    • - Thanks for joining us today... stay right there for Manchester United v Blackburn!
    • 90'+5 That's it! All over at the Emirates and it ends 0-0!
    • 90'+4 VAN PERSIE! What a strike from the Dutchman! But Fulop gets down well to make the save! So close to a late winner for Arsenal!
    • 90'+2 Gallas! Real chance to steal it at the death! But the Gunners skippers skews his shot well wide of the mark!
    • 88' One more Sunderland change... Edwards on for Jones, who frankly looks knackered.
    • 86' Bendtner! Oooh! Cracking strike from the edge of the box by the Dane, but Fulop is well behind it!
    • 85' Here comes another change... on comes Gibbs for Clichy.
    • 80' And then McCartney hauls down Eboue and another yellow is brandished.
    • 79' Ben Haim goes in on Vela from behind and that'll be another booking...
    • 78' Two more changes now, one for each side. Murphy on for Reid while Eboue comes on for Song.
    • 77' VELA! Oh no! Great chance wasted by the substitute! The ball falls to him at the far post, he controls it well but his shot is dragged wide of the mark!
    • 76' Sunderland make a change now... Leadbitter for Tainio.
    • 71' And perhaps a little frustration is creeping into Arsenal's play as Clichy goes into the book.
    • 70' Twenty minutes left, and other than RVP's effort just then, Arsenal have showed little sign they might break the deadlock this half.
    • 68' Oooh! Van Persie fires it in and Fulop is forced to punch clear! That was always going to cause some problems for the Sunderland keeper!
    • 67' Chance for Arsenal now, with a free-kick which Van Persie will take just in from the corner flag.
    • 63' Here comes Vela, and it's Arshavin who makes way, to a rapturous reception.
    • 60' Looks like it's time for something different for Arsenal... Carlos Vela is getting ready to make an entrance.
    • 58' Arsenal are still enjoying more possession than Sunderland, who aren't breaking with as much intent as during the opening period.
    • 55' Song shows his desite in the middle of the pitch, dispossessing Ben Haim before trying to find Van Persie... only he can't.
    • 53' Eduardo is spotted in the stands... the poor bloke doesn't look like he's enjoying the game too much. He should be out there....
    • 50' Van Persie does well to feed Nasri on the Arsenal left... but the Frenchman's cross into the box is easily claimed by Fulop.
    • 47' Let's hope for more of the same this half... the opening period was quite entertaining.
    • 46' No changes to tell you about at the break.
    • 46' Second half underway at the Emirates!
    • 45'+3 And there goes the half-time whistle to bring an end to an entertaining opening period! Still goalless though.
    • 45'+2 Fulop to the rescue again! A trio of Sunderland defenders get in each other's way and the ball falls to Toure who blasts goalwards! Fulop saves!
    • 45' What a great break by Sunderland! Richardson storms forward before feeding Malbranque... he crosses into Jones, who takes and touch, allowing Sagna to get back and make a telling challenge!
    • 44' Off the line by Reid! Toure rises to meet a corner with a thumping header only to see the man on the line do his job!
    • 42' The ball falls to Toure, on the edge of the Sunderland box... but the Ivorian drags his shot wide of the mark, without ever troubling Fulop.
    • 41' Bendtner goes down in the box! Penalty scream the crowd! Play on says the ref... the ball falls to Sagna, who lets fly! Deflected over the bar and Arsenal have a corner.
    • 39' And then Nasri joins him in the book for a little trip on Tainio.
    • 38' Richardson becomes the first player to go into the book... not the prettiest challenge from the midfielder, that one.
    • 36' Bendtner delivers a dangerous ball into the mixer... Fulop has to make a brave save!
    • 31' Clichy and Nasri link up well on the left hand side... but Bendtner and Van Persie get in each other's way as the ball comes into the box.
    • 29' Oooh! Arsenal close to opening the scoring! Arshavin delivers a great ball in which Bendtner does well to reach with a decent header of target! Fulop scrambles across to his left hand post to claw the ball round for a corner!
    • 28' Malbranque goes over to take it and draws the inevitable boos from the crowd... he is, after all, a former Spurs player.
    • 27' Jones gets the ball all on his own up front... but he manages to win a corner off Toure! That's all you can ask for is a situation like that.
    • 24' It's been an entertaining opening period to the game... chances at both ends.
    • 22' And now Whitehead strikes at goal! And again, Almunia is forced into action! Good little spell from the visitors here!
    • 21' Jones lays the ball off for Reid on the edge of the Arsenal box now... the Irish international unleashes a decent strike... over the bar!
    • 20' Toure and Malbranque slide into a challenge together... and the Sunderland man comes out worse off...
    • 18' Straight back down to the other end and again Arshavin is causing problems... he jinks inside for a second time in three minutes before letting off a cross-shot! It's poor this time though and the ball flies into the stands behind the Sunderland goal.
    • 17' Here come Sunderland, on a rare sortie forward... and speaking of rare sorties forward, it's Anton Ferdinand who is leading the attack! Oooh! Cracking strike by the defender and Almunia is forced to parry the ball back out...
    • 15' Arshavin again! Great effort from the number 23! He jinks inside and unleashes a crisp drive on goal that Fulop is forced to tip round the corner!
    • 11' Terrible defending from Sunderland... Ben Haim lets a Denilson through ball past him... Van Persie's in on goal! Must be! No! The Dutchman's dink over Fulop floats wide of the mark!
    • 9' Van Persie gets free on the the right... he gets to the by-line, but his cross into the middle is overhit and there's no one there.
    • 8' Arsenal have started well here... they're looking composed on the ball and Sunderland are struggling to even get a touch!
    • 6' What a start that would have been! Early signs are promising...
    • 5' Oooh! Arshavin goes mighty close to opening his account! The Sunderland defence opens up in front of the little schemer, who lets fly from 25 yards! The ball whistles inches wide of Fulop's post!
    • 2' There's a real sense of excitement surrounding Arshavin's debut today... the Russian has the potential to light up the Premier League...

  13. Have you lot forgotten that most of our top influencial attacking players are injured, what we need to do is be as close to villa or chelsea as we can.. Fabregas is our most potent player when it comes to assists and walcott and rosicky are not far behind. We don't need a new manager or 11 new players we just need our stars to come back. If our players are fit we're fighting for the title no doubt. I agree that there are players in the team that should not be there,,(Bendtner and Eboue) but they are squad players, if everyones fit they don't stand a chance of playing. We need to stick behind the team.

  18. Wenger should change his approach of games. He should learn to be sending strong messages to his players like Alex Ferguson does. In Man U,if u do not play to expectation you will find yourself in BENCH. Alex doesn't accept nonsense from his players. He yells if necessary. AW is always defending his mediocres players. It is hightime Song, Denilson and Bendtner became benchers on permanent basis if no improvement from them. Their system of play is not typical Arsenal styl of football. Their passes are not sharp enough to be in Arsenal squad.Look at Eduardo passes on the 16th,that is a true Arsenal stuff.Roma will punish you heavily if fails to improve.
