    • 90+3 That's it, Real are top for two hours at least with Barca up against Real Sociedad next!
    • 90+2 In the second of three minutes added time, by the way. Bertolo on the right but Marcelo and Alonso bring it away.
    • 90+1 Morata on the right now shows some clever skill but Jarosik bundles into him and comes away with the ball. He is a B-team player promoted due to Higuain's injury.
    • 90' Morata almost scores with his first touch as he races clear on the left but out flies Franco to parry the finish!
    • 89' MADRID SUB: Morata on for Di Maria.
    • 88' Ronaldo is playing as an old-school number nine now, leading the line and throwing himself about winning headers.
    • 87' Real are still pushing for a fourth, despite the defensive nature of the subs. They want more.
    • 85' This has been a fun match, it really has. End to end and played largely in the right spirit, although Zaragoza have been a bit divey.
    • 84' MADRID SUB: Ozil comes off for Mahamadou Diarra.
    • 83' Ronaldo hails back Diogo, but the Uruguayan fouled him first so his complaints are in vain. Madrid break and have men over but they overplay it as Granero is given too much to do, running it out for a goal kick in the end.
    • 82' Straight down the other end, Zaragoza win a corner that Jarosik meets but is unable to get any direction on. Ronaldo leaves Ponzio in a heap, the Argentine over-reacting as Ronaldo slightly catches him while clearing. No foul, correct call.
    • 81' Lass surges in, he finds Di Maria who plays a first-time backheel and Lass slides in but Franco gets there first!
    • 80' MADRID SUB: Benzema is off for Granero.
    • 79' Bertolo is booked now for an unnecessary trip on Marcelo.
    • 78' Di Maria races in down the right, Real in again but Ponzio slides in to block the cut back for a corner.
    • 77' Madrid counter, they have men over, three on one and Benzema is in but the angle is too tight and Franco does really well to close it down further and make the block!
    • 77' Alonso with a clumsy tackle in the middle of the park and now he is booked. Casillas claims the free kick after Jarosik flicks on.
    • 76' Di Maria gives it away and Diogo tries to free Perez but the pass is too long and Casillas can claim.
    • 75' Tackles flying in from both sides and Alonso is penalised for a foul on Bertolo. Still a bit manic.
    • 74' Free-kick to Zaragoza now but Gabi's centre is headed clear by the towering Pepe.
    • 73' Alonso is taken down late by Herrera after he played the pass wide.
    • 72' Benzema shows great pace to race on to a through ball from Alonso but Diogo is just as quick and slides in strong to put it out for a throw.
    • 71' The flag is up as Ronaldo shapes up to blast past Franco, Benzema offisde during a nice passing move from Madrid.
    • 70' Lass on the ball, nice pass wide to Ozil, Di Maria now, it spins up for ronaldo but he Hammers it well over.
    • 69' Lanzaro heads the next one clear, now Lafita to Bertolo, Perez on the right but he loses the ball and Lass wins a throw off Bertolo.
    • 68' Ozil charges forward and hammers a shot on target that takes a big deflection off Lanzaro for a corner. The first one is headed behind again by Jarosik.
    • 67' Benzema to Ronaldo, he's in the area and shimmies inside but Lanzaro hurls himself at the shot.
    • 66' Bertolo fouls Arbeloa trying to get the ball back after a weak corner is cleared. All a bit hectic now. Ronaldo on the left, back to Marcelo. I'd have said this was out of sight earlier but it's pretty open at La Romareda!
    • 65' Lass bounds forward, a driving run and he finds Benzema, a ball wide to Ronaldo on the left, the angle is tight so he delays and cuts it back, behind Benzema who still gets a shot away but weak and at the keeper. Zaragoza break, and win a corner. Phew.
    • 64' Ponzio plays it in for Perez but Pepe nods the ball back to Casillas. Alonso loses the ball though and here come Zaragoza... Lafita to Gabi but Marcelo closes him down and whacks it away. Benzema closing down well and it's all the way back with Franco.
    • 63' Arbeloa smacks a long-range effort high, wide and into the stands.
    • 62' Perez handles, says the ref, but he seemed to take it on the chest.
    • 61' Casillas hoofs upfield under pressure from the bright Perez. Ronaldo can't keep the ball in, Zaragoza have a throw.
    • 60' Ponzio gives the ball away in his own half and is lucky that the ref penalises Lass for the challenge.
    • 59' A delay as a Zaragoza staff member is sent from the dugout... I think it's their physio! Odd. What on earth was he doing getting involved? Hopefully there are no injuries...
    • 58' Great run by Perez down the right, he has Bertolo arriving so drills a low cross in but poked behind for a corner.
    • 57' Di Maria closes Gabi down. Zaragoza have a throw. The home crowd boosted by that goal.
    • 56' An interesting tussle emerging between Benzsema and Jarosik as the latter beats the former to a header, sending him to the turf.
    • 55' GOAL ZARAGOZA! 3-1, they're kind of back in it as Gabi drills the penalty bottom right, Casillas going the wrong way.
    • 54' PENALTY ZARAGOZA! Carvalho sticks a leg out and Bertolo goes over in the box and it's a clear penalty. Bertolo was already diving but Carvalho made a poor tackle.
    • 53' ZARAGOZA SUB: Perez is on for Edmilson, Sinama-Pongolle is off too for Ponzio.
    • 52' Arbeloa flies across Paredes to win a header and goes down in a heap. A heavy fall.
    • 51' No joy this time, Ronaldo's shot hits the wall. Diogo hoofs it down the other end.
    • 50' Another free-kick to Madrid, central, a yard from the D, wonder who'll take this... Ronaldo sizes it up, stands legs apart...
    • 49' Oh dear, Lanzaro is going to walk... No, just a yellow. Benzema took him out with a superb dragback and he clipped him en route to goal. Should have been red.
    • 48' Zaragoza have a free-kick, swung into the box but dealt with by the Madrid defence.
    • 47' Oops. 3-0 already. Di Maria chips Franco after a defence-splitting pass from Xabi Alonso sends him scuttling clear of the flat-footed home defence. Game, set and match.
    • 46' Second half underway.
    • 45' Shame pantomime villain C-Ron couldn't do it against Barca, eh? Brilliant goal though, Madrid lead into the break. Franco is still standing still, he hasn't moved.
    • 44' GOAL! BRILLIANT! RONALDO! Power, pace, bend, curl, whatever you want, he sends a superb free-kick into the top left. Franco just stands there. 2-0. Ronaldo pretends he doesn't care while his team-mates queue up to make out with him.
    • 43' Free-kick to Madrid now around 35 yards out. No prizes for guessing which alpha-dog wants this...
    • 42' Lanzaro is down, hurt after stretching to block C-Ron's shot. He is okay I think and trots off while the corner is taken. It almost drops to Ronaldo but Edmilson gets it clear. Lanzaro back on the pitch slides in well on Benzema, now Alonso crosses but too close to Franco.
    • 41' Ronaldo smacks in a shot that hits Lanzaro and flies out for a corner.
    • 40' Almost brilliant from Benzema! He took Di Maria's high ball on his chest and, from a very acute angle, cut it back for Ronaldo but just behind the Portugal star, who would have had a tap in!
    • 39' GREAT SAVE CASILLAS! Lafita got in behind Carvalho to hammer a low drive for the bottom left but the Spain star was equal to it!
    • 38' Jarosik misses a header and Ozil could be in but it skips away from him and out for a goal kick! Almost a real howler by the converted midfielder, playing at centre half these days.
    • 37' Lanzaro does well to get the ball away from Ronaldo with Paredes out of position.
    • 36' Gabi makes the wrong decision with his pass with Bertolo in, he gets another bite at it but Bertolo takes a dive instead of trying to win it against Pepe and Madrid clear.
    • 35' Marcelo is booked for his reaction after Paredes hacks wildly at Di Maria. A dreadful challenge but the ref only shows a card to a Madrid player.
    • 34' Ozil and Alonso over the free-kick 35 yards out and Ozil pumps it in but Franco punches clear.
    • 33' Benzema rolls about on the floor after a challenge with Gabi, holding his ankle but he's up and will run it off.
    • 32' Di Maria grimaces after landing awkwardly on his arm I think. He's not happy...
    • 31' Ozil tries a clever flick but neither Ronaldo nor Benzema are wise to it and Jarosik clears.
    • 30' Gabi trips Marcelo from behind and I think he has been booked.
    • 29' Benzema races through after lovely one-touch play between Alonso and Di Maria but Diogo blocks his finish under Franco! That was going in.
    • 28' Carvalho is way up the pitch, not sure what he's doing up there, but he wins a throw on the left wing for Marcelo to take. He exchanges passes with Ozil, now Benzema on the ball, back to Ozil but Jarosik clears his cross.
    • 27' Madrid manage to clear the free-kick but Zaragoza come again with Paredes on the left but Alonso tackles and brings it clear.
    • 26 Arbeloa sees yellow for a clumsy tackle on Gabi. Harsh.
    • 25' A long-range shot from Lass flies a lot closer to the goa this time but still a yard wide.
    • 24' A stray cross from Di Maria evades Ronaldo on the left. Marcelo has it though, he feeds Ronaldo who crosses low but Jarosik hoofs clear.
    • 23' Wide from Ozil to Di Maria on the right, he slides Benzema in but he is yards offside.
    • 22' Jarosik with a stray ball down the pitch that Lass intercepts. Real able to build again after a brief spell off the ball.
    • 20' Madrid looking far more comfortable after the goal, stroking the ball about nicely now.
    • 19' Benzema almost makes something out of nothing but Lanzaro and Jarosik are on to him and Franco claims.
    • 18' Marcelo bombs down the left and crosses in but Franco claims. Great skill to skin Diogo before the centre.
    • 17' Wasteful free-kick from Zaragoza, aimless into the Madrid box as Casillas claims.
    • 16' Naughty from Lass, the ref can't have seen his stamp on Gabi's ankle otherwise he'd have been off.
    • 15' Inside to Ronaldo with Benzema racing in but Diogo slides in on Ronaldo to clear. Zaragoza break, Sinama on it now but Alonso intercepts and plays the ball upfield. Great flick on by Ronaldo, super play as Marcelo races in on the left, wicked ball across the pitch to Ozil free on the right and he cuts inside before sliding it under Franco for 1-0. What a goal on the break!
    • 14' Lass slips it inside with Ronaldo in there but Paredes and Jarosik combine to clear.
    • 13' Di Maria finds space on the right but not for long as Lanzaro hurls himself across. Throw. Marcelo crosses from the left but Jarosik clears ahead of Benzema for a throw on the left.
    • 12' Ronaldo plays it back to Lass, who inexplicably shoots from around 35 yards and almost hits Portugal.
    • 11' Some respite for Madrid, the hosts have applied some really good early pressure that Los Merengues are struggling to keep up with.
    • 10' Carvalho clearly obstructs Lafita but play on says the ref. Madrid under the cosh early on!
    • 9' Ozil and Ronaldo are on the left but in the end Gabi brings it clear. The hosts break, Lafita and Sinama, now Bertolo on it AND LAFITA DRILLS IT INCHES WIDE! Casillas was beaten all ends up as Lafita hammered it low across him.
    • 8' Dangerous free-kick in from Lafita and Jarosik attacks it but Marcelo and Pepe combine to hook it away.
    • 7' Ronaldo is tackled by Bertolo, then pulls him off the ball and is harshly booked. Not the greatest start for Madrid.
    • 5' Far post with the corner but Pepe clears. Back in from Gabi, Bertolo hurls himself to the deck but Pepe got the ball. Throw.
    • 4' A bright enough opening at La Romareda. Zaragoza seeing a fair amount of ball as Diogo and Pongolle combine, now Lafita with a far-post cross that Bertolo attacks but Arbeloa just gets in behind him! Corner.
    • 3' A poor short corner is brought clear by Marcelo, now Di Maria but Franco hoofs upfield.
    • 2' Zaragoza with an early free-kick that Jarosik flicks on, taking a deflection via Pepe I think and out for a corner.
    • 1' The first half is underway!
    • 17:55 No major surprises for bottom side Zaragoza, with former Liverpool and Atletico striker Florent Sinama-Pongolle leading the line. Madrid are without Sergio Ramos (knee) and Gonzalo Higuain (hernia), meaning a rare start for Karim Benzema up front while Alvaro Arbeloa starts at right-back.
    • 17:50 TEAMS - Real Zaragoza: Franco, Diogo, Lanzaro, Jarosik, Paredes, Gabi, Edmilson, Lafita, Bertolo, Herrera, Sinama-Pongolle; Subs: Doblas, Lopez, Ponzio, Contini, Pinter, Boutahar, Perez /// Real Madrid: Casillas, Arbeloa, Pepe, Carvalho, Marcelo, Alonso, L.Diarra, Di Maria, Ozil, Ronaldo, Benzema; Subs: Adan, Albiol, Garay, M.Diarra, Granero, Leon, Morata
