Why all the diatribe and vitriol to the Vale Michael.­ Ifs and buts spring to mind you may not like the Vale­ but they definately deserve credit for where they now­ sit at the top of League 2 as the club has been in­ turmoil for several seasons. Vale would have been­ promoted if Micky Adams had not took the ill fated job­ at Sheffield United. Just hope they keep their best­ players as selling is a false economy and promotion­ will generate more money in the long run.

  6. Where is Michael when you want to take the p**s out of­ him? Chesterfield just clawed themselves back to 1-1 at­ home against the mighty Morecambe and we are cruising­ at 1-3 away! Top of the league we go - great way to­ start the New Year! The Pope is still scoring, so is­ Dodds and it took a penalty to get them on the­ scoresheet. This should be good for the goal difference­ as well. TWOY!

If we can take 4 points from visits to Cheltenham and­ Rotherham, then a trip to Dagenham shouldn't be too­ worrying, though no games are easy when you are in the­ promotion places; everybody wants to beat you. The Pope­ continues to produce assists and score and Dodds is­ back to his early season form. A good result here­ followed by a home win against Fleetwood to celebrate­ the New Year and we'll be sliding into League 1 -­ not quite the slide Michael predicted, but the one­ Bernard, Key, John, me and a few others could see­ coming!
