90+5' Di Maria in a fantastic position, but once again his refusal to use his right foot comes to haunt him as his left footed toe poke is straight at the keeper. And that's the last action of the match. What a 0-0 that was.
90+3' Header back across goal and Benzema with a great chance! Straight at Guaita though. Glaring miss.- 90+2' Beautiful touch from Kaka, but he can't get the cross in. Soldado tugs back Marcelo and he almost gets the reaction he was looking for.
- 90+1' Time wasting antics as Rami stays down after colliding with Casillas. Four minutes of stoppage time.
- 90' Soldado wins the cheap freekick off Arbeloa as he backs into the defender. Chance to throw it in...
- 89' Too many players for Marcelo to beat and Costa slides in to clear. Pepe with one of the worst crosses of all time and Valencia take their sweet time getting back under way.
- 88' Kaka dribbles across the box and hits a low cross that is deflected out for a corner. Mathieu with a towering header and Guaita holds on to the Arbeloa follow up from distance.
- 87' Valencia with everyone but Soldado behind the ball now. Di Maria goes for a shot in a ridiculous position way out wide outside the area.
- 86' A flick on from Soldado beats the whole defence and Alba is in! His shot is stopped by Casillas yet again.
85' Madrid substitution: Ozil is off for Callejon.- 84' Pablo rifles a shot from a tight angle about 10 yards out and it flies over the bar. They really could nick it on the break.
- 83' Ronaldo spots the run from Ozil, but there's too much on the pass. Valencia with a rare bout of possession now...
- 82' Di Maria tries a nonchalent little chip from distance like the goal against Apoel in midweek. This attempt's poor though.
- 81' Di Maria hits a cross with the outside of his boot and Benzema is almost there to nod in at the near pot. Fantastic Valencia defending again though.
- 80' A terrible corner from Kaka as he hits it straight into the side-netting. They're really running out of time now.
- 78' Ronaldo plays square to Benzema, who hits a first time shot. Guaita saves the first, the second as the Frenchman gets his head to the rebound and his third attempt flies wide!
- 77' Valencia sub: Soldado finally comes on for Aduriz. Their top scorer - he'd have surely put some of those earlier chances away.
- 76' Benzema is lurking at the back post, but it's cleared for a corner. Taken quick and short and Di Maria's stinging shot is parried over the bar.
- 75' Aduriz with a free header at the back post and he puts it over the bar! A deflection took the pace off the cross, but he should stil have done better.
- 74' Di Maria is dispossessed, Mourinho is furious when the handball isn't given and Valencia come forward, but the ball is played too early for Mathieu.

- 72' Mathieu clatters a shot inches wide! Great shot, leaving Casillas with no chance.
- 71' Absolutely no contact from the defender there, Ronaldo merely tripped up himself. He shamefully looked towards the referee for a decision and slammed his hands down in frustration when it wasn't given.
- 70' Ronaldo breaks free and he's one-on-one. All of a sudden he goes down with Rami right behind him. He must have been clipped but the referee gives nothing!
- 69' Khedira with an excellent interception. Ozil is now running on empty. Why can he not last out games?
- 67' Tremendous tackle from Topal to prevent the Ronaldo cross from getting into the area. Three quarters of the way through now and still no goals.
- 66' Ozil draws the throw in from Rami, but there's still a real lack of ideas. Guaita watches the ball fly over his head and out to safety...just.
- 65' Good distance for Ronaldo, about 35 yards from goal...his effort flies away like an over inflated beachball and well wide.
64' Guaita punches the deflected cross away and Mathieu can break. It's end to end at the minute and Parejo gets a yellow after taking out Di Maria.- 63' Valencia substitutions: Pablo Hernandez and Mathieu on, Piatti and Feghouli are off.
- 62' Marcelo again loses outby his own corner flag. Arbeloa tries to run the ball out, but there;s not enough pace on it and Pepe again goes down againt the tiny Piatti to win the freekick.
- 60' Piatti goes on a long run, but is eventually run out of it by Pepe. The big defender goes down after Piatti slides in and the Portuguese's reaction is half hilarious half soul destroying as he writhes around in mock agony. Truly pathetic.
- 59' Tino Costa is now booked as he ignores the ref's directions to only take the freekick on the whistle.
- 58' Di Maria's booked after a mix of handball then a bit of dissent. The referees handling this well though as it starts to heat up.
- 57' Guaita puches the through ball clear and it falls straight to Ronaldo. The keeper comes out of the area to put the Portuguese under pressure. His shot beats him, but Benzema gets a touch to it and he's called for offside.
- 56' Marcelo fires in a cross come shot and it's once again very very poor.
- 55' Feghouli curls a ball into the box, it's headed clear. Moments later Tino Costa thumps a shot in off the bar! So so close.
- 53' Di Maria jinks up the left, and simply refusing to use his right foot tries to cross it with his left as he wedges from behind his right foot. It goes straight out for a goal kick.
- 52' Ozil charges up the right and the German just collapses as soon as he gets into the area under pressure from Tino Costa. That's a dive, but no yellow.
- 51' Di Maria is taken out, Madrid get it back underway quickly and just as quickly lose the ball.
- 50' Valencia are still giving as good as they are getting. R Costa flashes a cross across goal, but just no one there to nod it in.
- 48' Good delivery, but Alonso does really well to nod clear. Feghouli has a snap shot, but it's blocked and Real have it back.
- 47' Would have been nice to have seen Kaka come on, he's been on fire recently. Khedira is booked for a tug and Valencia can throw in the freekick...

- 45+2' Marcelo once again loses the ball, but no matter as the referee blows for half time.
- 45+1' Long range shot from Benzema and that suits Valencia right down to the ground. No imagination from Madrid in this first half.
- 45' Guaita just about prevents the corner. Valencia again have lots of men forward, but Alba in a good crossing position hits the first man.
- 44' Jordi Alba's taken a knock, but he's back on his feet. All these little stops in play suit the away side.
- 43' Aduriz takes on Albiol and beats him, firing in a cross across the face of goal. The smallest man in La Liga Piatti tries but fails to get a head on it.
- 42' Marcelo to Ozil, threaded through to Benzema who takes on the shot first time and it's blocked.
- 41' Marcelo with an awful cross/shot from the corner of the area. He's had a terrible game so far.
- 40' Madrid play it around the area, but there's no hint of getting into the area. Ronaldo has a left footed dig from distance and it's deflected wide for a corner.
- 39' Piatti break forward after a poor pass from Marcelo. It's two on two, but his pass out to Aduriz is terrible.
- 38' Arbeloa picks up the first booking of the match as Valencia hit on the break. Good run from Feghouli, but the balls not quite right and Casillas picks it up.
- 37' Vague shouts for a handball from the Madrid players, but no doing. Ronaldo picks the ball up, dinks a cross to the backpost where Ozil thinks about hitting it first time. He controls instead, then fires across goal and it's cleared with ease.
- 36' Valencia without a doubt should be winning by now. And by at least a goal. Khedira gallops forward to good effect and wins the corner.
- 35' What a save from Casillas as he gets down so quickly to a Piatti shot low into the corner! Brilliantly set up by Feghouli.
- 34' Higuain hits on the counter, works his way into the area and tries to turn Topal inside out, but the big defender stays firm.
- 33' Casillas nervously slices the clearance out for a corner. T Costa with it and again it's deep and again it's cleared.
- 32' Pepe with a thunderous shot. The only problem is that it is woefully inaccurate as the top tier duck their heads.

- 23' Classic Ronaldo, going for goal at any opportunity at the expense of teammates. This one is deflected wide, and Guaita handles the incoming corner with ease.
- 22' Again tidy build up work from Valencia, and it was really deserving of more as Tino Costa slices a shot from distance well wide.
- 21' Feghouli is penalised as he challenges with Marcelo. Another good crossing position....it's played deep to the back post, but Benzema can't keep his header in.

- 19' Nice turn from Arbeloa and he wins the freekick off Piatti. Valencia keep a high line though and Costa can head away.
- 18' Valencia keep hold of the ball nicely, but Feghouli's through ball is comfortably cut out by Albiol.
- 17' Poor pass from Marcelo for Benzema and it runs straight through to Guaita.
- 16' The ball is headed clear and Parejo takes a woeful swipe at it, scewing it miles wide. Madrid tear straight up the other end and win a freekick.
- 15' First corner of the evening for Valencia. They're already taking their time getting over to it.
- 14' The ball's just a bit too close to goal really as he gets all the power, but not nearly enough dip and it's out for a goal kick.

- 5' This Madrid defence could surely be got at if opposing teams went for it. Anyway Valencia are already packed into their own area and defending in numbers.
