  2. Why does anyone place any real importance on the result­ of a friendly. It means absolutely nothing as managers­ try out systems, set plays, fringe players and new­ signings. The result is irrelevant.

  4. Lads, dont think Al Ahly is garbage. They do have­ quality players there. However, it just seems that­ Celtic brought more to the table. Seeing as this is­ also a friendly, we do not even know if Al Ahly played­ a proper team. Also, as Egypt are focusing on­ qualifying, it is likely that some of the key players­ did not feature for this game. Nevertheless, great­ result for Celtic. Shame Nakamura recently left.

Huns & snipers - While Al Ahly may not be Real­ Madrid, they're a half decent team if you'd­ bother to have a check as the Singin Ginger has said -­ They are a superior team to the Orlando Pirates who­ pumped Man City 2-0 last week - Inter from Brazil just­ beat them in the semi's of World Club Champs last­ year then beat Barcelona in the final with Al Ahly­ winning 3rd place play off so they're obviously no­ as s hite as Rankers .... But its only a friendly in­ pre-season so nobody's getttin carried away, bigger­ test on Sunday then bigger again on Wed so we'l see­ .... BUT av got good vibes about this year, wether they­ can click early in time for CL is another story but­ Mogga's team will do okay when the settle and when­ they add a classy centre half to partner Gazza ( Sorry­ big Mik ) unless Mik gets back to his best + finds a­ bit more pace .............
