    • - Thanks for joining us there, Hull win on penalties and will face Spurs in the final!
    • 5-4 Yunhai to take in sudden death... and he smashes it well over, Hull win the shoot-out, 5-4. Lucky Hull really, Beijing were by far the better side.
    • 5-4 Folan for Hull slides it easy as you like down the middle.
    • 4-4 Hui HAS to score to keep Beijing in this and he cooly places it in the middle with Duke going the wrong way.
    • 4-3 Bryan Hughes steps up and calmly slides it into the bottom right.
    • 3-3 Sui to put Beijing ahead... but he blasts it over! Terrible penalty. Still 3-3.
    • 3-3 Marney for Hull... he smashes it to the left but a great save by Zhi who parries after getting the direction right!
    • 3-3 Bowen to take this one for Beijing, another low one into the bottom left.
    • 3-2 Cousin is next for Hull... Great penalty just below the top left.
    • 2-2 Defender Ting steps up for Beijing... And he smashes it to the left of the goal, too much power for Duke who got a hand on it.
    • 2-1 Dawson steps up and rifles it down the middle with Zhi diving to the right. 2-1.
    • 1-1 Wei does the same, lower than Devitt, bottom right and past Duke. 1-1.
    • 1-0 Hull's Devitt steps up for the first penalty... no mistake, bottom right.
    • 90+2 Final whistle, 1-1, Giovanni's opener cancelled out by William Modibo and it's penalties to decide this match!!
    • 90+1 Cousin fouls as the clock winds down, penalties it will be it seems...
    • 90' Two minutes added time being played.
    • 89' Good delivery, Martinez is in but Hull clear... long-range shot is easy for Duke.
    • 88' Guo to take... he swings it in and a wicked curl on it forces Duke to back-track and tip it over for a corner.
    • 87' Zayatte gives away a needless free-kick on the left wing, edge of the area...
    • 86' Good run by Kilbane down the left, he slides the ball across for Cousin but William clears.
    • 85' Guo gets in behind Turner and could be in after a defensive mix-up but the ref blows for a foul.
    • 82' Hull effectively have their backs against the wall now, clearly tired and losing concentration.
    • 80' Gardner gives it away and Martinez is in on the right, he gets around Gardner again and drills it in low, Duke misses it and Guo slides in to finish but off the post! Almost a dramatic goal for Beijing!
    • 79' Garnder shepherds the ball back to the keeper Duke under pressure from Hul.
    • 77' Boateng replaced by Daweson, Mendy off for Devitt.
    • 75' Mendy is still on the pitch and wins a header on the right wing but the ref blows before Cousin can attack it.
    • 73' Looks like Mendy is coming off now, tired and booked...
    • 72' Wei to take the corner but a terrible delivery, way too long and out for a throw.
    • 71' Hull are tiring as another corner goes the way of Beijing.
    • 68' Yunhai blocks Mendy, who pulls him down and is penalised. Should have been a Hull free-kick.
    • 67' Martinez tries one from range but Duke holds on easily enough.
    • 65' BEIJING SUB: Guo on for the impressive Xiangchuang.
    • 63' HULL TRIPLE SUB: Cousin, Zayatte and Hughes on for Barmby, Halmosi and Marney.
    • 62' Good run by Martinez in on the left and Turner comes across and slides in and is that a penalty? Martinez thinks so but bizarrely the ref gives a goal kick. That should either have been a pen or a corner and the replay shows he came across the player and nicked the ball so should have been a corner.
    • 61' Nasty tackle from Mendy into the back of Martinez, he went in high with the boot and arm, late too. Yellow card.
    • 60' Taken by Wei but he sends it well over.
    • 59' Turner fouls Martinez on the edge of the D, Bowen wants it...
    • 57' Beijing sub: The delightfully named 'Huang Bowen' comes on for Matic. He is not Welsh.
    • 55' Hull on a rare attack, played in from the left for Giovanni who smashes it towards the bottom right from the edge of the box but a superb low save by Zhi and out for a corner. Excellent stop.
    • 54' Joel Griffiths gets it on the edge of the box and has a crack but snatches at it and drags the ball well wide.
    • 53' Wei plays it down the right but ahead of Ryan Griffiths.
    • 52' Beijing are playing with a lot more confidence after the equaliser, and they probably have the edge on Hull in terms of match fitness as they are midway through their season in China.
    • 50' Dongliang gets it on the edge of the box and fires in a vicious drive but parried by Duke!
    • 49' Free-kick to Hull on the right, swung in and Turner again flies in but the keeper punches clear.
    • 48' Another good attack from Beijing again but it breaks down and Hull clear.
    • 47' The corner is taken short, it's swung in by Griffiths, the keeper is nowehere and William gets ahead of Gardner to poke it in for 1-1!
    • 46' Second half underway!! Beijing win a corner immediately.
    • 45+1 A Hull move down the left breaks down and the whistle goes, half-time, Hull lead 1-0 but Beijing have not done badly at all.
    • 45' The corner comes to nothing and Hull clear as we enter one minute of injury time...
    • 44' Joel Griffiths has a pop from distance that takes a touch off Turner and trickles out for a corner.
    • 42' Martinez is down injured, the physios come on, he was kicked late by Fagan, surprised no card there.
    • 40' Matic is booked for cumulative offending, obstructing Boateng, hardly a foul but his fifth or sixth.
    • 39' Super play by Ryan Griffiths down the left to sprint into space after the turn but a great slide tackle from Mendy and it's a corner to Beijing.
    • 38' Good attack from Beijing but the final ball is poor from Xiang... wide left again and Griffiths flies in to meet Ting's cross but wide!
    • 36' Martinez to take again, he doesn't shoot but goes wide left for Ting but his header across goal is easy for Duke.
    • 35' Free-kick to the Chinese, won by Matic after Barmby went into him challenging for a header...
    • 33' Xiangchuang gets in down the right but the flick-on from Griffiths is too powerful for him and it's out for a goal kick.
    • 31' Martinez to take this then, from some distance... he shoots low for the near post, Duke is well out of position and he takes an age to get across and palms it clumsily on to the post and for a corner! Poor keeping.
    • 30' Boateng hauls down Martinez about 35 yards out, a bit of a row with Griffiths but no card..
    • 30' Xiangchuang cuts in from the right, plays it into Matic who is up from the back, a great backheel from him and Xiangchuang shoots but just over!
    • 29' Beijing having a touch more of the ball now but unable to do anything with it, Joel Griffiths almost gets in and knocks it back to Martinez but blocked.
    • 27' Swung in by Halmosi but the whistle goes, Folan is down but it was offside, oddly. Halmosi caught out on the return from Giovanni.
    • 26' Corner to Hull on the right, to be taken short by Halmosi and Giovanni again.
    • 25' Hull with another promising break but the final ball from Marney is poor.
    • 23' Martinez almost gets Joel Griffiths in but Gardner clears.
    • 22' Jiang is late on Halmosi, who goes down like a ton of bricks and Jiang is booked.
    • 21' Some hesitant defending by Hull but Kilbane is a steady old hand and brings it clear after Zayatte and Gardner threatened to give it away twice.
    • 19' Barmby strays offside when he really should have held a line there.
    • 17' Corner swung over by Giovanni and Turner flies in with the keeper nowhere but the Hull defender heads it wide! Should have been 2-0.
    • 16' Hull come forward down the left, good run by Halmosi who is in at the near post, he drags it past Zhi and put behind for a corner by William! That was close to an own goal.
    • 15' Hull are looking a lot more comfortable after that goal and have had most of the possession since. They're knocking it about in midfield fairly easily now and Marney wins a free-kick off Joel Griffiths.
    • 13' Hull counter after the ref waved play on and Giovanni is in on the edge of the box, he has support but goes it alone and shoots but dragged into the side netting!
    • 12' Good move by Beijing and Ryan Griffiths holds it up and turns on the edge of the box and Gardner hauls him down but nothing given! Looked like a foul to me!
    • 11' Hull have a corner on the right which Halmosi takes short but the cross from Giovanni is too close to the keeper.
    • 10' Marney almost gets in behind the Beijing defence but keeper Zhi manages to get a palm on it and the Chinese side clear.
    • 9' Hao with a terrible clearance, giving it straight to Giovanni 30 yards out, he moves forward and has a crack and that's a great goal, rifled into the top left for 1-0! Super goal by the Brazilian.
    • 8' Mendy does well on the right to clear after Marney was caught short.
    • 7' Nervous defending by Ting but he manages to clear without giving away a corner.
    • 6' Another short corner and swung in by Martinez for Hao who heads on goal but just over! Definitely Beijing starting better here.
    • 5' The corner is taken short and swung in, taking Gardner by surprise and Ryan Griffiths is in but the shot is blocked for a corner again!
    • 4' Strong tackle on Joel Griffiths by Kilbane, playing left-back. Corner to Beijing.
    • 2' Confident start from the Chinese, with Martinez and the Griffiths brothers combining well on the right.
    • 1' Match underway!!

  3. I'm not going to write Hull City off.
but this season will be a real test for them and it will be harder.

They'll have to start off like they did last season.Out the traps!

Luck played a big part in them staying up.

They had a poor run and the stats showed this.

If they had of been relegated, how many fans would have applied for a season ticket?
That's what I dislike about teams that get promoted to the Prem, alot of the fans are glory hunters.

I wish Hull alot of luck..

  6. Tigers fans are from the local area. The team is supported by great people who want Hull to play better football than any other season (apart from the time Arsenal got their arse kicked - that was fine)

That is why we support the Tigers by going to the matches NOT following a tag name Man U, Chelsea blah, blah most of their fans never even see them play live or live in the vicinity.

We know they're not the greatest team in the world but we'd like them to be. Not bad for a team with f*ck all money so what's the excuses of other teams mediocre play?
