Get in there my son!!
Wish I could see us not losing again this season, Michael - we play Gillingham next weekend, don't we? Great result today, and but for the Argylle keeper making a series of first class saves, it could've 9 or 10 - 0. He didn't deserve to be in a side beaten 4 - 0. The Pope was superb, could've had a hat-trick, and linked well with Williamson who was rightly given the Man of the Match award. Good to see Chris Birchall back at Vale Park, though he was a bit off the pace, but he will add some bite and class to the midfield. Don't think the sending off - which was a good decision - had any effect on the result as we would've won anyway, but we weren't bossing midfield until the second half - still not convinced we can play 2 up front and Ashley and Jennison as it leaves us too light in midfield. TWOY
Thanks Roberto and goodbye Michael TWOY
Congratulations to the FAIL for yet another win,and i have to concede its looking very good for the FAIL this season.Cant see you losing again this year. And what about that table topping bumper crowd again eh 5116,thats brilliant !!!!!!!!!! You cant possibly blow it now can you ??????????????????????????????????????????? CREAM
Am a long way from the pottries in Berkshire but my roots are still there. I know I follow BOTH clubs (get that) and I am really pleased the Vale are ready for Division ONE. I knew the Vale when they topped the old Div 4 with only 6 goals against all season. THEY SHOULDN'T BE IN THIS DIVISION AND NOW DESREVE TO GET OUT. I Port Vale ARE a Div 1 iside and thuis season (like last) show them to be the BEST. Congratulations to Jon Pope the best in the division and GOOD LUCK to all for the rest of this seaso. I shall be fillowing you!
54 goals scored the Vale and a game in hand don,t think we have a problem going up up up not like thicky Micky going down down down well done the Vale TWOY
We are the Vale 4 nil yahoooooo I agree John TWOY
We are 4 nil up the Pope has been fed shove that right up you Michael you lost again CREAM sliding down again yahoooooooooooooooooooooooo the Vale TWOY
Going DOOOOWWWWWWNNNNNNNNNNNNN There's only one team in Devon. We are Exeter
Michael wern't Chesterfield second favourites to go up this season?. The Titanic was first.
Na na na nah nah OOOOOF!!!!!!!
Michael, I may be a season ticket holder, but family comes before even the Vale. I guess Spireites/Stokeites or whatever you are don't value their families as high as I do. Did you see what the attendance was last Saturday? Over 6000 - and precious few members of the Cod Army. Dream on, Michael, we are going up, which is more than Chesterfield are. Be interesting to see who else Micky gets in during the transfer window. TWOY!
your very much an armchair supporter arnt you Mr Morgan ????????? seems you miss quite a lot of the FAILS matches through one thing or another ?????????? have a look on that forehead of yours you just might see one almighty thumbprint !!!!!!!!!!!!! How on earth are them gates ever gonna get over 4500- 5000 to break even ?????? the slide continues / CREAM.
I'd just like us to get a striker as back up to cover suspensions and injuries, but someone who has a decent scoring record unlike Andrew but hey ho.Nice to see Birchall back im looking forward to seeing him play again THE ONLY WAY IS UP!!!
I'd agree about the lack of pace in the middle of the back four, but I think Chilvers has more of a football brain than Boom-Boom. Pity he kept falling over in the first half on Saturday, must have changed his studs at half-time. I'd also agree about Davis, he played well at Northampton when we lost both centrebacks before half-time. Lofts will put in a shift wherever he plays, depends who Micky can pick up during the window. Why get another striker? Either the Pope would have to be dropped or you risk a weak midfield if you play 2 up front. We should be OK for promotion, but need to be planning for next season. Still waiting for grandchild no 4 to put in an appearance, so may have to follow the game on-line again and celebrate the birth as well as 3 more points. TWOY!
Yeah we should be fine, but we need some assurance that we'll get into league 1.In my oppinion we defo need a pacey centre back, why did we bring back Chilvers when we could give Joe Davis extra playing time with boom.We need a left back, defensive midfielder personally i would put Loft in the defensive midfield position seeing that he can put in a cracking tackle and runs his socks off every time he plays. And last for me a new striker, get rid of Andrew i cant see him doing much for us,although he wasnt too bad the other day.Lee Hughes would of been great but that looks dead as a dodo now.Im sure we'll be fine though UP THE VALE !!!
If we play to our strengths, we'll be fine any way, at this level, Key. We didn't get where we are without having the ability to stay there, but we need to start building for next season in League 1. What we can't afford to do is give up midfield as we did on Saturday, as it means the back four gets over-run and the attack lacks service. Reality is that Jennison doesn't cover back well enough so we need at least three in midfield with the Pope and Jennison up-front with Dodds playing in the hole. On the other hand, it might just be that Micky knows more about football than I ever will! Kevin Davies would be brill, but I can't imagine him dropping to League 2, somehow. Plymouth should be an ideal opportunity to put Saturday behind us and put some pressure on Gillingham and the rest. TWOY!
Come on the Vale lets get back to normal winning ways TWOY
As long as we get the right players in Pete we'll be fine, heard a rumour today we might be goin in for Kevin Davies of Bolton Wanderers. Not sure how true this is wouldnt be a bad signing UP THE VALE!!
You were saying that before Xmas, in fact before December started, Michael, and i don't see the gap getting any smaller. Still 9 places behind us, 10 points behinds us and a goal difference of 17. Oh, and I forgot, we've got a game in hand. Dream on, Michael. I notice no comments about the mighty Cream and their defeat by Accrington, who are now a mere 6 places and 6 points below you. At least we can see where and how we need to improve, perhaps your problems are just too big to contemplate. TWOY!.
