  2. Great result and the attendance was good for League 2,­ particularly when you consider how empty the away­ stand was. Good to see Burge get the Man of the Match­ award, he was excellent and has developed enormously­ this season - just shows how important it is to have a­ run in the team and keep fit. Vincent's second goal­ was a cracker. The Pope may not be scoring but the­ attention defences are giving him is enabling others to­ do so. JMW had a poor game overall, he needs to get his­ head up more and see what is going around him. The­ defence was good, though still looks a bit suspect at­ set-pieces. Surprising given Purse'e experience and­ footballing intelligence. The important thing is we are­ still top, and will still be whatever the results next­ weekend! TOOMA! TWOY!

  6. cant tell whether fairplay is a blurton bowl fan or­ not. but he certainly talks out his acer for sure. if­ he is then surely its just jealousy talking cos he has­ to endure goin down the brit week in week out and watch­ that load of boring gash. im not even a vale fan but­ id prefer to go watch a good league 2 side than that­ load of cack down the britannia. id be slittin me­ wrists after 5 minutes .

    Wow what an attendance tonight we really filled the­ ground (not) Laugh? I nearly fell out of my seat­ listening to BBC Radio Vale when they announced the­ gate! I've never heard such rot in all my life re­ filling the ground tonight ! The chuckle brothers must­ now realise that despite their best efforts there are­ no fail fans in the numbers they anticipated to be­ taken for a ride despite the bribe of admission for a­ tenner. The clocks ticking my deluded friends enjoy­ your short lived promotion when it comes the council­ wont be there to bale you out again when the chuckle­ brothers decide to pull the plug when they realise­ theres no money to be made other than selling the­ ground. Port Fail and crowds???WAYLOB.

  11. Gareth has done us a favour! We loved him at Vale Park­ before tonight, he'll get an even better reception­ the next time he comes, whenever that may be. We now­ have the chance to put clear water between us and­ Gillingham and really go for automatic promotion.­ I'll be there tomorrow to see another 3 points­ picked up and, I hope, see the Pope get back to­ scoring. He is still playing well, holding the ball­ well and bringing other players in. Provided we stop­ Midson for once, another clean sheet should push the­ goal difference up too; why do always let him score­ against us?   16. Great result against Accrington, fully deserved though­ the sending off may not have helped as it just meant­ they didn't pose any real threat and 'parked­ the bus'. Take back what I said about Hughes­ before, he played with intelligence and commitment, not­ to mention skill apart from his 'airshot' in­ the first half. We weren't up to tempo in the first­ half, but Burge had a great game and the back four­ looked solid apart from a couple of set plays. Another­ 3 points tonight and we're back on top of the­ table!
