90' FULL TIME. Arsenal win 2-1, never in doubt. Some positives for Arsene Wenger to take from this game ahead of their clash with Man City in Beijing on Friday - but those missed chances will concern him.
89' GOAL! Arsenal have the lead through Aneke! Huge slice of luck for Arsenal as Aneke's low shot from the edge of the box takes a huge deflection and goes in for Arsenal's second.
84' GOAL! Eisfeld scores for Arsenal! It's classic Arsenal as Song picks out Walcott with a sweeping ball forward to Walcott, who cuts the ball back to Eisfeld to finish from close-range.
80' A long ball is chested down by Afobe, but he fires over. Should have kept that on target but intelligent running to find the shooting position by the striker.
79' Arsenal sub: Eisfeld ON, Walcott OFF.
68' Malaysia sub: Zambri ON, Talaha OFF
67' Malaysia sub: Ahmad ON, Subramaniam OFF.
65' Big miss by Afobe! The striker is put clean through but strikes a tame effort straight at the goalkeeper. Arsenal should at least be level by now, that was a big miss.
63' Sali has been stretchered off. We'll have to see how serious the problem is, he'd be missed if he had to be replaced.
58' Right on cue as Malaysia open Arsenal up again. Sali gets behind the Arsenal defence and shifts the ball onto his right foot, but Mannone saves with his legs.
55' Arsenal hit the post! The Gunners win a free-kick in a good position on the left and it's quickly taken to release Afobe. The youngster puts the ball onto his right foot and strikes the base of the near post. Unlucky.
53' Arsenal team in the second half: Mannone, Yennaris, Bartley, Miquel, Song, Aneke, Eastmond, Ryo, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott and Afobe.
51' Robbat goes for goal from 30 yards and it's not a bad effort. The ball was arrowed towards the top corner but just drifts away, with Mannone scrambling.
46' SECOND HALF. Arsenal get the second period underway.
45' HALF TIME. That wonder strike from Azmi Muslim is the last action of the half - but what a way to sign off a very entertaining 45 minutes. Malaysia lead Arsenal 1-0 at the break.
45' GOAL! Malaysia have the lead! It's an absolute firecracker by Azmi Muslim. Driving forward down the left, he lets fly from all of 25 yards and the ball nestles neatly in the top corner. Fantastic strike.
41' Chance for Malaysia! A chance at the other end as Sali finds space down the left and tries to beat Mannone at the near post. But the keeper pulls off a very good save low to his right.
39' Huge miss by Santos! The Brazilian intercepts a terrible back pass - but can't beat the goalkeeper from 12 yards. Santos should have two goals to his name now.
36' Double Malaysia sub: Samah & Robbat ON, Akil & Shaari OFF
34' Mannone is forced into action at the other end. The keeper throws himself to the left side of his goal to deny Md Akil, whose snapshot from the edge of the box was heading into the top corner.
31' Big miss by Santos for Arsenal! Nice build-up again, but Santos fires wide when he should have slotted in.
23' Chance for Malaysia! Safiq Rahim goes direct for goal with the free-kick from 25 yards and it almost squeezes in... but Mannone scrambles across to turn it around it right post.
20' Chance for Arsenal! Arteta's corner finds Chamakh attacking the ball at the near post, but Razali just about does enough to keep the ball out. Good by Arsenal, who have another corner.
17' Play stops for a moment as Diaby receives treatment.
8' Chance for Arsenal as Chamakh rolls off the last defender to find a shooting position. He takes the shot early, but his volley is turned around the post by Razali.
6' MALAYSIA ALL-STARS line-up: Razali, Abdul Radzak, Azmi Muslim, Idlan Talaha, Mohd Sali, Shakir Shaari, Kunanlan, Md Akil, Umar, Safiq Rahim, Putra Omar. Arsenal should sign Safee Salleh to partner podolski/girould,he's certainly the best player of the match ...disappointing Arsenal!!!
To succeed, Arsenal needs a finisher as Van Persie is on his way out
RVP must be said after watched this match "damm.. Do they need me to score the goal more eventhough just again malaysia??".. Hehehe... Hopefully the new introduction of lucas podolski and giroud can replace scorin machine RVP.. But i'm hoping he can stay for a another season... Please...
Arsenal u should sign Safee Sali too play with Podolski.Really !!!
@mike you can take of "another" this is our first bit of Luck since a while. Only the second goal was a little lucky and still we were more unlucky than lucky
YES arsenal need a luck to win. that's all.
Nico Yennaris is a top player at right back and even better in midfield and he bleeds Arsenal..This guy has the potential to be the best right back Arsenal has ever produced. I'm afraid Sagna might find it hard to win his place back if this guy gets at least 10 games under his belt in that position.
another lucky win by the arsenal
that is great for us
Another RVP for tomorrow are Aneke and Eisfeld groom them.
congratulation to all players and the manager muzee Wenger for the tonight win over Malaysia .lets put more effort , it's likely to hold the trophy this season.
Nice win congratulation Arsenal nice game at the end by the Gunners
Does it really matter how we play in these games? Most of the players in team will be loaned out before or during this coming season.Lets wait until league seaon starts before rubbishing them.
Winning !!!
