Calm down, folks. 6 first choice players missing from­ the starting XI; 6 substitutions; nothing competitive­ at stake apart from 'pride'. If we'd won,­ it wouldn't suddenly make us the best team in­ Europe and losing doesn't make us the worst. If­ Jagielka, Agbonlahor, Cole, Upson and Green emerge from­ the exercise better equipped to perform at­ international level if/when called upon in future, then­ it's a success. Who's going to look back on­ Capello's time in charge and say "oh, but he­ lost that meaningless friendly in Spain at the start of­ 2009". Qualification, then South Africa is what­ matters. Judge him and the players on that.
