- 86' Tevez again loses the ball on the edge of the box after good work by Fletcher and Villa break, Carew winning a throw on the right.
- 85' United are playing with more confidence now as Fletcher is getting forward but Tevez - who has been poor to be honest - gives it away and Villa break. United survive and come forward again but it's given away and Young breaks but loses out to Neville and Van der Sar gathers.
- 83' Ronaldo is frustrated after losing the ball on the right, he wins a throw though which Neville takes long. Good play United as Ronaldo plays a one-two with Flecther who rams a superb shot on goal that Friedel tips over!!

- 80' United are playing pressure football now, they are forward in numbers as short passing sees it come to Ronaldo on the edge of the box, he drags a low shot on goal and it sneaks past Friedel to nestle in the bottom right! 1-1!! Ronaldo has been fairly anonymous in this match but he's scored twice!
78' Young booked for dissent.- 76' Corner put in by Giggs, Ronaldi flicks it on, up in the air by Petrov and Friedel flies out but Tevez fouls him.

- 75' The free-kick comes in and Van der Sar misses the punch but no-one else makes contact either. United can break, Tevez on the edge of the box and his shot is deflected wide for a corner.
- 74' United counter, Tevez has it on the edge of the area but Barry challenges and comes away with the ball... long into the left and O'Shea fouls Agbonlahor and a free-kick near the corner flag to Villa.
- 73' Tevez works hard to help win the ball back on the left, now with Evra who puts it low into the box but that was poor, straight at the Villa defenders. Agbonlahor comes down the left, back to Young, now Petrov but Evans slides in to clear. Still with Villa though, on the left now...
- 72' Giggs now has the ball, inside to Tevez but he can't get a shot away and Villa clear.
- 71' Tevez on the counter, he plays it wide left to Macheda who shows a good turn of pace to get on to it and he clips a great hanging cross into the box that beats Friedel but no-one is there to connect!
- 69' Corner to United which Giggs will swing over from the left... good delivery to the edge of the six-yard box AND EVANS WITH THE HEADER BUT JUST OVER! Friedel had it covered but a good chance nonetheless.
- 67' There's a bit of afters with Barry accusing Macheda of diving but the ref breaks it up easily enough.
- 66' Macheda goes down in the Villa box after a Neville cross, Davies was all over him, but no penalty.
- 64' Barry is in trouble after a late tackle from Tevez I think, who caught him on the foot... he limps off for some more treatment but I think he'll run it off.
- 61' MAN UNITED SUB: Macheda is on for Nani. That is vague desperation, he's a youth team player but United are ravaged by suspensions.

That was down to sloppy play from Ronaldo. The title race wide open it is.
- 57' Milner with some wing trickery on the right but Evra wins the battle and hacks it clear. Villa have a throw, which is worked into Agbonlahor who is on the right and manages to cross but Carew's nowhere near it and it drifts wide left.
- 56' Evra on the left cuts inside but plays it too short for Tevez on the edge of the box and Villa clear. Evans heads out for a throw.
55' The linesman again gets it wrong as Agbonlahor goes through, he was level or behind Evans but the flag went up.- 54' Tevez chases a hopeful ball, sliding in to challenge Davies but he only puts it back to Friedel. Young on the shoulder of Neville and he races on to the ball and the flag is up. That looked level to me.
- 53' Young almost creates a chance but Van der Sar comes out to claim the cross.
- 52' A throw from the right causes some problems for Villa as Giggs knocks it back to Fletcher on the edge of the box but he falls as he meets the ball and sends it well over.
- 50' A bit of a lull in this match with both sides jostling for territory and, if we're being honest, neither looking particularly confident.
- 48' Tevez chases a high one down the middle but Cuellar nods it back to Friedel.

- 40' Young gets it in the middle around 40 yards out, he closes down on the box and tries a shot but blocked. Wide right with Milner now, he centres but headed away from Carew by Evans. United bring it forward...
- 39' Milner fouls Evra and comes off worse but he gingerly gets up to jog back in position.
- 38' Giggs flies in to get on the end of a high ball but Tevez is stranded behind him, having not read the play.
- 37' A promising spell of United pressure ends when Carrick misjudges a crossfield pass to Neville overlapping wide right. The veteran right-back has to scurry back into position having wasted that energy.
- 35' Young on the left, he weaves in and out of O'Shea and he has a crack but straight at Van der Sar. Probably should have crossed.

- 10' Agbonlahor is called up for dragging the ball slightly out of play when he got past Neville again. Using his pace against the ageing full-back could give the Villains a lot of joy.

- 6' Barry robs a careless Nani and looks wide right to Petrov. He slows it down as Villa try to play some keep ball, which Milner gets involved with before over-running it for a goal kick.

The Scot was the man on the post and he did really well to clear as it hit him on the hand and spun up, almost striking his hand but he avoided contact and poked it away!

everyone seems to forget that man utd. are the best team in england and the rest just aren't good enough over the year. liverpool loose two players and they fall apart, man utd can loose 7/8 and still regain top spot.
the premier league is by now for united.well done keep its up.united.
Great goal by the united forward to win the game, but some shocking decision making by the linesman in the 2nd half (not good enough to be called referees assistant!). My main concern as a Villa fan is not going forward but the £30million O'Neill has spent on a defence that looks great on paper but struggle to defend as a unit. It is the poor defending that could ultimately cost us a champions league spot. Curtis Davies has potential but without Laursen, his weak positional play and clearances are proving costly for what was a £10mil player.
Foul on young before the goal how petty are you the amount of things riley didnt give united foul on macheda we should have had a penalty, scouse freaks.
