    Roy Hodgson made a winning start as England manager courtesy of a classy Ashley Young finish in a 1-0 friendly win over Norway in Oslo. More

Okay so England won, not a great performance by any­ stretch of the imagination, but then not the team Roy­ would have fielded if he hadn't rested the Chelsea­ contingent or had he had Rooney available for the­ opening games. No way is Theo Walcott up to the task­ nor Downing, still think there is something strange in­ his continous selection under so many England Managers.­ Jones struggled, the passing wasn't much better­ than non league pub football at times and yes I too­ switched across and back to the Eurovision Song­ Contest....thats another gripe!
