- 87' Diouf tries an outrageous curling effort to the far corner from the left, but it falls a foot or so wide!

84' ESSIEN!!! Fires a 25-yarder and Robinson dives to his right to beat it away.- 82' Offside against Malouda, who begins his sprint just a little early down the left wing.
- 80' Lampard delivers a corner from the Chelsea left, but Drogba domehow contrives to send a free header high over the bar!

- 22' Drogba is released down the left channel, Nelsen goes shoulder to shoulder with him and keeps him wide, and the Ivorian's shot goes well wide.
- 21' Anelka pulls back low from the left for Ashley Cole, who finds himself in an unusually advanced central position and shins his shot straight at Robinson.
- 20' This is a really open, attractive game - you simply cannot imagine it finishing 1-0.
- 19' SAMBA!!! Blackburn take it down the other end and Diouf clips a cross from the right that the stand-in striker heads over from close range!
- 18' LAMPARD!!! Runs on to an Anelka pullback from the right and sidefoots the ball against the crossbar!!
- 17' Grella sees a shot at the edge of the Chelsea box blocked, before Samba sends an acrobatic volley wide.

- 14' Emerton flings in a long throw from the Blackburn left, which is headed easily clear.

- 11' Bosingwa miscontrols and it is a Blackburn throw... Warnock crosses deep from the left towards Diouf, but sends the ball out of play.
- 9' Cole is in space overlapping on the left and middles for ANELKA!!! He fires a low shot straight at Robinson! That was a real chance...
- 8' Robinson boots a long clearance downfield... Carlos Villanueva chases after it but the ball bounces through to Cech.
- 7' Blackburn launch a free-kick into the Chelsea area and Terry heads clear. Diouf gathers the ball and crosses for Nelsen, whose header flashes over the bar.
- 5' That was a fine counter-attack by Chelsea with Bosingwa releasing Anelka down the right and his cross arriving perfectly for Malouda.
- 4' GOAL!!! Florent Malouda opens the scoring with a superb header!! Anelka crosses from the right and his fellow Frenchman buries a powerful header from 15 yards. Great goal.
