16' @alexchick81: This British football still feels like some sort of lab experiment, like growing a human ear on the back of a rat.

45′ Were #$%$ on our own as England, Even worse when we become GB. Now as for the officials at the match OMG if this is the way its going to be, I`m glad I only watched it on TV and didnt pay crazy money for a ticket. Roll on the embarrassing opening ceremony tonight which has cost £29M Let the world see what we provide as a Nation. LOL
what a #$%$ selection. cant believe he picked #$%$ giggs over becks
First of all it was never a penalty. Bellamy has kicked it out into touch already. Yes it was a foul and Senegal Guy could have been booked / sent off but you are not denying scoring opportunity as the ball is gone. Second Team GB still plays in slo-mo and pretty inco-ordinated. Giggs can't run anymore and that is from United fan. Problem is in United team he doesn't need to cover this much ground as there is quality around him. Team GB is no more than England and Wales rejects. Senegal dominated the game although they themselves are extremely limited in terms of ability. What they lack for they make up in SIZE and strength. Micah Ricahrds looked Dwarfed between Senegalese defenders.
Well maybe Beckham should have been in, but how many of those so called "tackles" Ha Ha, could he have taken. Yes Giggs was bad, but still has a bit of class about him. But as with all of our teams. England, Ireland, Sctland and Wales we lack class and the ability to hold the ball up. We also lack class finishers largely I feel to the over population of foreign players in the Premeirship. Until we give our own youmg talent a fair crack of the whip in top flight football we will always come up second best. Good luck to Team GB, men and women in their next games. And as for the crowd booing Bellamy and then giving him a standing ovation it says it all doesnt it?
Giggs was shocking all game not because he,s english or welsh . But past it.And fergie thinks he will get another two seasons out of him, Good luck with that one.
This is pretty typical, when GB was winning Giggs and Bellamy were stars, after Senegal equalised..."they never should have picked the Welsh players", "if it were only English players they'd have won", just like when Colin Jackson was winning gold he was British, but when he lost in the finals all of a sudden he was described as Welsh.
Man of the match for senegal RYAN GIGGS. He even managed a pass in there move for the equaliser, Beckham was robbed of a place.
That referee and his linesman should not be allowed th officiate at a schoolgirl netball match let alone an Olympic Football game. But I suppose you can only expect that with referees from countries who level of football is not world class. The officials should look at his refereeing and chuck him and his linesman out, but they wont. The guy was either blind or stupid or both or ? It will go down as the worse refereeing decision in the history of football. But it was not just that decision,he allowed Senegal to get away with their brutalitiy throughout the whole game.I am not saying that Team GB were the better team, but a penalty would have meant game over. One other point Giggs was bloody alwful.
Sorry but the draw was a fair result....I do think that without a more secure referee then Senegal will be involved in serious injury headlines........not good.
Istina Boli - I see your poisonous bigoted existence continues, can you not afford a fix is that why you are such a miserable cow........
Come on, you know GB was doomed the minute they snubbed Beckham.
I love it when people on here who have never played football use expressions like "tactically naive".
Just watched team GB , ive never seen such a synical side should have had 3 sent off, Absolute stonewall penalty(and sending off) ref... #$%$ Lino BOTTLED IT. 4th OFFICIAL WHO!!!! Sportsmanship forget it blown away in one match and the games have not started properly yet.
Yes we know the team weren't entirely match sharp, they've played one game together and they are playing in pretty hot conditions. Of course Senegal were going to look sharper. Shame it didn't show in the timing of their tackles. GB should clearly have had a penalty and the guy should've seen a straight red. How the ref gave nothing I can only imagine the size of his brown envelope. Plus some of their other tackles were awful. If they come up against a ref who hasn't been bought they will be lucky to finish games with 8 men on the pitch playing like that.
There is no disrespect in not singing the anthem. It is not mandatory. I doubt every english player sings the national anthem each match, in fact I know they don't.
Well done Senegal - congratulations !
Can someone answer me a couple of questions? Every Team GB Athlete should know the National Anthem, hopefully every Team GB Athlete is representing Great Britain with pride and from the heart, they have worked hard, trained hard and made sacrifices to earn their right to represent Great Britain. So why are the mega rich footballers ignoring this great moment in history? All the Welsh contingent with Team GB football team totally disrespected our National anthem. Some members of that football team performed without passion or commitment, namely the over-aged players. Stuart Pearce was probably one of the most passionate players ever to pull on a shirt to represent his country, these so called players are showing disrespect to him as well as their Nation. Lets go back to amateurs and sponsorships and let these disgraceful over-paid morons rot in hell.
I disagree with the anti GB debate. GB is hosting the olympics and we should have a GB team representing us in a game that was invented in GB. It's just a shame the NI and Scotland FAs didn't play ball and a true GB team could not be selected.
team gb haha team joke stupid pearce should not be in charge giggs is he captain the pundits said he is playing a good game i wish i could watch the game they were watching it a goog job its group stages means we get bto play more than 1 game it was worse game i have seen a british team play
Why is everyone slating this. It is not a team we are placing our future on, It is about supporting our great british nation in the olympic games and encouraging them to achieve to the best of their abilities. Good luck Team Great Britain in all events!!
