Branislav Ivanovic endured a personal nightmare as Swansea completed a 2-0 away win over Chelsea in their League Cup semi-final first leg. More

how could Chelsea loose to Swansea??? too bad
I have NEVER seen such MORONIC play like Ivanovic, for a LONG time ! Actually NEVER seen 2 such HORRIBLE mistakes from one player in the same game. Wow, Ivanovic - what a LOG
Only Marin !
@patrick, "This Chelsea manager masterminded the comeback of all comebacks, in Istanbul in 2005." Too bad,no Steven Gerrard to repeat his infamous DIVING for penalty theatrics !!
@patrick&Tony, If Chelsea win 1-0 they will be out of the competition . Away goals count ONLY when both teams score the same number of goals !!
Benitez has done it again not learning from his first wrong team selection against QPR,does'nt pick the best until they go behind and change things when it's too late the manager and the owner can do one for me,the team without Chec,Cole,Terry Lamps, and The Drog is just not good enough.
All the fans coming on here talking rubbish but what happened to Liverpool, Man United, Arsenal? because I dont see them in the semis?
Great win by the jacks, Still think the game is alive though. Cant afford to just defend this lead. Chelsea will have nothing to lose so will throw kitchen sink at Swansea. But another goal from the jacks could kill the tie. This will be very interesting.
@ Laurie a woman coming out with a comment like that says it all lol, go back to the kitchen!! Ivanovic has been a top player since he came to Chelsea and he make two mistakes and people call him a joke of a player? silly little girl.
This is beginning of an era of minnows beating the giants. I have always believed that until all the football clubs are owned by their fans, the state of football is not going to improve for the better. Swansea are a shining beacon in this direction. We need a massive clear out of all the oligarchs that control professional football, together with a complete clear out of the ole guard at FA& Football League. Bring in new blood, new ideas and a renewed enthusiasum and a belief that nothing is impossible!!
Lampard will be glad to go. The fans may be great but the management and owner are a nightmare. Both need replacing.
i think chelsea should of won because they are the better team
Torres should go
Every man has his problems...even 50 million Torress.....:)) I wish to be in his shoes...maybe, I will do my job.
Well, it happens again at the Bridge. Another poor performance. Every player can have a bad game so we have to accept this result and move on. But there are few things that still needs to be addressed: one, Chelsea needs to stop playing most of thier games at the back. Majority of Chelsea's game is played at the back, so in the end, most of the teams sit back and waite for them. Because of such approach to the game, it is deeply impeding Torres performance on the pitch. Even Damba Ba said the same thing last week when they played Southathan. They have to be fast in pushing the ball around especially the strikers ( Ba and Torres). For example, when Ba came on, the faster Lampard releases the ball, Ba was able to score; even though the goal was not allowed, but the threat was created and implimented quickly. I personally believe Torres still has the potential to score goals, but Chelsea players in particular Mata, Oscar, Cole, Invanovic, and Mikel, must all be able to release the ball as soon as possible whenever Torres or Ba is in position. Torres is a very good and intellegent player, at the same time a team player, so I am pleading to those dishearted fans to show him respect. Even though he's not scoring week-in-week out, but his contribution has been huge and helpful. For example, last season against Benfica, Barca, and Bayern in the final. Even this season as well. Finally, it is about time that Cheslea's Board should open the conversation of renewing the contracts of Frank, Cole, and Terry because these guys are yet to be replaced until the next two seasons from now. The new players are good, but they are not mantured to overpower the strengths of ManUtd and City. We still need our old guys aroound to norture the young players.
As I said before, when Turnbull is on, 90% Chelsea will lose the match. Turnbull its time to turn you off.
Just last night i predicted Rafa will start Torres and we will lose. He did just that and i have been proved right. Thanks to Rafa and Torres. Those we have lost because of Torres: Ancelotti AVB RDM Drogba Sturridge Lukaku (may never return to SB)
Well done agent Benitez
I think what people are forgetting is that this Chelsea manager masterminded the comeback of all comebacks, in Istanbul in 2005. That was 0-3 with 45 mins to play. This is only 0-2 with 90 to play.

Another outstanding performance by the Welsh international at the heart of a well- organised Swansea defence.
