    Tottenham's hopes of playing European football next season were dealt a blow after a goalless draw against Everton at a soggy Goodison Park. More

    • 38' Defoe chases a long ball to the by-line... he gets there but his first touch is poor... he recovers to swing over a high cross into the middle, but Keane's not the biggest and he fails to get there.
    • 37' Redknapp, who is in the stands today, is barking instructions down the blower to Joe Jordan, who in the dugout....
    • 36' Cahill now falls to the ground following a bodycheck by Corluka... that's not a foul, and the referee agrees.
    • 35' Cahill is penalised for a high foot on Lescott... the Aussie doesn't like the decision, but then again, he wouldn't would he?

  11. Spurs should win but only if they sort out their­ finishing. Over the last few matches they have run­ rings around their opponents, had lots of opportunities­ to score, only to miss the goal mouth - only just -­ but close doesn't count in this game.

    Lets see­ some goals instead of those close misses. The fans­ deserve it and the players need it.
