    • 90+3 That's the final whistle! Rovers snatch an unlikely win! Diouf is kicking off at something, not sure what or who...
    • 90+1 Poor Gomes, Samba was near post making a nuisance of himself but King was tight on him so Gomes should not have allowed himself to be dragged to his post. When the cross came in he was caught in two minds and missed it. Chris Samba is announced as man of the match.
    • 89' The corner is swung near post by Tugay AND GOMES FLAPS AND IT DROPS TO OOIJER WHO POKES IT IN! Rovers turn it around with two late goals and, after playing so well, Gomes messes it up AGAIN!
    • 88' Rovers come forward, Andrews on the right, he drags it back to the edge of the box and Jenas sliding in misses it AND WARNOCK HAMMERS IT TO THE ROOF OF THE NET BUT TIPPED OVER BY GOMES!
    • 87' Great run by Corluka, who is clipped by Warnock, free-kick Spurs on the right-hand side of the box... Swung over, it takes a touch off Woodgate and loops into Robinson's arms.
    • 86' Ooijer with a far worse challenge on Bent than either of Palacios's and Jenas questions why that was considered better than the ones which saw the former Wigan midfielder dismissed.
    • 84' Tugay plays it across to Samba who doesn't see Dunn, Spurs clear but it's with Diouf on the right and he swings a cross in that McCarthy dives in to meet but can't head on goal BUT SAMBA WITH A BICYCLE KICK straight at Gomes though!!
    • 83' SPURS SUB: Zokora on for Lennon.
    • 82' Corner to Bolton which Diouf takes and it seems to hit Keane in the midriff which is not a penalty though the crowd bays for one. The linesman gives a corner after Dunn and Jenas challenge... Spurs don't clear it, it bounces to Samba who brushes Woodgate off and drills it low across goal AND A SIMPLE FINISH FOR MCCARTHY! 1-1!
    • 80' Palacios slides in on Dunn, he pulls out before swinging a leg but Peter Walton buys Dunn's dive and Walton - in keeping with his performance today - shows him a second yellow card. Of course, Dunn is English, so he didn't really dive. That, my friend, is cheating.
    • 78' Palacios is booked.
    • 76' Ooijer plays it down the right for Diouf, who ambles forward and swings in a great knee-height cross and McCarthy dives in but he heads it wide of the near post! What a chance! On target and Gomes would have had no chance!!
    • 75' Spurs have had almost 60 per cent of the possession in this match and three shots on target to Blackburn's zero.
    • 74' Spurs are basically in control but - as they showed against Fulham - you cannot discount a late rally from Rovers so the London side really need a second.
    • 72' Corner cleared by Rovers. They've been less of a threat this half, probably on account of losing Roberts and Pedersen.
    • 71' Corner Spurs after Nelsen pokes it behind when he could have left it for Spurs.
    • 70' The fans are jeering as Modric threatens to take a corner from a similarly chalk-free position as the penalty, but he rolls it back to the correct position. I hope that was deliberate from the Croat.
    • 68' Keane comes forward, Rovers are standing off him, he goes wide to Lennon who beats Givet and smashes a low cross along the six-yard line but Bent and Keane can't get there and hacked away!
    • 67' Jenas to Corluka, back to Jenas again who gets beyond Givet and drills it low but no-one reacts quick enough and it goes wide of the far post! Bent or Keane should have attacked that.
    • 66' Samba is booked for shoving Jenas in the back.
    • 65' Assou-Ekotto plays a great low ball to Bent but he can't get there! In the build-up Jenas intercepted a Tugay pass with his arm, entirely accidentally and in exactly the same manner as Givet's "penalty". The fans are singing a song questioning Walton's knowledge of the game.
    • 63' ROVERS SUB: Tugay on for Mokoena. Palacios is still receiving treatment for what was actually a forearm smash from Mokoena, right in front of the ref too.
    • 62' Palacios runs into the back of Mokoena and he goes down holding his face... was there an elbow stuck out by the South African?
    • 61' It seems to have worked, Tugay is warming up... Lennon with a cross that's just too high for Bent.
    • 60' The Rovers fans are getting behind their team and making it clear that they want Tugay on the pitch...
    • 58' Keane with a mazy dribble but he's blcoked off before getting the shot away. Still with Spurs, Bent to Lennon wide, then Corluka to Bent, now Palacios who shoots but he gets it all wrong, well wide.
    • 56' Corluka gives it away to Diouf, but Andrews loses control of the ball and Spurs can attack again.
    • 55' Samba is not needed though, headed clear by Givet and Rovers can break...
    • 54' Mokoena heads behind for a Spurs corner. Samba trots back to put his height to good use...
    • 52' Rovers are doing well with the high balls looking for Samba, who almost puts McCarthy through...
    • 50' Referee Peter Walton is arguing that part of the ball was touching the penalty spot and that, therefore, he was correct to allow the goal. Close-ups are inconclusive: it looks to me that the ball was not touching the penalty spot, unless you count the bits of paint spreading out into the grass due to wear and tear. So there is some ambiguity here - there should have been none for awarding the penalty though.
    • 49' Samba gives away a free kick, which one can expect of a 6'5" centre half playing up front. The reason for this change, by the way, is that Roque Santa Cruz is still injured and there were no actual strikers on the bench: Samba is such an aerial threat that Allardyce clearly felt it more prudent to send him up front than go 4-5-1.
    • 48' Long ball, high down the middle and Woodgate lets Samba get behind him, he flicks it across to McCarthy who holds it up for DIOUF WHO CAN SHOOT but he can't get it away and Spurs survive.
    • 46' Second half underway.
    • 46' BLACKBURN SUB: Jason Roberts has a foot problem and is replaced by Andre Ooijer. It seems that Ooijer will play centre half and Chris Samba go up front as a big lump of a centre forward.
    • 45+3 Half time, 1-0 to Spurs but all the talk will be about that penalty.
    • 45+2 Rovers have a throw on the left, Givet to take... long into the box and Samba flicks on for WARNOCK WITH THE DRIVE but wide!
    • 45+1 Another corner to Spurs as we enter two minutes of injury time... good delivery by Modric from the right and Woodgate flies in but heads wide! Nelsen was alongside him and seemed to put him off just enough.
    • 45' Corner to Spurs on the left, Modric plays it to Palacios on the edge of the box and he has a pop but it goes into the group of plays and Blackburn survive.
    • 43' Bensonmay doesn't care if it wasn't a penalty: "It's about time we had some refs on our side, poor or not its a GOAL!!"
    • 41' Spurs break again, crossfield to Lennon on the right but Givet does really well to close him down and block the attempted flick over.
    • 39' Sam Allardyce is a picture of rage as he has another yell at Peter Walton and ushered away by the fourth official. It was a foul on Jenas but there was no contact.
    • 38' An odd offside call against Blackburn when Assou-Ekotto was yards behind the play.
    • 34' Spurs come forward again, Keane into Modric who can shoot but delays and is outmuscled by Nelsen.
    • 32' The more one looks at that penalty decision the worse Walton comes off. It was not a penalty, his position was not great - he was behind the play and his vision was obscured by a melee of players, whereas the linesman Andy Halliday was right alongside it with a clear sight. Why not consult him? And why, for Pete's sake, let Keane take it from ahead of the penalty spot?!
    • 30' The ball isn't even on the spot, it's in front of it but Walton lets Keane take it anyway and the Irishman drills it low to Robinson's right into the corner for 1-0! A double gift from Walton. Weak refereeing, the mistake for giving the penalty you can take - even though the linesman kept his flag down, he was right in front of it too - but letting Keane take it from in front of the penalty spot? Poor.
    • 29' Lennon on the right, just outside the box and he crosses, Givet blocks and the ref gives a penalty! Shocking decision, his arm was flat by his side! If anything he tried to move it away behind his back. Penalty Spurs and Big Sam is fuming.
    • 27' Gomes with a roll to Lennon, dangerous but he gets clear and slides it wide, Corluka gets in on the right, he cuts inside and has a crack but side netting!
    • 25' ROVERS SUB: Pedersen cannot continue, he limps off and is replaced by David Dunn.
    • 24' Not good news for Blackburn as Pedersen goes down needing treatment...
    • 22' Break by Spurs, again they look wide to Bent who races past Givet to create space to shoot but this time he fires weakly at Robinson. Rovers win a throw on the left, again Pedersen to take it aiming for Samba... Great throw again and Samva causes all kinds of problems with King missing the header AND DIOUF MUST SCORE BUT A BRILLIANT BLOCK BY ASSOU-EKOTTO! Corner, but should have been 1-0. Pedersen is a bit of a Delap it seems.
    • 21' Long throw from the left and Spurs don't deal with it, flicked on by the foot of Roberts and Samba is in but he can't control in time to shoot, does well to win a corner though.
    • 20' Hoofed clear by Warnock but back with Spurs... up in the air again and McCarthy wins it, Diouf to Nelsen who goes long and surely that's a push by Woodgate on Roberts but a throw is given.
    • 18' Lennon plays it down the right but is caught late, play on, Palacios storms forward, beats Mokoena and slides it wide right to Bent whose first touch is excellent and he fires it low for the far post but a great save, tipped away by Robinson! Good use of the advantage by Peter Walton.
    • 17' Good ball from Pedersen looking for Roberts but King stretches to poke clear... now Diouf on the right crosses in for Roberts far post but Corluka nods it away and Spurs break...
    • 15' Blackburn escape their half but Woodgate and King are winning most of the aerial balls that Rovers like to play.
    • 13' Modric to deliver the corner from the left, he sends it near post AND KING WITH THE FLICK ON BUT ACROSS THE FACE OF GOAL BUT JUST BEYOND JENAS AT THE FAR POST! Closest chance so far.
    • 12' Assou-Ekotto plays it wide to Keane who is in on the left, goes back to Bent but Warnock slides in to intercept, it drops for MODRIC WHO SHOOTS but Warnock again blocks, it loops over for a corner.
    • 11' Good covering from Warnock to track back when it was taken short to Lennon. Rovers break and it's with Pedersen on the left, he digs out a great cross for DIOUF ARRIVING FAR POST but he heads wide! Good chance, although Robinson had it covered.
    • 10' The ref Peter Walton tells Mokoena to calm down after he goes in pretty high on Palacios. Could have been a card again but just a free-kick, 35 yards out.
    • 9' McCarthy is flagged offside after a flick from Diouf, it was close but correct.
    • 7' Warnock slides in late on Jenas but doesn't really catch him, hence the award of a free kick but no card. Could have been dangerous though.
    • 5' A fairly cautious start from both sides. Spurs would be happy with a draw but Rovers should be aiming to win this.
    • 3' Keane plays it back to Corluka who seems to take his eye off the ball and lets it out for a throw.
    • 2' Corner to Blackburn which Pedersen floats in and, through a crowd of bodies, Gomes punches away.
    • 1' Match underway!

    • - SPURS TEAM NEWS: Darren Bent recovers with mysterious speed after he was ruled out for England midweek, with Roman Pavlyuchenko again benched. Ledley "one knee" King is in the starting line-up after his rest during the international break, accompanied by Jonathan Woodgate at centre-half. Bentley, Huddlestone and Cudicini are again left out of the starting line-up.
    • - ROVERS TEAM NEWS: Keith Andrews is listed as playing at right-back for some reason, with Ooijer on the bench. Maybe Big Sam wants him to kill Luka Modric.

  5. Walton proves what a bad ref can do - decide the relegation battle! Blackburn arguably are almost safe after his terrible decision to send off Palacios. After the Italy v Irish game Keane incredibly insisted it was harder to play against 10 (as an Italian was sent off after 3 minutes!), well Blackburn certainly found it easier to play against 10, especially with the really poor Bent and ineffective Robbie Keane standing around watching their beleaguered defence. The Spurs boss Redknapp must feel angry with some of his players as well as the diabolical Peter Walton.
Credit to Blackburn for taking full advantage of the lifeline given to them by Walton, but this was robbery!

  9. I guess that Harry Redknapp one of the worsed coaches in primier
league. He does not have any game concept. And the most bad that at it is favourites and players whom he does not appreciate. Therefore Pav sits on a bench. As a supporter of Spartak , and it would be desirable to tell: Pav run therefrom. Even without game practice he has well played for a national team.

  19. Strange how gooners fans have to belittle themselves with comments on someone elses game.Blackburn fans have the bragging rights by all means.I don't care what goes on with other games, neither will i comment on them.SAD!!
