    Bolton survive fightback

Two early goals by Bolton were enough to see them survive a West Ham fightback as they won 2-1 in their Premier League. More

    • 90'+2 THAT'S IT! BOLTON HANG ON! A tough-fought victory for the home side, who looked as if they'd win 12-0 after the first half-hour or so - but all credit to Zola's Hammers for fighting back and making a match of it. Thanks for joining us, and stick around for the rest of the day's football action from at home and abroad.
    • 89' West Ham still can find no way through, while Bolton have had everyone behind the ball for a quarter of an hour now. Two extra minutes to be played.
    • 86' All change for the Hammers, with Zola bringing on Freddie Sears. Just minutes later Bolton have a great penalty shout as Kevin Davies seems to be brought down, but the keeper says no.
    • 84' OUTRAGEOUS save by Jussi Jaskelainen, a terrific grab by the gloveman as Matthew Upson looked to pounce on the loose ball.
    • 80' Free kick to Bolton, but it hits the wall - and comes to nothing, with Green making a good save from Taylor after he pounced on the loose ball.
    • 78' Time must be running out for West Ham now - Carlton Cole makes a good run but is marginally offside and doesn't get a chance to shoot. But the Hammers know they can unlock the Bolton defence.
    • 74' More West Ham pressure now: Bolton seem to have given up playing - and WEST HAM ARE THROUGH! DI MICHELE IS THROUGH - BUT IT'S OFF THE LINE AGAIN! How did him miss?
    • 71' The ball pings around the Bolton box, but none of the visitors can get on the end of it.
    • 70' More pressure by West Ham yet another corner, and Noble drills it to the far end of the box.
    • 68' West Ham charge up again and earn another corner - it comes to nothing, but the Hammers' tails are up now!!
    • 66' GOAL!!!!!! THE HAMMERS HAVE PULLED ONE BACK!!! It's Scott Parker, running in to the box and getting on the end of a perfect low cross from Spector. Anything can happen now!
    • 64' It's Nsereko who comes on, with Collison the man to make way.
    • 62' Corner for Bolton, and Mark Davies shot in - but the ball is cleared off the line by the West Ham defence. Zola is about to make a change - let's see who comes on.
    • 60' Taylor hugely unlucky not to add to his tally there, as he pressurises Robert Green as the West Ham keeper takes a high ball - but the Bolton striker is judged to have pushed. The crowd are still chanting about a late tackle Elmander put in on Mark Noble a few minutes ago - it looked more worth a booking than the effort which got Noble carded.
    • 58' Both sides ping the ball back and forth up the pitch, but for the moment neither team is able to turn possession into clear chances.
    • 56' Mark Noble gets a yellow for a challenge on Puygrenier - he seemed to get the ball, though it was something of a lunge.
    • 54' Bolton squander a good, well-worked move through the middle as Steinsson goes right... and blunders his cross miles over the bar.
    • 51' Bolton come back up again, with Samuel knocking a good ball up to Taylor - who hits a lovely left-foot shot that forces a low, diving save from Green. He did fantastically well even to hit the target with that one.
    • 48' Lovely move from Bolton, with Kevin Davies getting on the end of the ball well inside the box - but he gets boxed in by claret and blue shirts, and can't turn to get the shot in.
    • 46' OFF THE LINE!!! Carlton Cole heads a corner goalwards for the Hammers - but free-kick scoring hero Matthew Taylor clears off the line with a great saving header!!!
    • 46' We're back in play at the Reebok Stadium. Can West Ham turn this round?
    • 45'+3 The half plays out relatively quietly. Bolton looked truly superb for most of that half, and well worth their lead - but the Hammers showed enough of their style characteristic recent style towards the end to suggest that they're not half as far out of this game as the scoreline might suggest.
    • 45'+1 We're in to added time now - of which there should be a bit following the goals and the earlier injury.
    • 44' The Hammers finding top gear now as the first half draws to a close, with some lovely build-up play around the fringes of the area. They can't quite get a decent shot away to cash in on the time on the ball, but it's a promising to end an otherwise disastrous half.
    • 41' Another chance for West Ham - they're getting their Mojo back a bit here - as Di Michele has a left-foot lob attempt that loops just too high over the bar.
    • 39' Di Michele squanders an UNEBELIEVABLE chance for the Hammers: he did all the hard work to be clear, onside and free on goal with just the keeper to beat from the right-side of the box. But instead of dribbling past or shooting low, he attempts the sort of loopy, curling inswinger that's a sort of Ronaldinho-esque attempt. Given the difficulty factor of the shot he does well to get it within eight yards of the target.
    • 37' Bolton get back in the West Ham box and Kevin Davies gets on the end of a corner - but he's simply far too short to do any damage from that sort of ball. Bless.
    • 35' A beautiful lob by Mark Noble almost beats Jussi Jaskelainen and gets one back for the visitors: that's probably as close as they've been so far.
    • 30' West Ham's fight back turns literal, as a mini-scuffle begins in the Bolton box as Jaskelainnen is helped to the floor while catching a corner. It blows over quickly and the ref thinks better than to start showing the contents of his pocket.
    • 26' Gianfranco Zola does not look a very happy man, as his players are still reeling - phsyically and mentally. Upson has just picked up another knock, and is struggling to run it off. What else can go wrong for the Hammers?
    • 24' Bolton keep on pressing their visitors back. They look excellent value for their lead so far.
    • 21' A ludicrous lunging two-footed hack from Matthew Upson sees him earn a place in the book of referee Steve Tanner.
    • 20' West Ham are fighting back in to the match a bit now - and they need to, considering the state of the scoreline. A nice attack builds through the middle, but is eventually cut out.
    • 17' They're dropping like flies now... another West Ham player needs treatment for injury: it's Scott Parker. Luckily for Zola he trots back on after a quick rub.
    • 15' It's a bad injury, and James Collins is replaced by James Tonkins.
    • 13' Taylor almost scores again with a lob, but the ball goes over - and a few moments later West Ham's Collins goes down with a nasty injury.
    • 11' That Matthew Taylor free kick was an absolute beauty. Only just outi... OH MY GOD THEY'VE SCORE AGAIN!!!! Kevin Davies cuts through the middle of the box and puts it straight past the hapless Green!!!! What a start for Bolton!
    • 9' Bolton come up the other end of the pitch and earn a dangerous free kick. It's Taylor to take - AND HE SCORES!!!! FABULOUS GOAL FOR BOLTON!!!
    • 7' Corner for West Ham after some nice work by Carlton Cole down the left, but the ball is cleared.
    • 4' A free kick for Bolton looks like it's delivered well, but just flies too far for any of the strike force to get on the end of it.
    • 1' We're under way here at the Reebok Stadium, and the home side are looking good already having forced an early corner.
    • - Good afternoon and welcome to our LIVE coverage of Bolton's Premier League encounter with West Ham. The teams are on the pitch and have shaken hands, so we should be under-way any minute.
