    Time:90'
    • Everton
    • West Ham
    • 90' Phil Dowd brings this to an end. Everton win 3-1 in their final home game of the season thanks to two goals from Louis Saha and another from Joseph Yobo. If Villa fail to get a late goal against Boro, that will move the Toffees up into the fifth.
    • 88' Boa Morte is booked for a foul on Baines - returning the compliment from a few minutes ago.
    • 86' Noble shoots from the free-kick - but he skews it hopelessly wide.
    • 85' Everton clear, but then West Ham win a free-kick within shooting range on the edge of the hosts' area.
    • 84' West Ham win a corner.
    • 82' Everton are playing out time as they head for fifth spot in the table. Baines picks up a booking for a late tackle on Boa Morte.
    • 79' David Moyes has no sympathy for Saha and Cahill after those misses - he hauls the pair of them off, with Vaughan and Jo coming in up front.
    • 78' Saha had to score there - it would have been his hat-trick!
    • 77' The West Ham defence goes missing again as Saha is sent through on goal - but he shoots right-footed too close to Green, who makes a smothering save! The rebound comes to Rodwell on the right side of the West Ham box. The sub stands the ball up for Cahill at the far post - his header hits the turf, bounces up on to the crossbar, then gets hacked away!
    • 76' GOAL FOR EVERTON! Pienaar leaves Neill on toast on the left wing and squares the ball for Saha to tap into an empty net! Game, set and match to the Toffees!
    • 73' Stanislas makes a barnstorming run from the left flank and shoots low - but it's well saved by Howard.
    • 71' Upson heads away Pienaar's corner.
    • 70' Baines win a corner for Everton on the left flank.
    • 69' Everton make their first change: Rodwell on for Fellaini in midfield.
    • 67' Gianfranco Zola makes a third and final change. It's an attacking one, with the goalscorer Kovac coming off for Stanislas.
    • 66' Now Cole gets on to a long ball ahead of the on-rushing Howard, but the ball just gets away from the striker, allowing the Everton stopper to mop things up.
    • 65' Boa Morte misses a fantastic chance! The midfielder was clear through on goal thanks to defence-splitting pass from Cole, but he shot tamely straight at Howard as the keeoper raced off his line to close the angle!
    • 63' Carlton Cole does really well to cross from the byeline on the left after a throw - but there's no one there to get on the end of it. That's the trouble with playing one up front.
    • 61' West Ham appeal for a penalty! A West Ham player headed the corner goalwards and it struck Cahill on the arm! There's no question it hit the Everton man on the hand, but ref Phil Dowd thinks it's unintentional and waves away the visitors' appeals!
    • 60' West Ham win a corner after a counter-attack.
    • 59' Pienaar curls it towards the corner. But it lacks power and Green plucks it from the air.
    • 58' Everton win another free-kick on the edge of the West Ham box.
    • 57' Spector is booked for dissent after arguing about a decision from Phil Dowd.
    • 55' Boa Morte crosses the free-kick towards UPSON - but the defender heads straight at Howard! Anywhere else and he would have scored!
    • 54' West Ham get some respite as they win a free-kick inside the Everton half 40 yards from Tim Howard's goal.
    • 53' Still Everton drive forward. Baines crosses from the left for Cahill - but he can't get his effort on target.
    • 52' Saha takes the free-kick - but he thrashes it high and wide with his right-foot! Ambitious effort from the usually very left-footed striker!
    • 51' Everton are swarming all over the visitors as they look to kill the game early in this second half. The Toffees win a free-kick right on the edge of the West Ham box on the left for a foul by Neill.
    • 49' So close to a third from Everton! A cross comes in from the right and Saha heads it goalwards - but it takes a deflection and falls just wide of Rob Green's left-hand post!
    • 48' GOAL FOR EVERTON!! Peinaar's corner falls for Yobo at the far post. The defender takes a touch then side-foots the ball home!
    • 48' Everton force a corner on the left.
    • 48' But Noble wastes the free-kick - he overhits it straight into touch.
    • 47' West Ham win a free-kick in a promising position 40 yards from goal on the left.
    • 46' We're going again as the second half gets under way.
    • HT Welcome back. West Ham are making a double change at the break - both their starting strikers, Tristan and Di Michele, are being replaced by Carlton Cole, who's back from injury, and Jonathan Spector, who will slot into defence in the absence of the dismissed Tomkins.
    • HT The referee was at the centre of the action as he controversially sent off West Ham's James Tomkins for a foul on Tim Cahill. The Australian was in on goal - and the decision to give a penalty was definitely the right one - but Lucas Neill could have got back to Cahill I think, so the straight red was really harsh. Can Everton take advatange of their man advantage in the second period? Join us in around ten minutes to find out.
    • 45' Phil Dowd brings the first half to an end.
    • 44' Saha tries a curler from the edge of the box on the left - but he gets too much on it and it flies out for a goalkick.
    • 43' West Ham are sitting deep, trying to hang on till the break.
    • 41' But Baines drives the free-kick straight into the West Ham wall. That's a very poor free-kick.
    • 40' Boa Morte dives in with a poor tackle on the edge of his own box. This gives Everton a great chance to shoot from the resulting free-kick right on the edge of the West Ham box.
    • 38' Jacobsen crosses from a dangerous position deep in the West Ham half on the right but West Ham get it clear.
    • 37' ...and he slots it into the bottom corner to his left to equalise! And West Ham are down to ten men for the rest of this match.
    • 37' It's Saha to take the penalty...
    • 36' PENALTY TO EVERTON! And Tomkins is sent-off! Cahill burst on to a flick into the area from Pienaar and the West Ham defender tripped him! It was definitely a penalty, but the red card is harsh!
    • 34' But West Ham clear at the near post and look to break. But Boa Morte is fouled to stop the counter.
    • 33' Baines whips the cross in - but Kovac gets to it first and puts the ball behind for the first corner of the net.
    • 32' Everton win a free-kick 35 yards from the Hammers goal wide on the left. Baines will cross this into the box.
    • 30' Tristan has another shot from distance - it hits Di Michele and falls nicely into the Italian's a path in the Everton box - but the flag goes up for offisde! And Howard saves from Di Michele in any case.
    • 28' Di Michele and Tristan are isolated in attack, but they're causing the Everton defence problems when they have the ball at feet.
    • 27' Everton gift Tristan the ball deep in the Toffees' half. The Spanish striker drives a shot towards the near post from the edge of the box on the left, but it hits the side-netting.
    • 25' Saha clatters into Neill as the West Ham right-back clears the ball. The striker's lucky to avoid a booking. Everton are frustrated.
    • 24' The goal came against the run of play, and Everton will have to regroup.
    • 23' Wow - well it was a rocket of a shot from Kovac, and it may even have been 35 yards out, but the ball hit the back of the net towards the centre of the goal, so you have to question Howard's keeping.
    • 22' GOAL!! Kovac scores a stunner for West Ham! The midfielder picks the ball up 30 yards from goal and drives a shot in from way out! Tim Howard probably should have saved it.
    • 18' Osman picks the ball up in the middle of the pitch in the West Ham half. He dribbles to the edge of the box and drives a shot on target - but it's a nice height for Green, who parries the ball down, then picks it up.
    • 17' Now Tristan picks the ball up on the right wing and dribbles in towards the Everton box. He works a yard of space on the edge of the box - but then skews a shot miles high and wide.
    • 16' West Ham beat the Everton offside trap with a ball over the top from right to left by Kovac. It falls into Tristan's path, he tries to round Howard - but his touch is too heavy and the keeper just gets to it first.
    • 15' West Ham are struggling to get a foothold in this match so far.
    • 13' Fellaini heads a high ball down perfectly into the path of Osman, who's driving into the box on the right - but Osman makes a complete hash of his shot and the ball bobbles tamely into touch. Good chance though.
    • 11' Pienaar cuts in from the left wing and drives a rising shot towards the top left-hand corner of Rob Green's goal - and it goes so, so close! Brilliant strike from the little South African.
    • 10' Saha has been brought in for Jo up front today - no doubt with the FA Cup final in mind as the Brazilian is cup-tied for that competition. And that was a good effort there for the Frenchman.
    • 9' Saha picks the ball up on the edge of the box and drives a left-footed shot towards goal - and it flashes just wide!
    • 7' Tristan is caught offside again. It's too easy for Yobo and Lescott to catch him off there.
    • 5' Tristan is caught offside. Everton are playing a high line in defence, which can be risky. But with West Ham playing two 33-year-olds up front, David Moyes must think that tactic will work.
    • 4' Baines bursts forward down the left for Everton and collapses under a challenge on the edge of the West Ham box - but there's nothing giving from Phil Dowd, who waves play on. West Ham clear.
    • 3' Just one change for West Ham, with Collison coming in for Stanislas in midfield. Most of the play in the opening minutes has been in the Hammers' half.
    • 2' Everton have made three changes from the side that drew 0-0 with Spurs last time out - Gosling, Rodwell and Jo drop to the bench, with Osman, Jacobsen and Saha coming in.
    • 1' Ref Phil Dowd blows his whistle to get the game under way.
    • - ...or, as some might put it, the race to avoid a Europa League place. Either way, the sides are out and ready to go.
    • - Here it is. Everton-West Ham in the Premier League as the chase for a Europa League place hots up...
