    • Netherlands
    • 90+5' There's the final whistle, and the Netherlands take a deserved victory after a truly crazy finish! Great entertainment, though.
    • 90+4' Now Van Bommel drives a shot wide, and we are in the final minute of stoppage time.
    • 90+3' What a brilliant finale! Now Milner crosses deep for Young who heads back in front of goal... nobody arriving.
    • 90+2' GOAL!! ROBBEN WINS IT FOR THE NETHERLANDS!! Ridiculous! England fail to clear Emanuelson's cross and Van Bommel finds Robben who sidesteps Leighton Baines and beats Hart with a deflected shot!
    • 90+1' GOAL!! ENGLAND ARE LEVEL! Amazing! Phil Jones finds Ashley Young with a great through ball, and Young chips the ball coolly over the body of Stekelenburg! Where did that come from?
    • 90' The Netherlands are back in numbers now as they look to run down the clock. Expect plenty of stoppage time.
    • 88' Off goes a limping Daniel Sturridge, and he is replaced by Theo Walcott. That's two subs who have been substituted tonight - Sturridge and Huntelaar.
    • 87' Dirk Kuyt blasts a low shot from 25 yards - Hart parries.
    • 86' Anti-climax my foot. Wembley finds its voice again as England pour forward in search of an unlikely equaliser.
    • 85' GOAL! Gary Cahill for England! No idea what the defender is doing so far upfield, and he's offside as the pass is played to him, but the flag stays down and he drills a low shot past Stekelenburg!
    • 84' It's all winding down to a rather anti-climactic finish, as the pace slows.
    • 82' Dutch change: Ron Vlaar on for Khalid Boulahrouz.
    • 81' Milner's cross is cleared, and the Netherlands look a danger on the break every time they come forward now.
    • 80' Here's that change - Fraizer Campbell comes on for Danny Welbeck.
    • 79' Parker trips over the ball and gifts possession to Arjen Robben - yikes! England eventually cover but that's an uncomfortable moment for the skipper.
    • 78' Fraizer Campbell is about to come on for his England debut.
    • 77' Dutch change: Urby Emmanuelson comes on for the disappointing Wesley Sneijder.
    • 76' Stekelenburg races out to clear as Sturridge chases a through ball.
    • 75' Robben cuts inside from the right and gets a shot away... loops in the air off a defender and Hart collects it.
    • 74' Rash challenge from Mathijsen, and that's the second booking of the game.
    • 73' What a miss by Sturridge! Baines fires low across goal but the Chelsea man somehow sidefoots straight at Stekelenburg when the finish looked a formality.
    • 72' Sturridge races down the right, but Schaars stays strong and holds the England man off - he wins a goal-kick.
    • 70' Welbeck races clear for England through the middle, but he misplaces his pass intended for Ashley Young.
    • 69' Robben jinks brilliantly outside Jones but his shot is deflected behind by Richards.
    • 67' Phil Jones has slotted into the right-back position, with Micah Richards going into the middle. Interesting,
    • 66' Luuk De Jong is the Dutch substitute on for Huntelaar.
    • 65' Downing!! He meets Milner's cross on the volley and fires wide of the right-hand post!
    • 64' Stewart Downing has come on for Adam Johnson.
    • 64' OK, we're back under way, and Smalling is not the only England man feeling dazed. The home side trail by two goals to nil.
    • 63' Smalling has been placed onto a stretcher and is being carried off. He's conscious but obviously in a bad way. Jones to replace him.
    • 61' Phil Jones is getting ready to come on. Huntelaard is back on his feet but he looks like he might have a broken nose. Smalling is talking to the physio but there is an obvious risk of concussion and I'm sure he will come off.
    • 60' Well, what a turnaround in this game! England were shading it, but they have been taught a lesson in incisiveness. That's why the Dutch are so dangerous.
    • 59' There was a big clash of heads between Huntelaar and Smalling there, and both players have stayed down. Huntelaar has a mouthful of grass and blood but basically looks OK. Smalling seems very groggy.
    • 58' GOAL!! It's two!! Klaas Jan Huntelaar with a brave header from Kuyt's right-sided cross! The Netherlands have blitzed England here!
    • 58' There was a good decoy run by Huntelaar, but it really is criminal to let a man run 60 yards through the centre of the pitch without attempting to tackle him.
    • 57' GOAL!! It's Arjen Robben, and you have to say that's brilliant! He picks the ball up in his own half, races forward, there is no challenge forthcoming and he smashes the ball into the bottom right corner.
    • 55' England appear to have justb gone into their sheel a bit since half-time. They need to keep the energy up or they risk being overrun.
    • 54' Huntelaar drives a shot from 25 yards - it flashes wide of the left-hand post. Decent effort from the sub.
    • 52' It is strange, is it not, that England look more comfortable in possession under Stuart Pearce than Fabio Capello. Funny old game, etc.
    • 51' Mind you, the incessant drone of The Great Escape is never far away. Ho hum...
    • 50' Five minutes into the second half and still no Mexican wave - that's got to be a positive sign, hasn't it?
    • 48' England win a corner on the right, and up marches Gary Cahill... it comes to Sturridge at the edge of the box who works the ball excellently into half a yard of space and fires a low shot that Stekelenburg saves well!
    • 47' Yellow card Micah Richards for a foul on Robben. Bad tackle.
    • 46' The second half is under way.
    • 46' And some breaking news for you: Sheffield Wednesday have sacked manager Gary Megson!
    • 46' Half-time substitutions: James Milner on for Gareth Barry for England. For Holland, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Stijn Schaars on for obin van Persie and Erik Pieters.
    • 45' And there is the half-time whistle, right on cue. An encouraging half for England.
    • 45' There will be no stoppage time at all at the end of the first half.
    • 43' Johnson crosses right-footed from the left.. Young heads over from 10 yards.
    • 42' Young plays it into the box where Richards and Smalling both attack the ball but cannot reach it.
    • 41' Genius challenge by De Jong, propelling Parker into Kuyt. Beautiful cynicism from the two Dutch destroyers.
    • 39' Johnson hits a deep corner, headed back across goal by Barry and the Dutch finally scramble it clear. But they don't look comfortable defending set pieces.
    • 38' England have made a positive impression so far, and are currently knocking the ball around with some assurance. They look vaguely like a decent international team.
    • 37' Van Persie balloons a shot over the bar at the end of a lovely Dutch move - Robben tees up the Arsenal skipper who makes a mess of the finish.
    • 35' Great start from Sturridge, who makes a driving run down the right and crosses low... cleared by Boulahrouz, but that was very good from the sub.
    • 35' Sturridge has dropped into Young's place on the wing, while Young is in the central 'Gerrard' position.
    • 34' Gerrard did not seem to be particularly troubled, so Liverpool fans will hope this is a precaution - he has disappeared straight down the tunnel. Not the first time he has been injured playing for England.
    • 33' An early change for England, and it's an injury to Steven Gerrard! He is replaced by Daniel Sturridge.
    • 32' The free-kick is played short and comes to nothing - then Robben brings Johnson down as England bring the ball away.
    • 31' Smalling brings down Van Persie some 40 yards out. Sneijder likes a long shot, but this is surely out of his range.
    • 29' There are a host of international friendlies going on at the moment - you can follow live comments of all the cmoe nations, plus the night's other big games with us. International friendlies: LIVE
    • 28' Good move by England. Richards and Johnson combine well down the left, Young and Richards go down in search of penalties and Barry has a shot blocked. It comes to nothing, but that was decent stuff.
    • 26' Great work by Johnson who turns Mathijsen this way and that, then his shot deflects wide off Heitinga.
    • 25' A poor Kuyt backpass nearly lets Welbeck in, but Stekelenburg dashes off his line to clear. Good goalkeeping.
    • 24' Following that foul, my Twitter timeline was flooded with 'typical Van Bommel' comments. That's why I love him - we all know what he's going to do and he STILL gets away with it.
    • 22' Johnson sprints through the centre, but Mathijsen nicks the ball away from him before he can unleash a shot.
    • 21' Ah, there's Mark van Bommel. Classic intelligent/cynical challenge, bringing down Richards who was sprinting away from him.
    • 20' Most of the good football so far has come from the Dutch, though I've been less than impressed by the full-backs Boulahrouz and Pieters.
    • 19' Van Persie cuts inside from the left and tries to get his shot away - Parker with another block. Typically wholehearted stuff from the skipper.
    • 18' Typical Gerrard - tries a killer ball to Young that needs to be absolutely perfect, but he cannot quite squeeze it in. Stevie G needs to dial down the degree of difficulty. Yes, that's the third use of this comment in under 20 minutes.
    • 17' More tenacious work from Parker, who is sitting deeper than Barry in England's midfield three.
    • 15' Robben cuts inside from the left and runs at Richards. He doesn't have many options, so he smacks a shot at goal and Hart parries relatively comfortably.
    • 14' Great captaincy etc. Parker flings himself at a powerful Sneijder shot to charge it down.
    • 13' Good spell of possession for the Dutch, which is starting to annoy the home fans.
    • 12' Boulahrouz wastes a good opportunity down the right for Holland, as he clunks a pass intended for Kuyt out for a goal kick.
    • 10' Robben finds the overlapping left-back Pieters, but it's not a great cross from the PSV Eindhoven man.
    • 9' A shouted instruction from Pearce is caught at full volume by the TV mics. There are no swears, but they're taking a bit of a risk, aren't they?
    • 8' Typical Gerrard - tries a killer ball to Johnson that needs to be absolutely perfect, but he cannot quite squeeze it in. Stevie G needs to dial down the degree of difficulty. I'm going to recycle this comment as many times as necessary tonight.
    • 7' Gerrard swings a corner in from the England left for CAHILL!! He arrives at the near post and glances his header just over!
    • 6' Robben intercepts inside his own box and fairly pings a backpass that Stekelenburg only just gets to! That would have been embarrassing...
    • 5' Typical Gerrard - tries a killer ball to Richards that needs to be absolutely perfect, but he cannot quite squeeze it in. Stevie G needs to dial down the degree of difficulty.
    • 4' Decent interplay from the Dutch - Robben to Van Persie, who nearly finds Kuyt but Smalling puts the ball out for a corner.
    • 4' A tackle by Scott Parker brings tremendous applause from the fans. he's a popular man...
    • 3' It's all Manchester City down the right, with Adam Johnson in front of Micah Richards.
    • 2' Leighton Baines crosses from the left and it nearly dips in over Stekelenburg - but it lands on top of the goal.
    • 2' Welbeck attempts to charge down Stekelenburg and it actually works - the hurried Dutch keeper puts the ball out for a throw.
    • 1' Game on! Holland, playing all in black, kick off. England are in their smart new all-white get-up with red trim.
    • 19:58 The Dutch anthem is shown a decent amount of respect by the Wembley crowd. Not always the case, of course, but the Dutch are held in general affection despite the best efforts of Messrs Koeman, De Jong and Van Bommel. Quite a few empty seats still around Wembley.
    • 19:55 Referee: Felix Brych (Germany)
    • 19:50 Remember, you can contact our on-site lads on Twitter: @Tony_Mabert and @TomEurosport.
    • 19:45 After going unbeaten in 14 games following the 2010 World Cup final, Netherlands have lost two of their last three games, drawing the other.
    • 19:40 FACTS: The Three Lions have lost just one of their last 14 games (including friendlies), winning nine and drawing four; At home, England have suffered just one defeat in their last 21 games (including friendlies).
    • 19:35 FACTS: This is Netherlands' first game at Wembley since the 4-1 defeat to England in Euro 1995; England have won only one of their last 11 encounters with Netherlands (that game in 1996). Current England boss Stuart Pearce was in the England starting XI the last time they faced Netherlands at Wembley.
    • 19:30 FACTS: The last four meetings between England and Netherlands (all friendlies) have ended as draws.
    • 19:25 Four of the Dutch team play in England (Van Persie, Kuyt, De Jong, Heitinga); Robben and Boulahrouz have played in England for Chelsea; Sneijder would probably like to play in England... Rafael van der Vaart is out due to injury, by the way, while new boys Ola John (brother of ex-Fulham forward Collins John) and Luciano Narsingh must wait for a call from the bench.
    • 19:20 Netherlands team: Stekelenburg, Boulahrouz, Heitinga, Mathijsen, Pieters, Van Bommel, N De Jong, Kuyt, Robben, Sneijder, Van Persie
    • 19:15 Well that explains his line-up then. His Dutch counterpart Bert van Marwijk, meanwhile, is trying to get two of his top players - Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder - back in form: "Fortunately form is something that comes back. Maybe Arjen wants to be happy and that also goes for Wesley. They should get back to basics, that will be for the best."
    • 19:10 Stuart Pearce is normally England's U21 coach but, of course, he leads the senior side tonight as the FA work out who they want in charge for the Euros. Pearce said: "We are in the home-run for the European Championships in the summer, we just have to find out about one or two individuals who have been around the camp. The chance to play against one of the favourites in the competition, at a full-house, is a fantastic opportunity and that is how we all see it."
    • 19:05 In the meantime, England are leading Belgium 2-0 in their Euro U21 qualifier - you can follow that here. U21 ACTION LIVE
    • 19:00 Ok, the pre-match proper starts here. Collymore's England XI was accurate, Netherlands to follow....
    • 17:25 Seeing as we have two men at Wembley tonight, I will direct you to their Twitter accounts for chat about tonight: @tony_mabert and @tomEurosport
    • 17:20 We also have a reported England XI, courtesy of Talksport's @StanCollymore, who is usually reliable enough: Hart, Richards, Smalling, Cahill, Baines, Parker, Barry, A Johnson, Young, Gerarrd, Wellbeck
    • 17:15 We're starting a bit earlier than usual because, obviously, we know something about tonight's teams: Scott Parker is England captain as Stuart Pearce takes charge of the national team. Both Parker and Pearce's status could be temporary or permanent - given the confused messages coming from the FA regarding the England manager's job, it's hard to know which. MORE ON PARKER AS SKIPPER.
