    Time:90'
    • Sevilla FC
    • RCD Espanyol
    • 90+6' The final whistle goes, and an enthralling 0-0 comes to a close.
    • 90+5' Chevanton tries to beat Kameni from all of 40 yards... what a waste.
    • 90+5' De la Pena trips Zokora in midfield. One last chance for Sevilla...
    • 90+4' Kameni gets a booking now for time wasting at his goal kick.
    • 90+3' Kone bundles his way into the area but has his shot blocked... the referee gives a goal kick! He must have thought the ball rebounded off Kone, but that's questionable.
    • 90+2' Jesus Navas has taken a pounding tonight - this time it's Luis Garcia who gets booked for a foul on him.
    • 90+1' Espanyol break forward and have space. De la Pena sets up Callejon... FIRED WIDE OF THE FAR POST!! What a chance for Espanyol to nick all three points!
    • 90' Chevanton shoots from a free-kick for Sevilla. It hits a team-mate in the wall and Espanyol can breath for a moment.
    • 88' Manolo Jimenez is gesticulating wildly on the touchline. He's thrown on all the attacking players at his disposal, there's nothing more he can do to force this win.
    • 86' Renato gets on the end of Capel's cross, but the header is right at Kameni who catches it.
    • 85' Ivan Alonso is replaced by former Chelsea striker Ben Sahar.
    • 84' Another Sevilla corner, and Squillaci is on the back foot as he heads over.
    • 82' Capel gets in on the act of fouling as he sends Ivan Alonso tumbling in midfield.
    • 81' Chevanton mis-hits his free-kick, but it comes back for CAPEL... Blasted over the bar! Capel was off balance as he struck.
    • 80' Another Diego Capel induced booking, this time it's Pillud who brings him down on the wing.
    • 79' Sevilla take off defender Escude for the attacking Chevanton, the Uruguayan bulldog.
    • 77' Renato tees himself up for a strike from outside the box, but his shot is charged down. This will be a great effort from Espanyol if they can return to Catalonia with a point now.
    • 75' Escude goes into the referee's book. There are a few defenders out there who need to watch their step now.
    • 72' Another cynical foul on Jesus Navas, but the linesman tells the referee this one was a dive. Not sure about that, although he does like a bit of simulation to be fair.
    • 72' This time Escude meets the corner at the back post and it drops JUSt wide of the target! Sevilla are getting closer...
    • 71' The impressive Perotti is replaced by Kone for Sevilla. David Garcia risked a second yellow by fouling Navas again, but Sevilla have a free-kick which leads to a corner.
    • 70' Now Capel is bearing down on Kameni and HE MUST SCORE... Kameni spreads himself well and Capel shoots right at him! Capel could have gone round the keeper, but chose to shoot early.
    • 69' A third Sevilla corner is quick succession is flapped at by Kameni, but the header from the second ball as right into his arms.
    • 68' Capel finds Perotti out wide nad Sevilla have another corner. Luis Garcia outs it behind for yet another. Perotti gets it back from the short corner and KAMENI SAVES KONKO'S HEADER!
    • 65' Espanyol have handled Sevilla set pieces rather well this evening, and they repel another free-kick from Renato.
    • 63' Espanyol boss Mauricio Pochettino sacrficies Verdu in order to bring on Roncaglia to fill the gap left by Pareja.
    • 62' Capel bursts into the box from the left and is brought down... surely a penalty! No! The flag was already up for offside! A real let-off for Espanyol there.
    • 61' Well, an instant impact from Diego Capel there. The young winger's contract is up at the end of the season, so he'll be well aware of veing in the shop window.
    • 59' Capel first act of the game is to be chopped down by Pareja! The referee shows Nico Pareja his second yellow card and a red to go with it! Espanyol have half an hour to repel Sevilla with a man down!
    • 59' An attacking change for Sevilla here, as Diego Capel replaces Aldo Duscher.
    • 58' Negredo is caught offisde yet again.
    • 56' Sevilla are still enjoying most of the possession, but they are now struggling to pick apart Espanyol as they were in the first half.
    • 53' David Garcia has gone into the book for a foul on Jesus Navas. He now has over half an hour of marking the livewire winger while treading on egg shells.
    • 52' Shunsuke Nakamura is the man to be replaced by Ivan de la Pena. Can the veteran playmaker create an opener for Espanyol?
    • 51' Negredo is one-on-one with Kameni but stabs his shot wide, but the flag was up for offside anyway.
    • 48' Perotti tries a cross at the byline by wrapping behind the other - ie a 'rabona' as it's called in Spain... It goes out for a goal kick.
    • 47' Espanyol clear it at the second attempt, but Zokora keeps the ball moving for Sevilla.
    • 46' Sevilla don't mess around, and Fernando Navarro wins a corner.
    • 46' The second half has kicked off.
    • 45+1' Perotti's run sees the ball go out for a goal kick, and that's the end of the half.
    • 45' Just one minute of added time to be played at the end of a hectic half.
    • 43' Ivan de la Pena is jogging up and down the touchline. He could be the key to unlocking Sevilla in the second half.
    • 42' Duscher brings the ball up through the midfield, but then plays it out to a big gap where Jesus Navas should have been.
    • 40' Negredo is very harshly called up for a foul there. He was basically penalised for being stronger than the other guy.
    • 39' Konko sends a ball down the wing for Jesus Navas, but David Garcia comes across to head clear. Espanyol are now doubling up on the Sevilla winger, with Luis Garcia also tracking back to cover him.
    • 37' One of the best things about Sevilla is that their goals come from all over the place. Far from being over-reliant on Kanoute and Luis Fabiano, eight different players have scored for them in La Liga already this season.
    • 35' Renato tries a little dink towards Duscher in the box but it doesn't come off.
    • 32' The tempo of this match has finally begun to relent a little. Just a little mind. This is the longest spell without any chances so far.
    • 29' Here's a quick reminder of what happened earlier in Real Madrid's match at Sporting Gijon... Real Madrid's match at Sporting Gijon
    • 26' Over a quarter of the game gone now, but the tempo is still very high from both sides. Sevilla have looked the most likely to score thus far.
    • 25' Perotti's corner is headed right back to him, and this time he curls it across with the outside of his boot, but to no avail.
    • 21' A huge round of applause goes round the ground on the 21st minute in tribute to the late Espanyol captain Dani Jarque, who wore the number 21. A similar ovation happened on the 16th minute for Antonio Puerta. Touching stuff.
    • 20' This time it will be Jesus Navas to take it, and he strikes low and through the wall, but Kameni sees it all the way.
    • 19' Niko Pareja gets the game's first booking for a careless foul on Jesus Navas. His boot was simply too high.
    • 18' Kameni reacts well to come off his line a tip away a cross before it's met by Negredo.
    • 17' Sevilla win a free-kick in a central area when Jesus Navas wanted the advantage played. Renato sprays the dead baal out to Negredo, and the striker's header is caught by Kameni.
    • 15' Callejon takes a knock to the ankle and stays down. He goes off and has a bit of magic spray, and should be ok.
    • 13' Jesus Navas motors down the right again and squares a ball along the edge of the six-yard box for RENATO... The Brazilian misses it completely but the ball rebounds off of Forlin and almost creeps past Kameni! The goalkeeper just manages to dive on to the ball in time.
    • 11' Luis Garcia fires a low ball to the nearpost for Nakamura, who gets a touch and it flicks up and hits Escude on the hand! Nakamura wants a penalty, but the referee is quite rightly not convinced.
    • 10' The Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan is in full voice this evening. This really is one of the most imposing grounds to visit in La Liga.
    • 8' Perotti plays it square to Navas, who strikes as the ball goes across his body and it's swiped into the crowd.
    • 7' Espanyol have plenty forward, but the attack breaks down and Sevilla can break. Renato finds Navas, who has a shot blocked and it goes out for a throw.
    • 6' Espanyol clear the corner but Sevilla retain possession. A breathless start to this match!
    • 5' Kameni makes a poor clearnace that falls right to Jesus Navas who SHOOTS... Kameni does brilliantly to run back and tip the ball over the bar!
    • 4' Jesus Navas has pace to burn as he knocks the ball past David Garcia and runs past him. Navas slips over as he tries to deliver the cross, but he still ends up winning a corner.
    • 3' First chance goes to Espanyol! Luis Garcia's low strike is saved by the feet of Javi Varas!
    • 2' Zokora hares back to snuff out a nascent Espanyol attack.
    • 1' Sevilla kick off and we're underway!
    • 21:00 The teams are out on the field now, we're almost ready for kick off...
    • 20:59 Espanyol have made what is possibly the longest trip in La Liga for this match. Their main threat will possibly come from Luis Garcia and Ivan Alonso.
    • 20:57 No Fredi Kanoute or Luis Fabiano for Sevilla, but they do still have Alvaro Negredo, Renato and Jesus Navas.
    • 20:57 Third-placed Sevilla can keep in touch with the top two in La Liga with a win over Espanyol at the Sanchez Pizjuan. La Liga table

  12. Sevilla have brought themselves back against stuttgart. They played well and showed what they are made of. They have already forgot the loss to Deportivo who are pretty strong this season and will try to win this as comfortable as they can. Espanyol is playing well but Sevilla on home ground this season is still unbeaten. 3-1
