    • 38' Ronaldo takes a corner short and gets it back from Fletcher. Anderson slips it to the Scotsman down the channel and cross is met by Berbatov, but nobody can get in to his nod-down.
    • 36' Fletcher gets to the byline and chips the ball across for RONALDO TO HEAD... Straight at Jasskelainen! United find Fletcher again and this time he cuts it back to BERBATOV... Another great tackle by Cahill to dispossess the Bulgarian in the box.
    • 32' Davies's aerial challenge on O'Shea sees the ball fall to Makukula, who flicks it into the air for DAVIES TO STRIKE... Wide of the post. Van der Sar saw it all the way.
    • 31' Bolton are beginning to work their way into this match, with Basham and Muamba making their presence felt in midfield.
    • 28' Fabrice Muamba muscles Anderson off the ball as he marches forward. He looks up and STRIKES... Tipped over the bar by Van der Sar! Good effort from Muamba, the best of the match so far!
    • 25' Play is halted as stewards rush on to remove a man invading the pitch. He looks like a big, dumb oaf as he is carted off, safe in the knowledge that he'll never see his team play again.
    • 24' A long throw is catapulted into the United box. Makukula barges around as he fights for the secondball and is penalised. He has to watch his step.
    • 22' Makukula picks up his first booking in English football for a foul on Vidic. It could be said that's the footballing equivalent of a new prisoner picking a fight with a tough inmate in order to gain respect.
    • 20' Ricardo Gardner bursts down the left. He's got two men around around him but manages to squeeze off a shot from a tight angle, but it sails well over the bar.
    • 20' Bolton have a throw-in in the final third. Muamba swings at it and slices to the far post for DAVIES TO TRY THE OVERHEAD KICK... The shot is nowhere near the target and Evans can clear. Davies was offside anyway.
    • 19' Van der sar sends a drop-kick upfield and it falls perfectly for Tevez... who was JUST offside when the ball was played. Tevez would have been away there, and Van der Sar could be notched up an assist!
    • 17' Bolton have repelled United well enough so far, but they are yet to create anything of their own. Some neat one and two-touch passes almost see Berbatov in, but his balletic turn sees the ball overrun and go out for a goal-kick.

    • 13' Cristiano Ronaldo steps in well to dispossess Kevin davies on the wing and initiate a Unied attack. Fletcher sends a long ball forward for Tevez... Gary Cahill jumps in to head it out of Tevez's path.
    • 9' Tevez is stopped in his tracks by an offside flag. Makukula has spent the first 10 minutes of his Bolton career chasing the ball as it's knocked casually between United defenders.
    • 8' Berbatov feeds Fletcher down into the channel with a lovely ball, and Steinsson throws himself in front of the Scot to concede another corenr. Scholes's delivery is right into the hands of Jasskelainen.
    • 7' Anderson spreads the play out well toROnaldo and the World Player of the Year wins a corner off Gretar Steinsson. Bolton clear but are unable to break and United will build again from the back.
