    • - Thanks for joining us today! Make sure you come back on Monday night for Newcastle's clash with Portsmouth!
    • 90'+5 And there goes the final whistle! All over at a rocking Ewood Park! And Blackburn take a huge step towards safety!
    • 90'+4 Blocked twice on the line by Andrews to keep Rovers' clean sheet! Bramble with the first header from a corner and then Kapo on the follow up!
    • 90'+3 Robinson gets the vote for man of the match, as announced by the tannoy system!
    • 90'+2 Robinson again called into action! This time, it's De Ridder who cuts inside and fires goalwards! Robbo is there to push behind for a corner!
    • 90' Four minutes of added time to be played...
    • 87' Wigan are pressing for a late consolation - credit to them - but this one looks like ending in Blackburn's favour... and what a three points it could prove to be.
    • 85' Villaneuva lashes an effort over the bar as time runs out...
    • 82' McCarthy now departs to rapturous applause... Villaneuva comes on to replace him.
    • 78' And Andrews comes on to replace Grella for Rovers...
    • 78' Wigan make two changes now... off go Watson and Figueroa and on come Kapo and De Ridder...
    • 75' Robinson again comes to Rovers' rescue, this time with a great save to deny Rodallega a sharp, low drive!
    • 72' Samba again heads goalwards! But again, his effort lacks power and Kirkland is able to make the save!
    • 66' WHAT A DOUBLE SAVE BY ROBINSON! First he denies Boyce from point blank range before stopping Valencia's follow-up! An almighty goalmouth scramble ensues and Dunn heads Scharner's header off the line! What a period of play!
    • 65' N'Zogbia! Ooh! The Frenchman directs a header inches over the bar!
    • 64' Dunn comes on to replace the tiring legs of Tugay...
    • 61' What a filip for Rovers! And Ewood is rocking now!
    • 60' GOAL! NELSEN GIVES BLACKBURN A TWO-GOAL LEAD! McCarthy delivers a wickedly-bending free-kick into the mixer where Nelsen flicks on with his head past Kirkland and into the back of the net! 2-0 now!
    • 59' Robinson dallies over what he thinks is a back pass from Nelsen - it's not, it's simply a poor shot from Figueroa - and Zaki nearly capitalises! In the end, Robinson falls on the ball!
    • 57' WATSON! Oooh! That could easily have been the equaliser! Watson latches onto Figueroa's clever little through pass before blasting goalwards! Robinson saves with his feet!
    • 55' SAMBA! Ooh! It's not the best header ever seen, but he gets there ahead of Kirkland... it comes off the back of his head and bounces wide of the post!
    • 53' Scharner and Samba go head to head in a race for the ball down on the near side... and the Wigan man wins it!
    • 50' Zaki tumbles under the challenge of Warnock... he wants a free-kick, but the linesman gives a free-kick the other way! A finger-wagging 50'from the Egyptian - not one to lack self confidence - follows...
    • 48' Warnock latches onto Tugay's little lay off on the overlap... but his first touch is heavy and Kirkland is able to claim at his feet!
    • 46' One change to tell you about... Amr Zaki is back! He returns to replace Mido for Wigan.
    • 46' Back underway at Ewood!
    • 45'+2 And there goes the half-time whistle! Blackburn head in a goal to the good!
    • 45'+1 GOAL! BLACKBURN TAKE THE LEAD! It's McCarthy who heads home from a corner as Kirkland fails to get there!
    • 43' Bramble meets it... Mido keeps it alive... but not for long and Blackburn clear to safety.
    • 42' Valencia does well to win another corner as the first half comes to a close....
    • 39' Oooh! N'Zogbia's delivery is good, right into the mixer, but it deflects off Pedersen's head for a corner! The Rovers midfielder really didn't know too much about that one then!
    • 38' Mido stays down for a minute, clutching his shoulder... but he'll carry on...
    • 37' Mido draws a foul from Warnock and now Wigan have a free-kick in a similar position to that of Blackburn's a minute ago.
    • 36' Bramble downs Samba with a high foot and Blackburn will have a free-kick near the corner flag... but Pedersen wastes it terribly and Wigan have a goal-kick.
    • 33' Samba runs onto a through ball... but he's a big man and far from twinkle-toed... the he tries to cut back inside, but the move loses momentum...
    • 31' Samba rises again to meet a long ball into the Wigan box... his effort is on target, but Kirkland is well behind it to make the save!
    • 27' Lovely from Wigan! Valencia plays in to Rodallega who lays off for Watson! But the former Crystal Palace midfielder lashes over the bar under slight pressure from Grella!
    • 26' N'Zogbia marauds forward now... he takes on Ooijer before firing on goal! Wide of the mark and into the advertising hoardings behind Robinson's goal!
    • 24' Chance for Rovers! Another long thow reaches Diouf who nods goalwards! Cattermole is there on the line to stop it, but he slips and falls over! There's not a single Blackburn player near the action though and Cattermole finally composes himself and hacks clear! Time seemed to stand still for a moment there!
    • 21' Warnock gets down to the by-line at the other end soon after... but Samba can't get any power on his header and Kirkland gratefully claims...
    • 18' But here come Wigan at the other end... and Warnock is forced to flick behind fore a corner...
    • 15' The crowd are responding the their side's decent start... it might not be pretty, but they're looking dangerous.
    • 12' And then Pedersen drags a shot wide of the far post! Three chances in quick succession for the hosts!
    • 12' McCarthy rises to meet the resulting corner and forces Kirkland to push behind for another corner!
    • 11' SAMBA! What a great cross from Pedersen, but the big man's effort is scrambled behind!
    • 10' Samba with a chance to get his head on another pumped ball into the box... but he opts to reach it with his boot instead and as a result, the chance goes begging.
    • 7' Wigan deal with this one comfortably, but it's clear that Blackburn will look to get it long at any given opportunity.
    • 6' Chance for a long throw into the box now... Samba will be the target...
    • 4' Replays show Warnock to have got a cruicial touch on that Valencia shot... one that took it onto the bar...
    • 3' OFF THE BAR BY VALENCIA! Straight down to the other end and the Wigan man skins Warnock before letting fly with a screamer that thuds back off the underside of the crossbar!
    • 3' McCarthy nearly gets his head on a decent cross into the middle by Diouf!
    • 2' It's a sunny day in the North-West, and there's a big crowd at Ewood to enjoy it.
    • 1' Here we go! Underway in Lancashire!
    • - For Wigan, Lee Cattermole returns to the midfield while Amr Zaki takes up a place on the bench after his stay-away spat with Steve Bruce.
    • - So, Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce makes the bold move of playing Chris Samba up front from the start... that should make things interesting for the Wigan defence.

  6. I once had respect for Allardyce for what he did at Bolton, Now after acting as Ferguson messenger and speaking lies about a fellow manager, I was hoping he'd take Blackburn down. How he can live with himself only he knows, but the lie him and Ferguson cooked up was beyond the pale. Sure he knows his football and for his budget he does quite well and now he has kept Blackburn from the Championship, which was where they were going, he has proved the effect he has may not be pretty but it's effective,

Big Sam for what you and Ferguson did against a fellow manager makes you a coward and any respect you were due has all been undone...

Good i'll be there watching your lot get 'another' 3-0 whupping; yup, that's right ANOTHER 3-0 WHUPPING because we've already handed you a thrashing once this season. How dare you call yourself a 'football fan' - with references like that to Southampton, you have just confirmed that you are a lowlife. Pompey are a great club, with great fans and i will not let the views of a cretin like you change my views. Newcastle United WILL beat Pompey tomorrow, but Pompey will thankfully stay up; and to all those tipping NUFC for relegation . . . go look at every club's respective run-ins and you will note that NUFC have the easiest run-in (if you can call anything easy at this stage of the season).
As for you stephenmackenzie158 - you shame football, and you shame Portsmouth Football Club.
