    • Orlando Pirates
    • Manchester City
    • 90 That's it! City lose 2-0 to the Orlando Pirates in what was an extremely impressive performance from the South Africans.
    • 89 Yellow card for Kanono after he slid in on Petrov.
    • 85 Off the post! The Pirates come so close to making it 3-0! Chiloane managed to wriggle his way through the City defence with a neat one-two and dinked the ball delicately past Taylor. so close!
    • 81 The frustration is clearly getting to the players with Nigel de Jong aiming a kick at one of the Pirates players.
    • 79 This is a combination of the Pirates playing extremely well always looking very comfortable on the ball and City playing poorly losing possesion far to easily and looking very cagey.
    • 77 City are pushing hard to half the deficit here but the Pirates are defending extremely well.
    • 73 The Pirates threaten again forcing Taylor to make a good save to his right. The ball was definately going into the top right corner.
    • 70 Mark Hughes is clearly looking edgy and has made a double substitution bringing on Caicedo and De Jong on for Bojinov and Ireland. Will they make the difference?
    • 67 Terrible back pass to Taylor by Ben-Haim who was quickly closed down and rushed his clearance which alsmost gifted the ball back to the Pirates. This really is a poor performance from City so far...
    • 64 Roque Santa Cruz is in the stands watching and he must be wishing he was out there trying to get City out of this situation!
    • 59 Orlando Pirates almost make it 3-0! A nice neat move from the South Africans fed in Mogale again but Taylor was quick off his line to parry the ball away...
    • 58 City will most certainly have to wake up now if they are to avoid an embarrasment! The Pirates look extremely comfortable while City look in trouble!
    • 55 Goal! Mogale scores for the Pirates!
    • 55 It's a very slow start to the second half and as i'm writing that the Pirates have made it 2-0 with an absolutely stunning strike! Mogale just saw Taylor off his line and from the left hand side of the 18 yard box he glided it over the head off the City goalkeeper.
    • 45 Manchester City line-up: Taylor, Zabaleta, Ben-Haim, Garrido, Weiss, Ireland, Mee, Johnson, Petrov, Bojinov, Benjani. Subs: Given, McGiven, de Jong, Caicedo, Barry, Viban, Wright-Phillips.
    • 45 The second half is underway with the Orlando Pirates making 4 changes while it looks like City have yet to use up any substitutions.
    • 45 Well that seemed like a quick first half didn't it? Hopefully we'll be able to bring you the second half in it's entirity, technical problems permitting that is!
    • 44 A Thwala penalty mid-way through the first half is what has put the Pirates ahead...
    • 40 Well we're finally up and running after the technical problems and it's currently 1-0 to the Orlando Pirates!
    • - Many apologies but there appears to be something wrong with the feed coming from South Africa broadcasting this game. It seems to be a technical problem affecting all broadcasters. We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause.
    • - The majority of you are all going for very big Manchester City wins. Daryl M says 3-1, Zuid is going for 7-0, Ewan 3-0, TR 4-2, batelw1962 3-0.
    • - While Manchester City might give debuts to their summer signings the Orlando Pirates latest recruit Gert Schalkwyk will unfortunately miss out due to an injury.
    • - Manchester United certainly found it to be an extremely tough test against a Malaysian XI earlier today. Will their local rivals come up against an equally or even tougher test against South Africa's Orlando Pirates? let us know!
  • Summary

    • 55 Goal! Mogale scores for the Pirates!
