  1. Shameer can India, Bangladesh or Pakistan play football? Your name sounds like West Asian or Arab. I don't think West Asians can't play football. Always dominated by far east oriental asians in that part of continent. At least Japan has qualified to every world cup since 1998. And their youth teams are better than any team in the world. J-League had players like Hulk but he's gone to FC Porto. When J-League started they had so many top international stars. Almost half the world cup 94 winning Brazil players were playing... I know they (Japan) are @#$%. But not that @#$%. Cos top clubs won't go to friendlies there much. Real and Man United had humiliating defeats to likes of Verdy Tokyo 1969 and Kashima Antlers. Anyways I'm half English (My mum is English) so I support England only. I was born in London. Don't support Japan and don't care.

  4. nobody thought japan win against netherlands in japan.
some players are good, but other .... lol

  5. Honda plays for VVV Venlo and Hasebe plays for VfL Wolfsburg. For your information cos someone said only Nakamura plays overseas. Rumours has that Chelsea were checking out Honda for the January transfer window but now it wont happen!

  6. thats european level. although japan hasnt been reaching yet, they will be better. think they need more power, such as physical stuff. but sometimes dont understand what a japanese manager is doing...

  7. I'm not disputing that J-League has good players. But I'm jut arguing that Japan is not the best team in Asia. Argentina and Brazil are way ahead of everyone except Spain in bringing young players through. The difference of the quality of players is massive. Look at the players come through Japan and players from Brazil. Who would you rather have? Kaka or Nakamura? That's why SAF wants Brazilian players not Japanese. Saying that anyone can give any top class team a good run for their money on their day.

  8. Shameer, jus tbecause the J-League isint good enough dosent mean there isint any decent players in there, okay so the brazilian league isint exactly the greatest! but there is still players in the league that manchester united want! and if fergie think your good you cant be that bad! same for argentina league how many team can you name from the league ?? but still boca juniors and some unheard teams seem to be able to produce players that is world class standard! :) and okay i thought U.S.A is ment to be pathetic at "soccer" becasue they have all thier other sports but they seem to be able to beat spain and give brazil a good run for thier money! ;)

  11. australia is not asia

    From anas_luqman, on Sat 5 Sep 3:21PM
  12. Australia finished the qualifying unbeaten, Japan qualified second. WC2006 Australia beat Japan in group stages qualifying from Oceania. Then lost to a dive from Grosso to Italy who were the eventual winners. Australia ranked 14th in the World. Japan 40th. Australia beat Ireland 3-0 in Ireland and a much stronger Holland 2-1 in Rotterdam. A-League plays with a salary cap and focused on bringing young players though the system that's why A-League hasn't performed. All the other Asian Clubs have unlimited cash to spend.

  13. lets just hope the dutch dont mess it up on the big stage

  14. Be nice if you knew what you were talking about there,
Viduka is old and @#$%, Kewell has gone AWOL, Neill and Grella are past it.

Japan have several players in European leagues, I'd put money on them getting further than Australia.
Australia have a far worse National League, the A-league is more of a joke than the J-league.
    But not by far.

End of the day, no Asian club will win the world cup or come close anytime soon.

  19. Well Done Holland. Bring on two attacking players in the 2nd half and two goals. That's the difference between the two sides. Australia are by far the best team in Asia when they have all of their best players. Cahill,Viduka,Kewell, Neill,Emerton,Grella. Japan say they want to reach the semi finals of the world cup. They'll be lucky to get a point in the group stages. J-League is not good enough and whole Japanese team is from that league except Nakamura.

From Shameer, on Sat 5 Sep 2:47PM
