  1. What this result actually means is that once again­ Australia will qualify for the 2nd round in the World­ Cup and, if the draw is kind, will get to the quarter­ finals. Holland did not put out a 2nd string side­ here. This is an awesome result for the Aussies.

  5. The Netherlands match now looms on the horizon as the­ Socceroos take on the 3rd rank team in the world at­ home. Pim the Great picked the best squad in this­ important build up to the World Cup. It will be a­ cracking game as Netherlands will seek to redeem their­ earlier loss. Two losses on the trot against Australia­ would be humiliating for them and give us the edge come­ 2010.
