I'd say four weeks later or so because some seasons haven't even started, players they've come from pre-season, played a couple of club friendlies and now they're playing international games."
- 19.30 Scotland coach Craig Levein on the issue of picking players from the Scottish Third Division: "What happened is that some people chose to take half a quote and use that. It is fairly straightforward. What I said when I announced the squad is that it will be more difficult for the Rangers players to get into the international team because the standard in the Third Division isn't akin to international football."
- 19.20 Veteran duo Harry Kewell and Tim Cahill will not be involved in the match - ex-Liverpool man Kewell has been given the match off as he looks to sort out his club future, while Cahill has recently joined New York Red Bulls.
- 19.15 Socceroos coach Holger Osieck has named a 20-man squad for the match at Easter Road. A number of English-based players past-and-present and likely to start including Mark Schwarzer, Lucas Neill and Brett Holman.
- 19.10 Allan McGregor is likely to take his place in goal with a number of Premier League players set to play in front of him including Gary Caldwell and Alan Hutton. Levein could opt for a five-man midfield with Huddersfield’s Jordan Rhodes given an opportunity to lead the line.

Is this really Scotland fans booing a scotsman that has earned his place in the team not just because Levin picked him, because he merited it. Once again we see the mindless chewheids that castigate someone because of what club he plays for.
