  • Live Commentary

    • FT Osasuna 1-2 Barcelona. Messi proves crucial again as Barca turn it around to secure victory.
    • 90'+3 Barca clear and are controlling possession as the clock counts down.
    • 90'+2 Puyol is up now and we are well into injury time - but Osasuna have a corner.
    • 90' Puyol has taken a hit here and is receiving treatment on the field.
    • 89' Xavi comes on in the 70th minute and Barca turn it around. Coincidence? Tweet me
    • 87' Lamah makes another dangerous run into the box but his cross from the left is blocked by Puyol. Barca eventually clear, but it's all a little frantic at the back.
    • 85' Osasuna's Lolo sees yellow for a block on Jordi Alba
    • 83' How crucial was Nino's miss? The substitute missed a one-on-one just minutes before Barca's equaliser. And that goal has dampened the enthusiasm of the crowd. Tweet me
    • 82' Osasuna Lamah has also seen yellow.
    • 81' Pique has picked up a booking here.
    • 80' Barca have turned this around! It's a lovely finish by Messi as Jordi Alba rolls the ball in from the left and the World Player of the Year sweeps it into the bottom corner first-time. Beautiful finish, and Barca now lead.
    • 79' GOAL! Osasuna 1-2 Barcelona (Messi)
    • 78' Osasuna sub: Timor on, Sisi off
    • 77' Osasuna's Punal has been sent off for protesting the decision to award Barcelona's goal.
    • 77' Barca equalise, but it's not without controversy. Osasuna were obstructed by the referee in midfield as Messi won the ball and drove forward. The ball found its way out to the right to Pedro, and then Alexis, who found Messi to slid the ball in from close range.
    • 76' GOAL! Osasuna 1-1 Barcelona (Messi)
    • 75' Barca sub: Villa on, Tello off
    • 73' Lamah has another effort saved after Sisi had cut it back. Those two have been the brightest of Osasuna's outfield players, no doubt.
    • 72' At the other end Messi threads the ball through to Alexis, who fires straight at Andres. Andres has been excellent today.
    • 70' What. A. Miss.. Nino spuns a golden chance to put the game to bed, moments after coming on. Busquets was caught dwelling on the ball and Nino raced towards Valdes but could only find the outside of the post.
    • 68' Osasuna sub: Nino on, Llorente - the goal scorer - off
    • 67' Sisi is proving a real handful for Barca. Busquets eventually fouls him, but Puyol was trying his best!
    • 66' So close to a second for Osasuna! Lamah leaves Alves in his wake as he drives into the box but drags his left-foot shot achingly wide of the far post. 2-0 probably would have sealed it, but Barca are hanging in there.
    • 65' Barca sub: Pedro on, Fabregas off
    • 64' Lamah goes for goal from 30 yards, but his effort is blocked and loops up for a corner, a corner that Barca are able to clear.
    • 63' Sisi goes close! Puyol carelessly gives the ball away on the edge of his own box and Sisi's low drive is held well by Valdes.
    • 62' Messi swings his right foot at the ball from the edge of the box, but Andres saves comfortably to his left. Messi has been quiet too.
    • 61' Raoul Loe has been magnificent for Osasuna. Intercepts another ball on the edge of box - has really kept Iniesta quiet today.
    • 60' Pedro is warming up for Barca...
    • 58' Puyol clatters into Osasuna dangerman Sisi, but no card despite the home crowd baying or one.
    • 56' Barca just lacking their usual incisiveness going forward. Iniesta loses the ball on the edge of the box yet again.
    • 54' Osasuna are battling for absolutely everything here. Barca drive forward through Fabregas and then Alves, but both run into a brick wall.
    • 52' Alves lucky not to go into the book for a cynical trip on Sisi.
    • 51' Osasuna have contained Barca really well here. Barca's key men have all been quiet, Vilanova will need to think about subs early on to change things...
    • 50' Alexis does well to hussle Damia into conceding a corner. Messi's ball in is punched clear by Andres.
    • 49' Alba has limped off to receive treatment, but he looks like he'll be ok.
    • 48' Osasuna's Raoul Loe is booked for a foul on Alba.
    • 47' Alexis fires a dangerous ball in from the right, but Andres gets a strong hand to it and the danger is gone.
    • 46' We're underway in the second half.
    • HT @Gasmuttai on Twitter: "Barca created chances, played well, but Osasuna took the deserving lead. They defended well, especially marked Messi well so far" Tweet me
    • HT @RevDickson1 on Twitter: "I think Barca will come back and beat them 3-2" Tweet me
    • HT @Griffno10 on Twitter: "One of the poorest performances from Iniesta I've seen in a long time" Tweet me
    • HT Barca have had their chances but Osasuna deserve their lead at the break. Plenty for Tito Vilanova to tell his players... An interesting second half awaits. Tweet me
    • HT Osasuna 1-0 Barcelona
    • 45' Chance for Barca! Fabregas wins a free kick and quickly rolls it to Messi, who lets fly from 20 yards. Andres saves the inital effort and gets up quickly to deny Iniesta on the follow up.
    • 44' Barca half clear the corner to Lamah, who hooks a speculative effort over the bar from 20 yards.
    • 43' Lamah gets the better of Alves again and wins a corner.
    • 42' Osasuna keeper Andres is doing kick ups as he waits for Tello to close him down. Cheeky!
    • 41' Iniesta is getting plenty of space - and that's bad news for Osasuna. This time he tries to play in Tello when Jordi Alba's run down the left wing was the better pass.
    • 39' Tello keeps the pressure up by winning a corner... Osasuna clear but only as far as Messi on the right, but his cross is straight into Andres's arms.
    • 38' Chance for Barca! Iniesta spots the run of Messi, who takes the ball around Andres but strikes the side-netting from a tight angle.
    • 37' Sanchez sprints down the right and feeds Alves on the overlap, but Alves's cross is high and far too long for anyone. Waste.
    • 35' Busquets is booked for a foul. That was a little more clear cut.
    • 33' Damia is booked but, I must admit, I'm not sure why... Could have been something he said.
    • 31' Barca are all over the place at the back, and that came after Iniesta gave the ball away.
    • 30' Osasuna come so close to a second! Lamah drives down the left and has his effort saved by Valdes. The ball falls to Llorente, who then has two effort blocked by Pique before Barca clear.
    • 28' Flag is up again, this time against Tello. Osasuna will get caught out sooner or later...
    • 27' Sisi sees yellow for obstructing a free-kick.
    • 26' Iniesta should score! Alexis the danger again as he cuts the ball back to Iniesta, who fires over from 12 yards unde pressure from Arribas. Huge let-off for Osasuna.
    • 25' Alexis drives into the box from the right and lays the ball back to Iniesta, but his view was obscured by the referee as he lined up his shot, which was eventually blocked.
    • 23' There's a tremendous atmosphere inside the El Sadar stadium. Barca finding it difficult to adjust here.
    • 21' Iniesta plays another dangerous through ball towards Messi, but Arribas is alert to the danger.
    • 19' Barca look to respond immediately as Messi feeds Tello to his left, but Tello's right-foot effort is saved by Andres and headed clear by Flano.
    • 18' How about this? Lamah scampers down the left and whips a cross towards Llorente at the far post, who gets behind Jordi Alba to tuck away a side-foot volley. 1-0 Osasuna.
    • 17' GOAL! Osasuna 1-0 Barcelona (Llorente)
    • 16' Messi is flagged offside but he was ONSIDE. He would have been clean through, and surely would have given Barca the lead.
    • 14' Barca hit the post! Iniesta lays the ball to Tello, who cuts inside and drives an effort towards goal, but Andres touches it onto the base of the post.
    • 12' Iniesta whips in a dangerous cross from the left towads Puyol, who was still up from the previous corner, but he is unable to head the ball back into the danger area and Osasuna clear.
    • 10' First Barca effort at goal from Iniesta, who powers an effort from the left corner of the box. But the ball keeps on rising high over the bar.
    • 8' Barca are slowly waking from their slumber, but Vilanova is standing at the edge of his technical area not pleased with what he's watching.
    • 6' Iniesta is robbed of possession in the middle of the park. Barca need to wake up, with Osasuna looking bright.
    • 5' Puyol looks for Alexis with a long ball but puts it straight out of play.
    • 4' First Barca chance as Iniesta threads the ball through to Alexis, who drives forward but shoots straight at Andres.
    • 3' Osasuna doing the early pressing here, as Barca struggle to get out of their own half. Valdes is yelling at his defence as Barca start slugglishly.
    • 2' Valdes is forced into an early save from Cejudo, who jinks into a shooting position in the box but the Barca keeper makes a crucial stop!

  1. I think A. Song would have his own day to play within the Barca matrix-like of football, but Barca is a delight to watch, Messi makes it look simple...Bravo!!

  2. Get off the hate train and enjoy the good football. no dirty tackles just football.

  3. Teams sit so deep against Barca and they have so many players running into space, it makes it very difficult for the linesmen to see make the call correct every time. marginal in any case, with Pedro coming back inside with the ball for the first goal. No one ever mentions the times Messi is through only to be flagged offside even though he wasnt - knowing him he'd probably have scored from those chances. As Macherano said during the week - irrespective of the score against Madrid, they were all over them and only a die hard Madrid fan would say Barcelona didnt deserve to win 4-1 at least. Enjoy the good football while its here, and enough of the hating.

  7. For anyone who actually watched the match, two clear and one marginal onside attacks were nullified by sloppy linesmen. The last would have sent Messi free with no one to beat by the goalkeeper. All that, despite a fairly lacklustre match by Barca before the entrance of Xavi, Pedro and Villa. Osasuna did a good job, but they didn't deserve a point. After the terrible heat of Thursday night, I'm just happy that Barca had any energy at all. I live in Barcelona and it's been suffocating just to sit in the shade, let alone play great football with quick combinations and lots of off-ball movement.

  8. all you #$%$ haters who dont know what the hell your talking a bout get the hell out of Barca's page. if you don't know nothing about football than why dont you shut up. for your info: this ref is known as the anti barca ref. in 10 matches he has given madrid 9 penaltys and only one to Barca. And belive it or not Barca is the bast team in the world. all you basterds know is to score a goal and start defanding the rest of the time. non of yours engish football team can attack as barca does. not even your arsenal man city, united or all time cheaters the #$%$ CHEATSEA. so you can all put suck in it Viva BARCELONA

Well now they´re robbing the games again, like all these past years. Last week it was a Real robbery against Valencia, this time it´s a Barça pickpocketing agains Osasuna, so that next week it will be Real muggler again, and round and round it goes. They not only steal the rest of the clubs´ money, they also buy refferees to assure the title fight for themselves. How miserable and corrupt Spanish Liga is. Ps. I´m a Real Betis fan born in Seville
