    • Blackburn Rovers
    • Everton
    • 90' All over at Ewood Park and it finishes goalless. It wasn't a classic by any stretch of the imagination, but both managers will probably go away happy with the point. Thanks for joining me!
    • 87' Diouf leaves the field to a warm reception. In his place comes Keith Treacy. This match is fizzling out rather. Nelsen is named man of the match, which is probably the right choice.
    • 77' Marouane Fellaini enters the fray at the expense of Jo for Everton.
    • 73' Pienaar breaks free inside the Blackburn box, but Warnock makes a vital block before he can pull the trigger.
    • 72' Teenager Rodwell makes way for Louis Saha.
    • 68' ROBERTS GOES CLEAN THROUGH FOR ROVERS...Lescott takes him left, but tries to shoot with the outside of his right foot and scuffs his effort into Tim Howard's hands.
    • 64' Nasty clash of heads between Gael Givet and Leon Osman. Givet comes off worse, but picks up a yellow card for the foul and is then forced to come off injured. Aaron Mokoena replaces him.
    • 61' Diouf sends over a cross from the left and SANTA CRUZ HEADS WIDE!! He must have read the last comment.
    • 60' Roberts is seeing a lot of the ball for Blackburn, but Santa Cruz has hardly been involved thus far.
    • 57' Cahill is back on his feet and looks to be OK. Blackburn are enjoying a good spell, but they have yet to create a serious opening.
    • 55' Cahill is hurt in an aerial challenge with Samba and is down holding his back. David Moyes does not look happy on the sidelines.
    • 51' Pienaar's cross is deflected and CAHILL HEADS STRAIGHT AT BROWN!!
    • 49' According to reports Grella was taken off with a groin injury. Everton try to string some early passes together, but Roberts is quick to close down and win his side a throw.
    • 46' The second half gets under way and we have a change to report. Sam Allaryce has brought on Tugay for Vince Grella.
    • 45' The half-time whistle sounds and the teams go into the break at 0-0. Blackburn have Brown to thank, with the keeper having made two excellent saves at either end of the half. Back in 15!
    • 44' Jo collects a long ball superbly on his thigh, turns inside Andre Oijer to make room for the shot...but his effort is very poor.
    • 39' WHAT A SAVE FROM BROWN!!! Pienaar meets a right-wing cross from Jagielka with a crashing volley from 10 yards that Brown somehow pushes away.
    • 35' Diouf trys to find a way round Joleon Lescott, but the big defender drops his shoulder and sends Diouf packing.
    • 31' Let's take some positives. Both sides are defending well and the crowd remain in remarkably good spirits considering.
    • 27' Not much to report I'm afraid. The ball is being ping-ponged back and fourth without much style or substance and aside from Jo's shot in the first minute we haven't come anywhere close to a goal.
    • 21' Free-kick to Everton just inside the Blackburn half. Leighton Baines swings over a skyscraping cross, but Brown gathers confidently. Not a great game this.
    • 17' Jo brings the ball down for Everton, but Ryan Nelsen is far too strong for the striker. He barges him aside and marches forward in possession.
    • 14' Keith Andrews gets the ball in space in a good central position, but he rushes his pass and the ball runs out for a corner.
    • 9' It's been a scrappy opening to the match, with neither side coming close to anything you might label attractive.
    • 5' Stephen Warnock pulls the trigger from 25 yards, but Phil Jagielka makes the block and Everton clear.
    • 3' Everton have made a lively start here and the home side are yet to put a couple of passes together.
    • 1' Away we go at Ewood Park, and within seconds JO SHOOTS FROM DISTANCE AND JASON BROWN MAKES A FINE SAVE TO PALM THE BALL BEHIND FOR A CORNER!!!

  9. Blackburn vs Everton - This has got to be a fixture to avoid on any given fixture list.
There seems to be alot of Evertonians happy with the mediocrity of it all now, clearly not expecting to offer any resistance to the inevitable conclusion that Arsenal will finish 4th again!!!
What a dull conclusion to the season.
