90' The game is brought to a close. Arsenal have a second win of their pre-season campaign.
89' Henderson is taken off on the stretcher. Let's hope it's not too serious. Afobe is on in replace of the injured player.- 88' Henderson is down. The youngster puts in a tackle on Peszko but his foot gets stuck in the turf and his knee buckles. The stretcher is on. It doesn't look good.
- 87' Mohamed is replaced by Tomoaki Makino.
- 86' Peszko gives Djourou a run for his money on the edge of the penalty area but the Pole tries too much and falls over, giving possession straight to Arsenal.
- 85' RVP's corner is very poor and is cleared at the front post.
- 84' Rosicky and Vela link down the right. Rosicky overlaps and attempts to cross. he wins a corner.
- 83' Cologne have now made six substitutions. Roshi and Eichner are now on.
- 82' Vela gives the ball away and fouls his man in frustration. Not booked as it's a friendly.
- 81' Arshavin bares down on goal for the fourth time of this half but fails to convert again! Maybe he's left his shooting boots back home. Or back at the 09-10 season!!
- 80' Samir Nasi has pulle dup for Arsenal. It looks like his right ankle. The Frenchman is moving a little gingerely. That won't please Roberto Mancini.
- 79' Van Persie drops deep and links well with Arshavin. The Dutchman tries to feed his team mate but Geromel is across well to cut out the pass.
- 78' Arshavin bursts into the box from the left and is just about to pull the trigger before going down. He's claiming a penalty but Geromel takes the ball.
- 77' Van Persie tries a Bergkamp-esque trick on his way to goal. Remember the one against Newcastle? Yep, that's it. It doesn't quite come off though. Shame.
- 76' It's still a little scrappy. Both teams are losing possession relatively easily in the middle of the pitch.
- 75' Peszko produces a lovely backheel to release Jajalo. The winger cuts inside but takes too long to cross. It's cleared.
- 74' The game has lost some of it's fluency with all tese second half substitutions.
- 73' Arshavin is fouled by Pezzoni. The pint-sized Russian is down.
- 72' Fabianski is put under pressure after a poor pass from Squillaci. The Pole does well to clear.
- 71' Arshavin receives the ball on the left of the box and attempts to shoot first time. It's awful. Henderson is on for the Gunners, as too is Fabianski.
- 70' It looks like we're going to see Arsenal's third goalkeeper of the match. Fabianski is warming up on the sideline.
- 69' Arsenal take a short corner very quickly. Vela crosses from the right but it's too deep and flies out for a goal kick.
- 68' This is very, very entertaining. The game shifts to-and-fro and both teams look like they've got another couple of goals in them.
67' Podolski finds Novakovic yet again. The Slovenian latches onto a centre from the German and elects to shoot from 18 yards. It's straight at Mannone.- 66' Van Persie finds Gibbs with a pinpoint pass. The defender shifts inside and instead of crossing he shoots from a tight angle. It's fired straight at the keeper.
- 65' Rosicky goes from goal on the edge of the penalty area. The keeper flies across his goal to palm it away.
- 64' Köln make a number of changes. Geromel is replaced by Heitner. Lenig is replaced by Pezzoni and Chihi makes way for Peszko.
- 63' Vela is adjudged to be offside from the corner. He was being climbed all over too.
- 62' Lanig slices a clearance and puts the ball out for a corner. Pretty poor. Not as bad as Jenkinson's slice in the first hal though.
- 61' The home side are playing some very attractive, very positive football now. The game is end-to-end.
- 60' Chihi is sent down the left and cuts inside. Djourou comes across but is undone by some neat step-overs. The defender recovers well to get the block in.
- 59' Chance. Great ball played in from Podolski on the byline towards Novakovic but the striker is unable to get anything on it from six yards.
- 58' Frimpong is adjudged to have fouled Chihi. Both players know it wasn't a foul and have a laugh about it. Friendlies eh?
- 57' Sagna loses the ball in his own box and allos Jajalo to take control. He cuts inside and pulls the trigger but Djourou gets the block in.
- 56' Squillaci and Podolski clasg deep in the Arsenal half. The referee brings the game to a stop but the two players are still in each other's face. Handbags!!
- 55' Nasri's control lets him down and he loses the ball. The midfielder chases Riether and wins it back though. He looks very committed out there.
- 54' Fantastic work from the little Russian. Arshavn receives the ball from Frimpong and flicks the ball over Lanig's head before volleying across goal. Nobody can get on the end of it though. Shame.
53' Djourou is booked for a very late challenge on Jajalo.- 52' Podolski is sent down the left and attempts to cross for Novakovic but Mannone, who has replaced Szczesny, is down well to save.
- 51' Chance. Arshavin collects the ball on the edge of the box. Geromel follows the overlapping Rosicky which allows the Russian ti take his time before shooting at goal. It's straight at the keeper.
- 50' Arshavin and Van Persie link up well down the left. The two attempt a one-two into the box but Brecko is across again to cut out the ball.
- 49' Sagna has replaced the unfortunate Jenkinson for this second half. I highly doubt it was because of that bizarre own goal, it's just something Wenger has done throughout pre-season.
- 48' Arsenal continue to stroke the ball around the pitch with ease.

45+2' GOAL!! WOW. That is bizarre. Very tough on the youngster Jenkinson, who has had an excellent first half, as he puts into his own net. The defender, facing his own attempts to clear a long ball but ends up lobbing his own keeper. Incredibly finish.- 45+1' Walcott is the only man left up after the Köln corner. The striker receives the ball and shows a rapid turn of pace to break into the opponents half. The Englishman shoots from 18 yards but the shot flies over.
- 45' Szczesny is off his line very quickly to chest a dangerous long ball before volleying clear. Good, solid keeping!
- 44' Despite the comfortable scoreline, Wenger is in his technical area and is barking orders.
- 43' Novakovic is back on the pitch. He seems perfectly fine after that coming together with the Arsenal defender. Not surprising at all.
- 42' Novakovic is down. He appears to be hurt after a challenge with Vermaelen but there was nothing in it.
- 41' Chance. Great chance for the visitors. It should be 3-0. Walcott skips down the right and only has to square the ball towards the far post for Chamakh but the pass is too hard and it's a waste.

- 38' It's been very high-tempo stuff from the Gunners so far. Wenger will be impressed with this.
- 37' Gibbs gives away possession and allows Chihi to attack. The Moroccan plays a one-two before shooting from the edge of the area. Szczesny holds down to his right.
- 36' Wilshere bursts down the right flank and attempts to cross towards the back post but his right-footed cross is weak and is gathered.
- 35' Gibs overlaps down the left and receives the ball. The defender crosses for Miyaichi but Brecko is able to clear.
- 34' Ramsey finds some space on the edge of the area and takes a touch out of his feet before shooting. The shot has plenty behind it but is held comfortably by the keeper.
- 33' Ramsey's corner is poor. It is cleared at the front post but Arsenal regain possession.
- 32' Miyaichi gets in behind the defenders and latches onto a long ball. Breckoi comes across to clear.
- 31' Wilshere bares down on goal and is taken out on the edge of the area. He takes the free-kick himself but only finds the wall.
- 30' Gervinho is taken off and replaced by Miyaichi.
- 29' He's been very good so far, Jenkinson. He has an interesting past. He was born in Finland to an English father and a Finnish mother. He's played U-17's for England and Under-21's for Finland.
- 28' Chamakh gives the ball away very poorly. The hosts attack and play some intricate football on the edge of the box. Jenkinson comes across to win the ball and clear for a throw-in.
- 27' Koscielny meets Ramsays corner from 10 yards but the defender is unable to keep his header on target.
- 26' Another new signing, Jenkinson, skips down the righ and crosses towards Chamakh. Mohamed clears.
- 25' Song goes long in an attempt to put Walcott through. The ball is overhit and the keeper is off his line to collect.
- 24' Köln attack down the right through Chihi. Chamakh sprints back to help out his team and drags the Köln man down. He would have been booked had this game been competitive.
- 23' Great effort from Walcott. The winger cuts in down the right and attempts to chip the advancing goalkeeper. Wilshere charges in to make sure but Mohamed is on hand to acrobatically clear.
- 22' Smart play from the Germans. Arsenal are caught short at the back and the home side play the ball around on the edge of the area. Chihi attempts a shot but it is blocked.
- 21' Andrezinho surges out of his own half and down the right into Arsenals. The Gunners are on him quickly and pressure him into playing the ball into touch.
- 20' Gervinho wins the ball in the Köln half and drives forward. He attempts to pass out wide for Ramsey but the pass is poor and the attack is stifled.
- 19' Vermaelen climbs on top of Novakovic and concedes a free kick. The Belgian is not happy with the decision.
- 18' Varvodic replaces the injured Rensing.
- 17' Rensing was injured attempting to stop Gervinho's shot and needs to go off.
- 16' GOAL!! Gervinho again. Great goal. Wilshere sprays it out to Walcott who races through before squaring to the striker. He taps it in from 6 yards.
- 15' Oooh. Vermaelen nearly scores from open play. The defender wins the ball deep in the Köln half and plays a one-two with Gervinho. The defender nearly gets on the return but it is put out for a corner.
- 14' Koscielny is penalised for a push in the box from the free-kick.
- 13' Arsenal build up well. The North-Londoners enter the Köln half but Wilshere is fouled.
- 12' Gervinho is through again. Walcott plays him in and he bares down on goal. He attempts to round the keeper but the whistle sounds. He is offside.
- 11' It's been a pretty entertaining startt so far. Ramsey pulls up, he's hobblling a little.
- 10' Jenkinson and Wilshere do well down the left but lose possession. The German's attack and nearly score. Podolski bursts into the box but pulls his left footed shot wide.
- 9' There was a great understanding between the two players then - like they'd been playing together for a number of year, not a number of days. Promising start for Arsenal.
- 8' GOAL!! Gervinho scores his first goal for Arsenal. The striker runs in behind the centre-halves and latches on to Wilshere's pass. The Ivorian's first touch sends the ball over the keeper.
- 7' Podolski cuts in from the left and advances on goal. The German attempts to square for Novakovic but Vermaelen comes across to block.
- 6' Gervinho gets his first real touch as an Arsenal player. He does well on the left, skipping past one challenge before feeding Wilshere. The visitors stroke the ball around on the edge of the area.
- 5' Novakoic's free kick is hit well. He opts to try for the far corner, which is where Szczesny is standing, but it flies over.
- 4' Free kick. Coul've been a penalty. Podolski shows his class as he surges into the box and is fouled by Song. Just outside.
- 3' Wilshere is left in a heap after Andrezinho clatters into him. The Arsenal player is awarded a free kick.
- 2' With 21 days to go until the opening Premier League fixture, we shall see how Arsenal are coming along against a tough Köln team.

People seem to have disregarded that Cologne are a very weak side in what is a comparitvely weak German league. The premier league is a different kettle of fish to this and Gervinho will be rewarded with a few clumps for every bit of trouble caused to PL defenders. Will he handle that, I'm not sure.
SUPERMAN
It is like a dream debut from Gervinho scoring two goals created by passes from Wilshere , that is a good omen for the start of the Premiership, it seems they have a good understanding of each others movement or else Gervinho is a very intelligent mover without the ball.......not like some English players who do stereotype moves each game so anybody watching will read the move and block it.
So Wenger at least can say there is money well spent , and may he continue to surprise others while playing for Arsenal.................maybe one or two extra signings could spur-on the Arsenal team to great things, can Arshavin spark this season ,can Chamakh share the attacking role with Van Persie , can Wenger sort out the centre-back pairings, who can be the Arsenal Leader for once?Great win for Arsenal and Gervinho is an instant hit among us as an Arsenal fan.Arsenal for life and Arsenal till I die.

Chamakh needs to pull his weight or shipped out because he is getting worse.Sagna still needs lessons in crossing and we need one of our Arsenal ladies Rachel Yankey to put him through that.i hope squallaci make big mistake so wenger are under pressure to replace him..i pray to god just please let him go...he lost his confidence...he never assurance again...he is under pressure to give his best to a top team like arsenal..he never going to be better again....just go for your own sake...and yes for arsenal team...with the money from fabregas lets get Giorgio Chiellini from juventus..he can play left back or central defender..22millions for him is worth it...italian defender is the best..
Is about time the arsenal boards buy's a defender for Arsenal themselves, if Mr Wenger has forgotten how a defender should defend. We the fans deserve's to be saved from our 6 years of misery please..

First half was very good,but second?In the midfield we created bulshit,especialy Arshavin and Rosicky are very slow!We need top class defender !!!
Gibbs needs to play midfield, Arshavin and Chamakh need to pull thier socks up. Frimpong looks good in midfield
