  2. Do you follow the UEFA competitions at all? If so,­ you must have heard of FC Porto, the 2003 UEFA Cup (now­ called Europa League) winners and 2004 UEFA Champions­ League winners, under the guidance of Jose Mourinho,­ the current Real Madrid coach. What about Sporting CP­ aka Sporting Lisbon, finalists of the UEFA Cup in 2000?­ Actually, last season Sporting knocked Manchester City­ out of the Europa League. Not to mention that players­ like Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani and Luis Figo all came­ from Sporting's youth academy, which is considered­ one of the best in the world. These 3 clubs (Benfica­ included) are the main Portuguese clubs and I find it­ hard to believe that you only heard about Benfica,­ given their constant presence in UEFA competitions. ­ But I hope my (brief) introduction's helped. :-)
