    • 90+2 And that is the final whistle! Everton hold on to fifth with an impressive win while Fulham, despite defeat, are in Europe! That's right, Spurs were beaten by Liverpool and Roy Hodgson has taken Fulham from certain relegation to continental football in 16 months.
    • 90+1 Etuhu comes forward, he slides it through but too long for Dempsey who stretches for it, Howard can't hold on to the ball and Dempsey again but blocked for a corner!
    • 90' Another half chance for Everton but Schwarzer gets on to it.
    • 88' Everton come forward, played into Osman on the edge of the box who switches on to his left and sends a wonderful curling shot past the dive of Schwarzer into the left-hand side of the goal! Superb strike, brilliant from Osman, who looks every inch an England player at times like this.
    • 86' EVERTON SUB: Pienaar off for Vaughan.
    • 85' High ball frees Zamora on the left, he cuts inside and can score but drills it low and too close to Howard who blocks with his feet! If Zamora could match the rest of his play with any kind of shooting ability he'd be the best striker in England.
    • 84' Chance for Everton with Gosling putting it in the box, Osman misses it and Cahill can shoot but he stumbles and Fulham clear. Cahill thinks he was fouled, but he wasn't.
    • 83' Through ball to Baines on the left, he's in and can set up Cahill but just too close to Schwarzer, who gets a long arm on to it.
    • 82' Low drive from Cahill but straight at Schwarzer,
    • 80' EVERTON SUB: Castillo on for Saha, who has done well again today.
    • 79' Zamora gets in space on the right but a shocking cross flies out for a goal kick.
    • 78' FULHAM SUB: Aaron Hughes is on for Smalling as the Dacourt sub makes more sense now. Fulham to go three at the back.
    • 77' Pienaar with a low drive from the left but straight at Schwarzer.
    • 76' EVERTON SUB: Gosling on for Neville.
    • 75' The free-kick is into the wall, Konchesky gets it on the left though and swings over a cross for ZAMORA but he gets under it and heads over!
    • 74' Hibbert gives away a free-kick on the edge of the D, well, five yards to the left... Konchesky and Murphy over it...
    • 73' FULHAM SUB: Dacourt on for Gera. That's an odd one.
    • 72' Dempsey comes forward and tries a shot but is met with the typical Toffees bank of four, blocked for a throw.
    • 71' Yobo heads Gera's cross up in the air and Howard comes to claim but Yobo gets in his way, Howard eventually gets it though.
    • 70' FULHAM SUB: Zamora is on for Nevland and immediately wins a high ball with a good chest down.
    • 69' Excellent break from Fulham, one-touch passing as Murphy spreads it wide right to Etuhu who smashes in a low shot that flies across Howard but just wide!!
    • 68' Bit of a scare for Fulham as Schwarzer flaps at a cross, but they survive that one.
    • 66' Etuhu rather harshly penalised for handball when it bounced up awkwardly and on to his arm.
    • 65' Everton have a rare spell of pressure in this second half as Saha does well down the left only to be let down by a poor touch from Baines.
    • 63' Lescott almost gets in trouble but Kamara can't exploit his miscontrol.
    • 62' Great low save by Schwarzer from Cahill but he was offside on Saha's flick-on.
    • 61' The free-kick is drilled low into the box where Gera tries a shot but it's scooped up in the air and over.
    • 60' Good pressure from Fulham in this second half, Pantsil's cross is handled by Baines so a free kick...
    • 58' Pantsil on the right with a good ball that goes far post and Howard chases it but Gera gets there first, sliding to poke it wide left so Howard races out and slides in with Dempsey, who puts it out for a throw.
    • 57' A long ball finds Saha racing towards goal and he aims a downward header to the bottom left but Schwarzer tips it behind for a corner!
    • 56' A high ball in for Kamara, who controls in the box and goes down but nothing given! Looked like a push to me, but Mike Riley was right there and felt contact was minimal.
    • 55' The corner is sent near post where Gera flies in with a header but well over.
    • 54' Gera crosses from the right with Nevland rising but Yobo heads behind for a corner.
    • 53' Dempsey with a great turn on the edge of the box and surely he was brought down by Yobo but nothing given!
    • 52' Phil 'Pele' Neville backheels the ball out of trouble as Everton pass it clear. They really are quite good these days.
    • 51' Pienaar on the left tries to find Baines on the overlap but Panstil is typically annoying in forcing Baines out for a throw.
    • 50' Good defending by Konchesky to sweep up behind Hangeland and clear for Fulham.
    • 48' Gera on the ball, he turns into space, good play but Everton are back in numbers and there's no space to shoot, he feeds Dempsey, it's very congested in there but he wriggles clear but again can't shoot and eventually it's a goal kick.
    • 46' Second half underway at the Cottage!
    • - Everton deserve to be in front on the basis of the stats: 10 shots to Fulham's six and 54% of the possession.
    • - If things stay as they currently stand Fulham would still qualify for the Europa league as Tottenham are losing 1-0 to Liverpool.
    • 45+1 Half-time, that late goal from Leon Osman has given Everton the lead!
    • 45' Fulham made a pig's ear of what should have been a straightforward clearance and they have paid the price! Shocking defending from the hosts actually, but the play from the moment Everton got the ball back was excellent.
    • 44' A long one aimed in the general direction of Cahill should be cleared but isn't and Cahill chases it down, back with Pienaar and a through ball releases Osman who made a quite brilliant diagonal run across the backline and he rounds Schwarzer to tuck it home from a tight angle! 1-0 Everton!
    • 42' Hibbert on the right, good cross and Cahill with the header under pressure but easy for Schwarzer.
    • 41' Baines with a good run down the left but the low cross is hacked away by Etuhu.
    • 39' Gera on the right drills a cross-shot on goal, Yobo with a wild swing misses the ball and Kamara is free on the left and he hits it first time but wide! He had time to take a touch and shoot or play it back to Gera again, rash decision.
    • 37' Pienaar on the ball, inside to Saha who has a crack but a great flying save to tip it round the post! Superb stop from Schwarzer.
    • 35' A great through ball by Murphy releases Nevland but the flag is up for offside. Marginal.
    • 33' Saha holds the ball up but Fulham are back in numbers and force Everton into defence.
    • 31' Pienaar on the left, he cuts inside past Gera and drills a low shot on goal that Schwarzer gathers at the second attempt.
    • 30' Schwarzer has the ball for Fulham, rolling it out so they can build another patient attack but Dempsey commits a foul.
    • 27' Kamara almost gets in but he's challenged by Lescott and chases the loose ball back, Neville tries to shoulder barge him but goes down and oddly Riley thinks Kamara made the foul.
    • 26' Dempsey comes forward, he slips away from Yobo and tries a shot from the right but he gets under it and scoops the ball well over.
    • 24' Pantsil into the back of Pienaar again but no card. He needs to be careful.
    • 22' Schwarzer is tested by a low Baines cross that becomes more of a shot.
    • 21' Gera gets the ball on the edge of the D and he tries a vicious rising drive that Howard flies across to tip one-handed.
    • 20' Fulham get the ball back though and start to get their short, neat passing underway.
    • 19' Bit scrappy in the middle of the park as neither side get their usual passing games in order.
    • 17' Pantsil with a great slide tackle on Rodwell.
    • 16' Konchesky launches a cross from the left and Gera rises to meet it with a header but good positioning by Howard, getting down low to his left to save and hold on.
    • 14' Pantsil late on Pienaar but he avoids a booking.
    • 12' Free-kick to Everton around 40 yards out, taken short and a high one is swung in by Baines but too high even for the prodigous leap of Cahill.
    • 10' Gera on the left plays it in to Nevland who drills a low cross-shot across the face of goal but just beyond Kamara and wide of the far post!!
    • 7' Rodwell gets the ball on the edge of the box and he shoots but easy for Schwarzer.
    • 6' Schwarzer comes to the edge of the six-yard box to claim a high ball.
    • 4' Saha with a header that rattled the bar of his former club but the whistle went for a high foot in the build up.
    • 2' Early chance for Fulham as Nevland slides in at the far post but his touch takes it wide of the goal.
    • 1' Match underway!!

  1. GO THE COTTAGERS!!!!!!!!!! 7th in the league, that is amazing. After them just surviving relagation last season Roy Hogdson has done a fantastic job for them to secure their place in the new Europa League next season.
This will boost the clubs finances and allow them to buy more players.
I think they need to bring in some young talent and get rid of some old players.
This has proved Fifa 09 wrong in every single way. Fulham are well under-rated on the game and it is time they got some respect Roy is a GREAT manager and i hope he stays at fulham for many years to come GREAT WORK ROY!!!!!!!
Also GREAT work and respect to David Moyes who has had an AUSOME 2nd half of the season with Everton ( it is good to see a scot beside Alex Ferguson do welll once in a while!) and I praise him a lot! GO FULHAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. As an Everton fan i think David Moyes should get manager of the season with getting 5th with thw players he has got ie limited players, lack of funds, and doing so well in the Fa cup also, which was a hard run of teams to beat.
But gotta give credit to Roy at Fulham for getting 7th, well played
