  • Live Commentary

    Time:90'
    • Manchester City
    • Bolton Wanderers
    • 90+4 That's it, full time! City take the 3 points here.
    • 90+1' Riga attempts an overhead kick. Not a bad effort.
    • 90' Four minutes of added time.
    • 86' Both teams are strolling around like this game finished 10 minutes ago.
    • 84' Glauber Bert replaces Wayne Bridge.
    • 81' Bolton: Riga comes on for Elmander and O'Brien comes on for Shittu. Man City: Zabaleta replaces Kompany
    • 84' Robinho unleashes a lovely drive from 25 yards which Jaaskelainen leaps to his right to tip over the bar. That was brilliant from both players there. Top class save.
    • 80' The Bolton players are already planning their holidays. They've not threatened to do anything in this half.
    • 78' Wright-Phillips has a go from outside the area and a deflection nearly wrong foots Jaaskelainen, but he manages to tip the ball over for a corner.
    • 74' Bolton appear to have switched off now. Caicedo shoots, again from range, but it's not on target.
    • 71' Robinho had just nipped in and looked odds on to score then, but the referee stops play for a throw in. He then decides to get the skills out for a bit of entertainment. The crowd love it, but Bolton don't. Chris Basham clatters into him.
    • 71' Stephen Ireland, who has had an excellent season but a quiet game, is replaced by Vladimir Weiss.
    • 66' It's Cahill who is down injured now.
    • 65' Wright-Phillips has a go from distance after a poor clearance from Samuel. His shot is certainly powerful, but it just brushes against the side netting. City aren't afraid to ahve a go here.
    • 63' With Matty Taylor off, it's down to Mark Davies to take the corners now. He whips one in and Kevin Davies heads over under pressure from Richards.
    • 61' Robinho shows off a step over, and then has another go from range. Again, it's not troubling Jaaskelainen.
    • 60' Onuoha, who is absolutely rapid, runs the length of the pitch only to be rewarded by a poor return pass from Caicedo.
    • 63' Robinho has another effort from distance. Again, it's not that dangerous and Jaaskelainen deals with it comfortably.
    • 59' That's the first substitution of the day: Chris Basham comes on for Matt Taylor.
    • 58' Another City break, this time it's Robinho who supplies Wright-Phillips for the shot, but it's dragged wide across the face of the goal.
    • 57' Caicedo battles well for the ball in the left hand corner, finds Robinho who drifts inside and lashes well wide.
    • 52' Bolton have started well, but City again show that they're always dangerous on the break. The ball breaks to Caicedo and his left foot shot goes narrowly wide.
    • 50' Davies crosses for Elmander who flicks on. Given sort of half comes for the ball and in the end it's Ireland who clears for a corner.
    • 47' Caicedo is up, but he doesn't look too steady on his feet at the minute.
    • 46' Caicedo receives treatment and looks decidedly groggy after being flattened by a Bolton defender.
    • 45 And we're back. Bolton kick off.
    • 45' And that's half time. Bolton have started to get back into this after going behind early, but it's City who have had the better chances. Micah Richards' assist for Caicedo's goal looks better and better the more I see it.
    • 42' Bolton are just giving the ball away. Gary Megson is not happy.
    • 40' City look to have taken the upper hand now, and their defence appears a bit less shakey. Wright-Phillips cuts inside his man and tries again from range, but Jaaskelainen has it covered all the way.
    • 37' Robinho receives the ball on the left, plays a one-two with Caicedo and shoots, straight at Jaaskelainen
    • 33' Bolton send their big men forward as Taylor delivers another free kick. The ball is cleared, but only to the edge of the area and it's Elmander who strikes it. The shot beats Given, but Dunne clears off the line!
    • 31' Absolutely brilliant flick from Robinho. He bypasses the whole defence with one flick of his boot and finds Micah Richards whose shot on the turn is narrowly wide.
    • 29' Bolton try to engineer a crossing opportunity from a short corner, but it's poorly worked and City intercep and break again. Robinho crosses but Wright-Phillips contrives to allow the ball to run under his foot. Another good opportunity.
    • 28' Man City have hardly been in the game here, but they've just had two great chances to go 2-0 up. Wright-Phillips plays a long ball for Robinho to run onto. Shittu falls over and Robinho is in, but an extra touch allows Samuel to get back and make a good saving tackle.
    • 26' Dangerous break from Man City! Caicedo picks up the ball on the halfway line and carries the ball all the way into the Bolton penalty area. He rolls the ball across the area, but there's no one there! Ireland manages to get hold of the ball and lays it back to Robinho who hits the post. Goal kick.
    • 25' Well, I say that they've just given the ball away again, and Bolton attack down the right through Steinsson. This time Taylor has a go from 30 yards but his shot comes off Richards for another corner.
    • 24' Gavin McCann hits a volley from range, but it never ever looked like it was going in. City are starting to look a little bit more composed at the back now.
    • 18' Whilst Ireland is off the pitch receiving treatment Onuoha clear the ball from under his own bar after Taylor takes a corner from the right. Steinsson sends the ball back in but Kevin Davies lashes wildly over.
    • 17' There's a lull in the game as Ireland receives a bit of treatment here after landing awkardly whilst challenging for the ball.
    • 15' This time it's Steinsson who breaks down the Bolton right and crosses a ball which is just inches away from Kevin Davies' head. Bolton are getting back into it here.
    • 15' Micah Richards bursts down the right and wins a corner. Ireland and Wright Phillips waste the opportunity to cross by playing it short.
    • 13' Kevin Davies' header goes over from the resulting corner. That hand ball would have been harsh if given.
    • 12' Bolton win a free kick which Matty Taylor whips in. Given comes to collect but misses and the ball bounces around the area before going behind for a corner. There's a big shout from the Bolton fans behind the goal for a penalty for a hand ball from Robinho.
    • 9' City are starting to take control early on here. They clear a Bolton set piece and break down the other end. Wright Phillips has a shot from distance and Jaaskelainen tips over.
    • 8' Steinsson brings down Robinho, who takes the free kick quickly, rolls it to Ireland who plays a lovely chipped ball into the penalty area which Richards flicks across the goal and Caicedo is there to finish. Lovely goal.
    • 5' Robinho bundles his way between two Bolton players, and pokes a shot from the centre of the area straight into Jaaskelainen's arms. Either side of the keeper there, and he'd have been stretched, as it was it was a woeful effort.
    • 4' A scrappy start from both times here.
    • 1' Early corner for Manchester City. Shittu clears the first delivery for another corner, and then Jaaskelainen collects the second.
    • 1' And we're off!
    • - Stephen Ireland is picking up an award for player of the season. It looks like a bit like the World Cup.
    • - The teams have finished warming up and it's a warm and sunny day here at Eastlands. Surely perfect conditions for Robinho to put in a wonder performance?
    • - Bolton: Jaaskelainen, K. Davies, Cahill, Elmander, Steinsson, Samuel, McCann, Muamba, M. Davies, Taylor, Shittu. Subs: Al Habsi, Puygrenier, Basham, Choen, Hunt, Riga, O'Brien
    • - bs: Hary, Zabaleta, Bojinov, Petrov, Benjani, Berti, Weiss
