    • - Thanks for joining us this afternoon!
    • 90'+2 FT. That's it! Man City win 2-1. Gareth Barry and Craig Bellamy's goals do it for the home side.
    • 90' Celtic attacking to the last.
    • 88' Celtic win a corner and Donati takes a sore one on the face as he tries to be brave in the area.
    • 86' So close from O'Dea! McGinn whips a cross in from the right side and O'Dea heads back across goal, and only just wide!
    • 85' O'Dea reads play very well and easily cuts out what was becoming an intricate build-up from City. Donati then wins a corner for Celtic at the other end.
    • 81' Fox manages to curl a free-kick around the wall but Given gathers. A little more power and pace and he may have beaten the keeper there...
    • 78' Bumper change for Celtic. Conroy, Ferry, Fox and McGinn comes on for Samaras, McCourt, Naylor and Flood!
    • 76' Petrov wins a corner for City as he tries to stamp his authority on the game.
    • 74' Almost into the final 15 minutes now and Zabaleta flies in on Samaras. Late challenge, very late.
    • 73' Man City follow suit. Weiss comes on for SWP and Robinho makes way for Petrov.
    • 69' Double change for Celtic: Crosas makes way for McGeady and Caddis leaves as Hinkel comes on.
    • 68' Ben Haim with a well-timed slide on Flood to halt the Celtic's man progress inside the City area. McDonald heads just over the bar from the corner.
    • 67' Tevez's first touch wins a corner for City. Naturally his actions are cheered.
    • 66' Massive roar from the home crowd as Tevez comes on for Bellamy.
    • 64' Good reaction stop from Zaluska to deny SWP, who snaps a shot off.
    • 63' Celtic starting to put some pressure on City now, as McDonald tries to glance the ball onto Fortune.
    • 60' Double substitution for Celtic. McDonald is on for Killen and Mizuno makes way for Fortune.
    • 59' Robinho so very nearly links with Bellamy again. They're on the same wavelength, but justcan't find the final pass.
    • 57' Superb play from McCourt as he beats three or four City players before sending the ball across the face of Given's goal. Killen is so close to sliding in on it. Samaras forces a save from Given with a shot from 18 yards shortly after.
    • 55' Naylor has to get a telling touch on Ireland's cross to concede a corner with Adebayor lurking at the far post...
    • 53' Ben Haim with a very unconvincing attempt at a clearance. He slices the ball into the air and Given has to catch.
    • 50' GOAL FOR MAN CITY! Bellamy with a superb goal! He turns O'Dea inside out before firing low into the bottom left corner past Zaluska. Bridge with the ball through for the scorer.
    • 49' Bellamy lays the ball off for Robinho, whose low and curling effort is smothered by Zaluska.
    • 48' Mizuno flashes the ball across the face of goal. Killen's inches from making contact!
    • 47' Mizuno has the first shot of the game, but it's well off target.
    • 46' Kick off. We're back underway...
    • - Half-time sub for City: Adebayor on for De Jong.
    • 45'+1 HT. The scores are level at the break at Eastlands.
    • 45' Robinho has a shot blocked and then tries to curl a lob over Zaluska, but it's not got enough on it.
    • 45' Mizuno makes a hash of a free-kick from 30 yards or so, as Celtic waste a sighting of goal.
    • 42' City break and Ireland dribbles through the Celtic defence! The ball breaks to Robinho but Donati manages to get in and concede the corner.
    • 40' Celtic break up another Man City attack. Ireland lofts a cross into the six-yard area but Zaluska can pick the ball off SWP's head.
    • 38' Robinho flashes a shot from 30 yards wide.
    • 36' Ireland's shot is deflected wide for a corner. SWP puts it to the far post but it's over-cooked. Celtic manage to shepherd the danger away as Flood jockeys Robinho on the edge of the area.
    • 35' Robinho almost finds Bellamy with a linking ball but Zaluska is alert and intercepts.
    • 34' Dunne prevents Mizuno from getting a ball in and concedes a corner. Celtic have a couple in a row but can't make anything of them.
    • 32' Bellamy is caught offside, but Zaluska was covering anyway.
    • 30' SWP manages to get a cross in from the right but it's over-hit. City have the ball deep inside their own half now...
    • 28' Ireland's touch lets him down. The City midfielder runs onto a pass and is coming in on goal on the angle, but a heavy first touch alllows Zaluska to gather.
    • 26' All square now, and it's a fair enough score. Mark Hughes won't be pleased with how easily his defence were surpassed for that goal.
    • 24' GOAL FOR CELTIC! Killen latches onto Samaras' ball and lashes past Given. Superb finish! The through ball from former City man Samaras was delightful, and it sat up nicely for Killen, who stroked a marvellous shot home.
    • 22' Given tips the ball over the bar as O'Dea loops a good header towards the top left corner of the goal from a delivery from the right.
    • 21' Samaras blocks a clearance and the ball almost breaks kindly for him, but Given can gather.
    • 18' Early sub for City, and Toure is taken off for Tal Ben Haim... He seemed to pull something playing a pass in the build-up to the goal. Crosas is back on for Celtic and looks fine.
    • 16' McCourt goes on a great jinking run but just can't find the final ball. Crosas is down injured, holding his right knee...
    • 15' GOAL FOR MAN CITY! Barry volleys home from 10 yards as he turns in Zabaleta's cross from the right. Great finish, and Zaluska can do nothing. Caddis left standing.
    • 11' De Jong and Barry get muddled, allowing Flood to nip in and pinch the ball. Mizuno is set free but over-runs the ball at the by-line, and City have the goal-kick.
    • 10' First corner to City as Mizuno defends well... SWP whips it in but Donati heads clear.
    • 8' Celtic have made a bright start, but City are holding possession well.

  2. City beat Celtic at home.....but I bet they'd lose away! They need tp sort out their away form if they ever want to stand a chance at breaking the top 4! Villa had a brilliant away form and still didn't manage it- so good luck City!!!!

  12. point 110, you've just proved my point.... your likes reduces everything to the gutter level and as a father of 2 I take great offence to your insinuation. I'm a football supporter but also a realist... I know my team is not going to win every game and that my teams greatest rivals will win more games than they lose. I can celebrate my teams victories without going down the road of slagging off everyone who does not share my point of view along the way. The english take great pleasure in telling anyone who'll listen that the EPL is the best league in the world and they can only justify this by slagging off the SPL and the rest of europe along the way. The EPL is at best mediocre, outwith the so called top 4 the rest of the league is garbage. Take away all the mercenary foreign imports and how many english players would actually pull in the crowds?

even though it was a freindly it should have been like man u against slough reserves city should be challenging for the league but i bet they struggle to get a uefa cup place at the end of the season and that for me tells yous are trying to buy success man u deserve every bit of success they get they were mediocre when sir alex took over and his football brain brought the best out of home grown talent lets see who city bring through the ranks i think none the manager will be sacked midway through season only time will tell 6 months of time

  20. i come on these pages from time to time to research for a book on football supporters and their lack of intelligence (and to have a laugh at the majority of the comments left) and it begs the question.... why is there no IQ test before you are allowed to log on to t'internet? you people talk utter @#$% and should not be allowed near a computer unsupervised.
