GB play South Korea, Senegal face Mexico. And Uruguay - so disappointing - join Spain on the scrapheap.- 90+6 Suarez to take the free-kick, the last kick of the game and if anyone can he can - on target but Butland stops it and catches it dead.
90+6 Now Uruguay have a free-kick after Suarez is caught, 25 yards out... Britain through whatever happens, but concede and they may come second. All a bit complicated. A sub to waste time as Sturridge applauds the crowd, Dawson on.

- 89' All kinds of pushing and shoving, Coates shirt-pulling and GB are getting the hump. They need to stay disciplined, this is classic LatAm gamesmanship.
- 88' Uruguay break, men over here as Lodeiro is in on the right, low ball in but hacked behind for a corner. Cavani is causing trouble again, he's a right whinger. The ref has done well to keep these ladies in check.
- 87' GB on the counter from that free-kick! They have men over as Sturridge races away on the right! He has Rose with him but ignores the Spurs man and shoots but tipped behind for a corner! Good save.
- 86' The ref awards a soft free-kick to Uruguay for a high boot from Ramsey; he's then lenient on Allen though, who clobbered his man. Free-kick Uruguay some way out, again Suarez aims for Coates but cleared.

- 76' Suarez actually caught that as he flew in with Butland and co. Still, hairy moment for GB as Uruguay ask questions of their defence.
- 75' Ramirez with the free-kick but straight to the head of Cleverley. Now Cavani on the leftm superb cross and Ramirez heads it down for Suarez flying in but surely a handball? Yes, and a booking.
- 74' Allen trips Aguirregaray on the Uruguay right. Free-kick as we enter the latter stages of the match, Britain appearing to tire.
- 73' Bellamy gives it away but Richards bails him out with a strong challenge. Now Suarez on the right flashes an ambitious shot well wide. Made mincemeat of Caulker but the angle was far too tight.

Swansea connection as Sinclar and Allen do brilliantly down the left, the former skisp away down the wing, feeding Allen who leaves two defenders for dead with a superb turn in the box before sliding the ball across for Sturridge to tap in. Fine goal!- 45' Nice turn by Sturridge but the shot is a bit wild, well over.
- 44' Finally Rodriguez returns, a bit Terry Butcher with the head-dress. Poor free-kick from Ramsey, straight on to Aguirregaray's head.
- 43' GB with a passing move that sees Bellamy freed down the right before Arias hacks him down. Booking? Not sure. Bellamy seems to think so.
- 42' Ramirez is on borrowed time as he shoves Butland following a high ball in from Suarez. Trying too hard to impress the suitors perhaps?
- 41' Poor corner, an attempted routine to Ramsey on the edge of the box but way too far ahead of him and he can only skim it wide.

- 15' Great chance for the Brits as the corner causes problems but eventually the Uruguayans scramble it clear! Everyone missed it, Richards was in there as was Sturridge.
- 14' Richards almost reaches the corner at the back stick but Coates nods it away for a second corner.
- 13' Great play by Ramsey to slip past one defender, and another, but they get men back in numbers and it's a corner.
- 12' More good football from the Brits as Sturridge feeds Cleverley, now Bellamy but a weak drive at the keeper.
- 10' Great play by Viudez but Rodriguez can't get on the end of the cross.
- 9' Suarez is jeered every time he touches the ball. This time Bertrand knocks it behind.
- 6' This is a decent start from the home side as Sinclair curls one in, too close to the keeper though.
- 4' Great play by the hosts as some cute passing releases Bellamy wide right, he volleys a dangerous cross in but Sturridge on the spin can't connect properly. Promising.
- 3' The Brits launch an atack of their own but Bertrand miscontrols on the left wing.
- 2' Good start from Uruguay as Suarez is booed while racing down the left. He almost combines with Ramirez but Caulker hoofs away.
1' The first half is underway!- 19:40 There were worries that Welsh fans would boo the national anthem, which is absurd and does not appear to have materialised. A bit odd that Giggs it out given it's his homeland bow for GB, but Pearce was impressed with Scott Sinclar against UAE and perhaps the veteran Giggs is feeling the strain.

I would say after these performances by Jack Butland that Joe Harte should be looking over his shoulder.
Amazes me why Stuart Pearce didn't get the England job after enabling his players to have control of the ball and getting 100% out of them playing attractive football as it should be played, And about the only guy there not up to it is Richards lol say's a lot for woys team dun it hohoho.!!!!!!
