    • 90+2' The final whistle goes, and it's a win for Los Che that sends them up into the top four!
    • 90' Two extra minutes are signalled by the fourth official.
    • 88' Valencia will end the weekend in fourth place after this win. Their next five matches in La Liga are against Malaga, Zaragoza, Osasuna, Mallorca and Athletic Bilbao, before they host Real Madrid on Dec 13. By then they could be Real's title rivals.
    • 87' GOLGOLGOLGOLGOLGOL!! Juan Mata gets his goal to make it 3-0! The young winger is given all the space he needs to set himself up for a strike from 20 yards out, and he drills it right into the bottom corner giving Esteban no chance!
    • 84' Baraja threads a ball through the centre for Pablo, but he can't out-pace his marker.
    • 83' Uche clatters into Baraja in midfield. He doesn't seem to think he's done anything wrong.
    • 82' One Valencia veteran replaces another as Ruben Baraja comes on in place of David Albelda.
    • 81' A ball comes over the top to Uche on the right who STRIKES.. He connected well but fires wide.
    • 80' If Valencia are going to rescind their lead, it looks as though they'll sabotage it themsleves. Navarro tries to hack the ball clear but it slices it high into the air, but Valencia survive.
    • 77' David Silva curls a shot that beats Esteban but also beats the far post.
    • 75' Fernando Soriano picks up a booking for a foul on Albelda. Referee Jose Luis Gonzalez Gonzalez is not even that card-happy an official, by Spanish standards anyway, but he's had little choice other than the hand out as many as he is tonight.
    • 74' GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!! Pablo picks the ball up deep in midfield, sees Esteban off his line and executes a marvellous chip that drops into the net! Cracking goal.
    • 73' Michel whips a cross into the Valencia and Dealbert almost hacks it into his own net!
    • 71' Valencia are cruising now that they are facing 10 men. Almeria have not troubled cesar for a while now.
    • 69' Crusat's delivery is over everyone's head and out for a throw to Valencia.
    • 68' The cards are flying all over the place now, this time Bruno gets a yellow for a foul on Crusat. Almeria have a free-kick on the left wing.
    • 67' Villa is the only cnadidate to take this. He steps up and fires wide of the far post.
    • 66' Silva is tripped by Chico right on the edge of the box! The defender gets a booking, and Valencia have a free-kick in a great position.
    • 65' The corner comes out to the edge of the box, and Maduro fires over.
    • 65' Before they take the corner, Valencia swap Miguel for Alexis.
    • 64' Esteban's first act is to defned a free-kcik. Villa STRIKES.. Esteban puts it behind for a corner! His first touch is a fine save!
    • 64' Reserve keeper Esteban comes on, and it's Piatti who is sacrificed.
    • 63' Pablo is bearing down on goal, Diego Alves comes out of his area and takes him out... he's got to go... RED CARD! Almeria are down to 10 men!
    • 62' Modeste M'Bami is replaced by the more attacking Kalu Uche for Almeria.
    • 60' Piatti is through on goal, he only has Cesar to beat... He fires straight at the keeper! What a chance for Almeria to draw level.
    • 58' The visitors win a corner. Almeria clear the initial danger but struggle to get out of their half.
    • 57' Now we'll see what Almeria are made of. They competed well in the first half, but it's been all Valencia since the break.
    • 55' Villa's had a quiet game, but that goal puts a gap between him and the rest in the Pichichi chart.
    • 54' GOLGOLGOLGOL!! Pablo bombs down the right a chips an inch-perfect cross to David Villa at the far post, and the Spain striker heads past Alves to give Valencia the lead!
    • 53' Mata works half a yard of space and drills a low shot that's turned round the post by Diego ALves. Great save!
    • 52' Now Valencia make a change, with Ever Banega coming off for Hedwiges Maduro.
    • 51' There was one change at half time actually. Cisma, who looked to be on a mission for an early bath, was replaced by Guilherme by Almeria boss Hugo Sanchez.
    • 50' Silva has another strike from the edge of the box, but it doesn't trouble the keeper.
    • 48' Juanma Ortiz tries a shot from distance... Cesar gets a fingertip to it and it goes over the bar. The keeper claims he didn't touch, and the referee agrees!
    • 47' No changes made by either side at half time. Both sides have created plenty, someone just needs to convert a chance.
    • 46' The second half has kicked off!
    • 45+1' The whistle goes for half time. Either side could be leading, having spurned several good chances each.
    • 45' Just the one minute to add on.
    • 44' The half is coming to a scrappy end.
    • 43' Acasiete brings the ball out of defnece and finds Ortiz. Michel gets it down the wing and crosses for SORIANO... Another header glanced wide of the far post!
    • 41' Bruno heads back to Cesar with Piatti right on his shoulder. The Argentine striker chasies the ball down but the keeper can clear in time.
    • 40' Michwel has to head behind for a corner with Mata lurking at the far post.
    • 39' That's four bookings and goodness knows how many fouls already in this match. Free-flowing this has not been.
    • 38' Ever Banega is the latest player to go into the book for a foul on Bernardello.
    • 36' Silva slips a ball through for Villa to chase, but the striker had to check his run to stay onside.
    • 35' Valencia get in behind the Alemria back line. It's pulld back into the box and Silva tees it up for BANEGA... Blasted over the bar from the edge of the box.
    • 34' Valencia can't fashion a chance from the free-kick and Crusat leads the charge out of the Almeria half.
    • 33' Cisma goes diving in on Miguel and quite rightly gets a booking.
    • 33' M'Bami plays a nice ball over the top for Ortiz to control with a good first touch... he was marginally offside.
    • 32' Valencia have a throw in the Almeria final thrid, but the home side remain tight and Los Che are forced to play all the way back to Cesar.
    • 31' Miguel trips Piatti as he forward bombs down the left with the ball. The Portuguese gets a deserved yellow card.
    • 30' Half an hour gone, and both sides have had one good chance and several others go wide.
    • 28' Now it's Almeria's turn to send men forward for a deep free-kick. Michel curls the ball in for Soriano to glance wide! He completely lot his marker to get there.
    • 27' Nice quick interchanges in midfield and Mata tries the foul. The ball is floated in and Navarro beats Diego Alves to the ball but heads over.
    • 25' David Villa hasn't had much of an impact yet. But, with six league goals to his name already this season, he's bound to make himself known soon enough.
    • 24' Silva plays it down the channel for Banega, who turns and chips it to NAVARRO... headed just wide! The keeper was rooted to the spot there.
    • 23' Another foul by M'Bami, this time on Mata on the left side. Plenty forward as Silva comes to take the free-kick.
    • 22' Valencia have taken charge of this mach, ever since M'Bami clattered their bar really.
    • 20' Pablo skulks down the right wing. He oicks out a cross the goes to the far post for MATA TO STRIKE... Great save at the near post by Diego Alves!
    • 19' Pablo jumps into the back of Cisma and concedes the foul.
    • 18' Navarro protests against a foul awarded against him, and talks himself into the referee's book.
    • 17' Crusat's corner is headed out and Mata is impeded as he tries to lead a Valencia break.
    • 16' Piatti makes a meal out of the slightest contact from Navarro and Almeria has a free-kick. Played square to Soriano for the shot, but it deflects behind for a corner.
    • 15' It'll be Silva to strike... over the bar.
    • 14' M'Bami fouls Silva on the edge of the Almeria box. This is a good shooting opportunity for Villa, Silva or Mata. What a trio to call upon for a set piece...
    • 12' Ortiz wins a corner off DeAlbert. Cesar can't get a strong punch to it and it falls for M'BAMI... Off the bar! The Cameroon midfielder couldn't keep his volley down.
    • 11' Navarro heads the ball clear and Crusat gives it back to Michel. Almeria will have to settle for a throw in the right-hand side.
    • 10' Almeria have afree-kick deep on the left. Michel will deliver...
    • 9' Crusat goes hareing down the wing chasing a long ball, but Cesar Sanchez is off his line very quickly for a 38-year-old.
    • 8' Now Soriano sees the flag go up against him.
    • 7' Albelda pulls the strings in midfield very nicely. Amazing to think he was so marginalised under Koeman. Then again, a lot of things about Koeman's reign were amazing.
    • 6' Almeria's Ortiz is caught offside.
    • 5' Almeria have only scored seven goals in as many league games this season, so the likeliehood of them beating Valencia by two clear goals and miving above them into sixth isn't that big, but you never know.
    • 4' Navarro heads over the corner, but the referee wants it re-taken. This time Diego Alves punches it clear.
    • 3' Pablo plays out to Juan Mata, who plays one-twowith Banega that results in a corner.
    • 2' David Silva tries a strike from outside the area that goes wide.
    • 1' The first half is underway!
    • 17:59 The players are out shaking hands, so we'll be underway shortly.
    • 17:59 A handsome win at the Estadio Juegos del Mediterrano could even take Almeria above Valencia and up into sixth, so there's plenty on the line this evening.
    • 17:58 Valencia could move into the top four of La Liga with a win at Almeria. La Liga table
  • Summary

    • 87' GOLGOLGOLGOLGOLGOL!! Juan Mata gets his goal to make it 3-0! The young winger is given all the space he needs to set himself up for a strike from 20 yards out, and he drills it right into the bottom corner giving Esteban no chance!

  8. Yip@ Chelski don't need Villa to win the Premiership! 5-0 against Blackburn saya it all. If Chelski can be consistent they will win the league. Ancellotti isn't a fool and he knows that Chelski;s prob's are in defence. Cole is poor but Terry could be the new Maldini. Nowy to woory about Chelskie wil be fine.

  17. At the start of the season I wrote that Almeria would be in La Liga for year 2010/2011. I also suggested a to six finish. I stand by my first forecast and hope the second one becomes a reality. WIN WIN WIN Almeria!!

From PT H, on Sun 25 Oct 6:40PM
  18. Valencia should win this match as they are having a very torrid time throughout the weeks. The sacking of Abel Resino and the lack of motivation from the players are the main factor why did Valencia are fair poorly especially the start of the season but the re-hiring back Que Que Flores into the squad might get things up again, probably.
