Ipswich Town vs Sheffield Wednesday17:04 A breathless afternoon of Championship football comes to an end with 31 goals being scored in all. QPR and Blackpool have gone into the playoffs, Peterborough have gone bottom, while Plymouth Argyle have climbed out of the relegation zone.
17:01 They can't, it's all over!
17:00 It's finished at Watford and that means just one match is still playing, can Leicester get an equaliser?
16:58
All over at Blackpool and Nottingham Forest.
16:58
Goal for Leicester! Is this a comeback? Two minutes to go and Bruno Berner has got a goal back!
16:57
Full time whistles are being sounded throughout the Championship. It's all over at Palace, Newcastle, Plymouth, Reading and Sheffield Wednesday.
16:55
Blackpool's excellent home form continues, Alex Baptiste has made it 4-1.
16:53
Another goal at the City Ground and Bristol City have equalised! Danny Haynes lashes in a volley from 6 yards out. A terrible first 80 minutes, a frantic last ten.
16:49 We are entering stoppage time.
16:48
Forset are ahead! Free kick from the right isn't dealt by City and it falls to big Wes Morgan who fires the ball into the back of the net! The deadlock is broken!
16:45
QPR get themselves ahead! Kaspar Gorkss with a firm near post header from a corner from the right; that puts the Super Hoops back into the playoffs.
16:43
Peterborough have got a goal back at the sportsdirect.com@St James Park. Dean Keates has grabbed a consolation for the Posh.
16:40 About ten minutes to go in the Championship.
17:38 If that isn't going to go in, then surely this match is going to end goal less? (I'm hoping to inflict the commentator's curse)
16:38 Miss of the season/save of the season? Paul Anderson two feet out sees his effort saved by the Louis Carey's groin.
16:35 Should results stay as they are, Blackpool with jump into fourth place, a good day at the office for them.
16:35
Three one Blackpool! More misery for Scunthorpe, Ben Burgess has grabbed a third.
16:33
Two one Argyle! Jamie Mackle bursts into the area, he shoots at the keeper and it falls to Rory Fallon who has an empty net to shoot at. Two wins in a row are on the cards for Argyle!
16:30
Two one Blackpool! All sorts of problems for Scunthorpe, their keeper Joe Murphy has been sent off for handling outside the free kick, Sam Slocombe comes off the bench and into goal and the first task he has is to pick the ball out of the net, a brilliant free kick from Charlie Adam. ItÂ’s all turned around at Bloomfield Road.
16:27 Darren Ambrose is having a terrific season, the most he has ever scored in a seaon is 11, that goal was his tenth.
16:26
One nil Palace! The dead lock is broken! Alan Lee crosses into the box, Derry knocks it down and Darren Ambrose runs onto it to shoot past the keeper, he made up 70 yards to get into attack there.
16:22
Blackpool equalise! Ian Evatt nods the ball past the keeper to notch his second goal of the season.
16:19 A good opportunity for Middlesbrough. They have a three on one situation and Leroy Lita messes it up. He sprints to the by-line and cannot pick out any of his team mate; that should have been the breakthrough.
16:16
Three nil Newcastle! Surely Danny Simpson didnÂ’t mean that? He is celebrating like he did though! 45 yards out he hits a cross come shot and it flies over Joe Lewis in the Posh goal.
16:15
One nil Blackpool! Finally a breakthrough at Bloomfield Road. Paul Hayes dinks the ball past the goalkeeper at the back post. Against the form book here, Blackpool have won their last six at home.
16:13
Red card at Home Park! Very confusing affair though. Martin Woods is wearing his third different shirt of the afternoon and it takes the referee a while to work out if he was the player he booked in the first half. He finally realised he had and Woods is given is marching orders. Doncaster down to ten men.
16:09
Reading equalise! Whatever Brendan Rogers said at half time it worked. The Royals have had three excellent chances already in this half and they finally get what they deserve through Simon Church.
16:07 The potential WAGS watching Middlesbrough will not be impressed so far. They are playing out a dull nil nil with Palace.
16:05
We're back underway!
16:01 So these half time scores mean that as it stands Ipswich would be out of the relegation zone with Peterborough sinking to the bottom of the division. QPR meanwhile would reclaim their playoff position which was pinched from them by Swansea earlier on today.
15:53 Peep-peeep-peep. Half time whistles ring out all around the Championship grounds.
15:51 OOOoooo, the Preston bench thought it was in! John Parkin's strike goes just wide.
15:50 Reading have done everything except score, they have struck the post and Jobi McAnuff has headed just over.
15:48 So that leaves just the matches at Bloomfield Road and Selhurst Park goalless.
15:46
West Brom have got another! What a strike from Gonzalo Jara! He travels into the Leicester half, everyone backs off, he hits it from 30 yards and it flys into the back of the net; what a way to score your first goal for the Baggies!
15:44
One nil West Brom! Graham Dorrans has grabbed it! Jerome Thomas is hacked down 25 yards out and Dorrans pings in the free kick. It travelled a long way, the keeper should have done better.
15:40 Matty Fryatt goes close for Leicester, he heads just wide.
15:38
A second goal for Watford! Tom Cleverley, on loan from Manchester United has finished smartly at the back post following a cross from the right. Watford deserve it.
15:35
Goal scoring hero Jonas Gutirrez has pulled up with an injury; he has been replaced by Ryan Taylor.
15:32
Evander Sno has the best name in the division and it is now in the referee's notebook; the City midfielder picks up a booking for unsporting behaviour. Not much else to report from the City Ground.
15:30
Doncaster equalise! Two minutes after going behind Donny even things up, Dean Shiels has got it.
15:28
One nil Plymouth! A well worked goal is finished off by Alan Judge at the back post, that means Argyle climb out of the bottom three.
15:26 One way traffic at Vicarage Road, Cleverley and Helguson have both gone close.
15:23 You have got to fear for Peterborough United; Darren Ferguson's men have only scored five goals away all this season.
15:22
Two nil Newcastle! Andy Caroll rises highest at the back post and doubles the Magpie's advantage.
15:21
One nil Newcastle! Wonderful goal from Gutirrez! He picks the balls mid way in PoshÂ’s half, nothing develops for him so he goes it alone, beats a couple and flips it over the keeper.
15:18 A five minute goal bonanza in the Championship!
15:16
One all! A rapid response from Wednesday. Potter wraps his magic wand of a left foot around the ball and crosses to the back post to Jermaine Johnson who finishes well.
15:15
One nil Watford! They have started well and they have got their reward. Good cross from the right and Heidar Helguson rises high at the back post to loop a header back over the keeper's head.
15:14
Big John Stead has broken the dead lock at the Madejski. A long throw into the box isn't cleared and Stead hooks his leg around the ball and guides the ball into the net. ONE NIL IPSWICH.
15:12
One nil QPR! Jay Simpson has got it!
15:11 West Bromwich Albion will have to deal with the in form Matty Fryatt of Leicester City. The FoxesÂ’ fox in the box has bagged 9 goals in 15 matches.
15:10 Newcastle looking good at the sportsdirect.com@stjamespark stadium, Nolan just put a cross come shot across the box, a good effort, just wide though.
15:05 Gordon Strachan has become a hit with the women of Middlesbrough after he hinted more of his players should get married. "Emmanuel Pogatez is one of only three players who are married, thatÂ’s quite unbelievable. You need responsibility in life...it was a shock," said Strachan. Do you want to be a WAG? Then get up to the North East!
14:59 The players are on their way out of the changing rooms, hold on to your hats, it's nearly time for kick off!
Top of the table Newcastle United will welcome Peterborough United to their newly named directsports.com@St James Park. Posh's fans will be able to tell the Toon Army fans about a change in tradition; until a few years ago them and Barcelona were the only teams in Europe without a shirt sponsorship. If you have any views be sure to e-mail us on directsports.com@stjamespark.net.
As I have just mentioned, Swansea have beat Cardiff City in a 3-2 thriller.
At the other end of the table, Leicester will jump into second place if they beat the current occupiers of that spot, West Brom. Seven different clubs could end up in the playoff positions tonight. Swansea have just jumped over QPR into 6th place, but the Super Hoops will take that place back if they beat Sheffield Wednesday away. Blackpool, Middlesbrough, Preston, Nottingham Forest and Watford could also get themselves into the playoffs.
On our fixture card today we have two early season relegation six pointers at the Madejski between Reading and Ipswich and at Home Park between Plymouth and Doncaster. After miserable starts to the season the Royals and Tractor Boys both picked up three points last time out and will be looking to kick start their season today. Argyle and Rovers are also coming off the back of good results; Plymouth winning away at Middlesbrough and Donny drawing with Blackpool.
Good afternoon and welcome to Eurosport-Yahoo's LIVE coverage of today's Championship matches. There is just half an hour 'til kick off in the 3 o'clock matches, but there is just 15 minutes left in the Welsh derby between Cardiff and Swansea.
