff hand ball) was given.

Superman the penalty rewarded to united should have­ gone the other way , smalling was climbing on the­ players shoulder ,i am not surprised the shove was ­ responsible for the player being pushed into the ball ,­ thus a clattenburg.......'thank you very much from­ a united ref. Supporter fergie's birthday gift­ bellated'...........i saw the evening replay and­ the ref.was not prepared to give fulham anything and a­ gift to united ........once again it made it easy with­ everything going for you. hernandez is a poacher the­ same as was owen , doesn't do anything accept prey­ on a spill or stays offside until ball comes to give­ him ........then refs. Deem him to receive the ball­ onside .............why this discrepancy?

    Utd were awesome today, they looked as tho they are a­ team again. Only with the exception of the 20' of ­ Kagawa is lazy and you have to be a hare with that­ height or you can't play soccer. Think he­ hasn't seen the hairdryer yet but he will soon see­ it It's as if he is out of his element, hope he­ improves rapidly
