    • 90+1' The Chelsea are giving it their best shot at bagging a consolation, but the Mancunian crowd in full voice tells you all you need to know.
    • 87' GOAL!! Ronaldo fires the free-kick low towards the near post and it's guided into the net by the boot of Berbatov! This victory just went from comprehensive to emphatic!
    • 86' Belletti is left for dead by Ronaldo and the Brazilian trips him up in desperation, and gets the booking. The free-kick will be curled in by ronaldo...
    • 85' Joe Cole will be replaced by Franco di Santo for the final five minutes.
    • 84' Carvalho loses the ball and Ronaldo pounces and STRIKES... The shot from outside the box swings JUST wide of the post!
    • 83' Berbatov slips a ball through for Ronaldo and he's clena through... The flag is up for offside, but replays show he was level when the pass was made.

    • 76' Park dispossesses Drogba on the edge of the area and can break forward. He finds Rooney, who holds the ball up as more red shirts flood forward. In the end the move fizzles out, but that's a perfect illustration of how United are planning to see out the rest of this match.
    • 73' Lampard's delivery is flicked on to DROGBA AT THE FAR POST... A swing and a miss! The Old Trafford crowd enjoyed that!
    • 72' Chelsea are seeing more of the ball now, but are struggling to find any space in the final third. United seem content to sit back and hit them on the break. Ronaldo gives away a free-kick though, after fouling Lampard.
    • 67' Alex Ferguson makes his own full-back change now, bringing on O'Shea for Evra.
    • 66' Rooney trips Carvalho and recieves a yellow card. His performance today has deserved both a goal and a booking, and now he has both.

    • 63' GOAL!! Ronaldo backheels to Evra and the Frenchman swings in a great cross that is over Berbatov but Rooney knocks in to double United's lead!!

    • 60' Carlos Tevez tries to encourage the fans in the Stretford End as he warms up on the touchline, and receives a warm reception in return. They want him on the pitch, and they may get their wish soon enough. United have a free-kick on the left wing. It's blocked and they have a throw but Chelsea clear from it.
    • 59' Ironic cheers and wolf whistles from the away fans - and some of the home ones - as Ronaldo miscontrols and concedes a throw-in from Van der Sar's long throw.
    • 58' Ballack wins a corner of Neville. Fletcher heads it away, virtually unchallenged, and Mikel's ball back in goes out for a goal kick.
    • 56' Lampard holds the ball up well inside the United box and lays it back to DROGBA... Blazed over the bar by the Ivorian striker.

    • 45' United take the corner quick and short and Giggs crosses in and RONALDO GLANCED A HEADER IN AT THE NEAR POST!! but wait, it's not going to count... The referee hadn't blown his whistle! United will have to take it again...
    • 45' Mikel gifts the ball to Park on the edge of the box and the Korean pases to RONALDO... The scuffed shot hits Rooney on the back of the head but FLETCHER FOLLOWS UP... Deflected wide for a corner!
    • 44' Park gets into the box with a one-two with Ronaldo and will SHOOT... Great block by John Terry! The Chelsea captain dived in to stop the shot and concede the corner.
    • 41' Joe Cole finds Ballack on the left of the area and the German dinks a great ball across goal but there is no one at the far post to capitalise.
    • 39' Bosingwa whips in an inviting cross but Neville steals in front of Ballack to head clear. The scrappiness of the last 10 minutes or so seems to have passed for now.
    • 36' Ronaldo has come out on to the left wing to receive the ball, but he is well marshalled by Ballack and Joe Cole and the eventual cross goes straight to Cech.
    • 34' United have a free-kick out on the left wing. Vidic is up there for it. Giggs delivers towards the Serbian but Chelsea hack the ball clear.
    • 32' Michael Ballack goes sprawling on to the turf after the slightest of touches from Vidic, but the referee is not being conned and waves play on.
    • 31' Park squares a ball to Rooney on the edge of the box and he flicks it through for BERBATOV... The Bulgarian had a sight of goal but was put off his strike by Terry and there was no power on the final effort.
    • 28' Park sends the ball in and Ronaldo and Carvalho get tangled up! Ronaldo hits the deck but the referee blows for a United foul. Compatriots Carvalho and Ronaldo have a bit of handbags, and both earn bookings for their histrionics.
    • 27' United break and Ronaldo feeds Rooney out wide with a crafty backheel. Bosingwa lunges in on Rooney and is justifiably booked.
    • 26' Chelsea can't make the most of their set pieces either, and the ball ends up in the arms of Van der Sar.
    • 24' Ronaldo BLASTS IT... The strike deflects off Drogba and out for a corner. The set piece is cleared and Chelsea break, but Rooney does brilliantly to track back and challenge Bosingwa. Referee Howard Webb calls a foul though, and give Rooney a talking-to. Lampard will swing in the free-kick and Rooney heads behind for a corner.
    • 23' Cech beats away the delivery but Rooney has the ball and is brought down by Joe Cole! This is Ronaldo territory. He may not have scored one of his thunderbolts for a while, but he came mighty close against Derby in midweek...
    • 22' Rooney finds Ronaldo on the wing and his cross hits Ashley Cole's hand right on the edge of the area! Giggs will take the free-kick, with plenty of red shirts in there...
    • 19' Jose Bosingwa powers down the right wing but Ryan Giggs is with him every step of the way and does well the shield the ball out for a goal kick.
    • 17' Jonny Evans fouls again in midfield. It's about 40 yards from goal but Lampard will blast it into the area... Evra dives low to head it clear and the Chelsea players are screaming handball - No chance!! The referee ignores their pleas.
    • 16' Chelsea beginning to wake up now. Deco flicks an outrageous ball with the outside of his boot into the path of Ashley Cole in the box... Neville uses all his experience to get between Cole and the ball in a legal manner.
    • 14' It will be BALLACK TO STRIKE... It's hit low and under the wall but the ball cannons off a Chelsea player's boot and away to safety. Expect Lampard to take the next one.
    • 13' Nice link-up play finds Deco via Joe Cole and Ballack and Fletcher fouls the Portuguese playmaker in a cnetral position. Lampard and Ballack will fancy a strike from here...
    • 12' Evans brings the ball forward and tries a diagonal ball up to Bebratov, but it's intercepted by Carvalho. Chelsea win a free-kick in the centre circle but are forced back.
    • 9' Chelsea have been chasing for much of the opening period, but we're yet to have any chances for either side.
    • 7' Ronaldo digs out a cross that Cech comes out to claim and drops! Luckily for him nobody in a red shirt is close enough to capitalise. A shaky start from the usually rock-solid Czech keeper.
    • 5' Bosingwa blocks a cross from Park and United have the game's first corner. Chelsea clear but United retain the ball, though they are forced back into midfield.
    • 3' Frank Lampard sees the ball knocked past him by ronaldo, but trips the Portuguese to sent him crashing to the ground. The foul was right in front of referee Howard Webb, and he gives out the matches first yellow card.
    • 3' Rooney tries to relase Berbatov with a little touch but it's just too short for the Bulgarian.
    • 1' Right away Chelsea keeper Petr Cech shanks a nervy clearance out for a throw-in, to the delight of the home support!
    • 1' Chelsea kick-off and this one is underway!
    • 15:57 So, there may be no repeat of the penalty drama of Moscow or the jubilation and tears that followed, but this match will go a huge way to deciding who will capture to Premier League crown this season. The players are walking out to a rousing fanfare as we speak, so don't go anywhere!
