    • - Thanks for joining us... don't go anywhere, Arsenal v Chelsea is coming right up!
    • 90'+3 There goes the final whistle! And United take another step towards the title!
    • 90' TEVEZ! Oooh! So close to a second! Fletcher flicks on from the corner, but Tevez can only head against the post from close range! In fairness to him, he's too close to the post to be able to get the ball around it!
    • 89' Robinho makes way for Ched Evans... much to delight of the home crowd...
    • 88' Rooney plays the ball for Scholes to run on to... but the midfielder's not as quick as he once was, and Dunne gets back to make a challenge!
    • 86' Oooh! Petrov! What an effort! The substitute fires goalwards and is only denied by a brilliant diving save by Van der Sar!
    • 84' Super ball in from Giggs... Given is forced to paw it away to safety! But only as far as Rafael, who lets fly! Given again called into action!
    • 81' Giggs controls on his chest and plays in Tevez... he plays in for Rooney, but Ireland gets the better of him this time...
    • 79' Berbatov gets the better of Dunne for a moment... but the City captain recovers to put behind for a corner!
    • 75' Tevez, Fletcher and Rooney combine to win a corner off Ireland... a third goal would kill this game off now... but nothing comes of it this time...
    • 74' Tevez gets past Dunne and then Onuoha! But his shot can't match his approach play and the ball flies harmlessly into the Stretford End!
    • 73' Mark Hughes makes another change... on comes Martin Petrov to replace Nigel De Jong...
    • 72' Ronaldo's still stewing on the bench! He's really not happy at having been substituted... he's just sat there, shaking his head and looking like a moody teenager!
    • 71' Richards leaps to meet the corner! But his effort goes wide of the mark and still City have yet to really trouble Van der Sar....
    • 70' O'Shea comes on for Evans before the corner is taken...
    • 69' Oooh! Bojinov nearly makes an immediate impact! The Bulgarian sees his shot from the edge of the area deflected behind for a City corner!
    • 69' Giggs takes it himself... but Ireland is there to head clear for City...
    • 68' Scholes sprays the ball wide for his old pal Giggs... and the United skipper wins a corner off Richards!
    • 65' But United look so solid at the back today, you really can't see where City are going to get a goal from....
    • 64' Bojinov's been so unlucky with injuries since arriving at City... which is a shame because as any who saw him at Lecce or Fiorentina - not so much Juventus - will tell you, he's a class act.
    • 63' Caicedo departs for City... Valeri Bojinov comes on to replace him.
    • 62' City are enjoying a decent spell of possession here... but much like the first half, they can't get past the final line...
    • 61' Ronaldo really stormed to the bench then! The boy just wants to play!
    • 60' Wayne Rooney is going to come on... and it's Ronaldo who comes off. He's not happy about it! Scholes also comes on for Park...
    • 58' Joorabchian is spotted in the crowd, on the phone to someone... a potential buyer perhaps?
    • 57' This is a good little move from City though... but Richards's final pass in dealt with by Van der Sar, who falls on the ball!
    • 56' United are well on top now as Giggs goes over to take it... nothing comes of it this time though.
    • 55' Rafael now marauds forward... Robinho misses a challenge... he cuts inside to Park, who wins a corner!
    • 53' Tevez again does well out on the United right... he takes on Bridge and gets to the by-line... but his low cross is cleared by Dunne!
    • 51' Oooh! What a chance for City! Elano finds Robinho with a great pass forward... the Brazilian gets the better of his compatriot Rafael, but he slices his shot wide of the mark!
    • 50' Tevez does really well to win the ball off Bridge... he keeps the ball in and plays it back to Rafael, who centres... it's slightly mishit, but Given is forced to watch it carefully as it lands on top of the net!
    • 49' Fletcher goes into the book for tripping Ireland as the City man bursts forward! He might not have deserved his card in midweek, but he definitely deserves that one!
    • 48' Elano takes it... but it's easy for Evra to clear at the near post!
    • 47' Rafael is forced to head behind for a City corner after a long, rangy cross-field pass by Ireland.
    • 46' No changes to tell you about at the break... it's as you were!
    • 46' Back underway at Old Trafford!
    • 45'+2 There goes the half-time whistle! And United take a two-goal lead in with them at the break!
    • 45'+1 It's all about Tevez today! And again the crowd urge Ferguson to sign the Argentinian!
    • 45' GOAL! TEVEZ FIRES UNITED INTO A TWO-GOAL LEAD! It's a very similar effort to his earlier one that hit the post... it strikes the upright again, but this time, the ball lands in the back of the net! Two-nil United! And Tevez cups his ears to the crowd!
    • 42' Evra marauds forward down the United left... he over-runs it slightly and Dunne is able to blast clear... only it hits the full-back! Given is alert enough to race out and claim the ball though!
    • 40' Replays show Berbatov to have had a little kick out as the players came together in the middle, but Kompany's reaction was slightly over the top...
    • 39' United are on the attack but Kompany drops to the floor in the penalty area clutching his balls! The ref pulls up play and Kompany storms over to the Bulgarian, accusing him of an off-the-ball incident! The official opts to give both players a talking to...
    • 38' De Jong lets fly from distance! But it's straight at Van der Sar, who easily holds the effort...
    • 36' City are playing the ball around well, but they're lacking a bit of penetration up front...
    • 35' Evans! Ooh! He gets his head to the corner, but it bounces wide!
    • 34' United win another corner, this time after good work by Park...
    • 33' Ireland becomes the first player to go into the book, for a wild sliding tackle that catches Evra!
    • 33' Giggs goes over to take a United corner now... and there's a mild smattering of abuse from the City fans, still bitter he didn't stay with them as a schoolboy...
    • 32' "Fergie, sign him up" is the chant from the home crowd! But Ferguson doesn't seem to want to...
    • 31' Oooh! Brilliant from Tevez! He cuts inside and unleashes a superb curling shot from the corner of the box! It cannons back off the upright with Given well-beaten!
    • 30' Here's a rare sight! Robinho tracks back! But he puts in a striker's challenge on Park and concedes a free-kick...
    • 29' Robinho rides his luck as he gets a break off Rafael... it opens up in front of him! He shoots! But it's wide of the mark! That wasn't a bad chance for the visitors...
    • 28' Bridge centres now... and again Vidic again heads away...
    • 27' This is good from City... Robinho gives it to Ireland on the right... but his cross is headed clear by Vidic... City are playing some neat football nevertheless!
    • 25' Elano appears to go into the back of Rafael... no foul says the ref!
    • 23' Kompany feeds Caicedo... but Rafael puts in a strong challenge to end City's move forward...
    • 21' Fletcher lets fly now! Again it drags wide, but United are beginning to find their stride!
    • 20' United break with Ronaldo... he sprints down the left wing... he needs support in the middle but Berbatov doesn't seem too bothered about getting there as he ambles forward... the move breaks down soon enough.
    • 19' That's Ronaldo's 18th of the season... and some say he hasn't even played that well! Some return, considering...
    • 18' GOAL! RONALDO FINDS THE BACK OF THE NET FROM THE FREE-KICK! His effort takes a slight deflection off De Jong in the wall, wrong-footing Given in goal! The keeper can't recover and the ball goes in! 1-0!
    • 17' United break now with Berbatov... the Bulgarian looks like he's about to shoot, so Irelan brings him down! Another free-kick, 30 yards out this time, and again in Ronaldo territory!
    • 15' Into the wall... not too many surprises there, then.
    • 14' And now Dunne goes in hard on Berbatov and United do win a free-kick... 40 yards out, but Ronaldo will still have a pop.
    • 13' Ronaldo wants a free-kick as Richards piles into him... and he may have a point - Richards appeared to get the man before he took the ball...
    • 12' Giggs takes it... it's cleared by City but Rafael soon pumps another cross back towards the far post, where three United players are waiting! Given rises to claim though!
    • 11' Park can break now... well at least until Kompany comes across and fouls him... free-kick to United, near the dugouts...
    • 10' City play it short to Elano... but his cross hits the back of Giggs's arm - no penalty - and United can clear!
    • 9' Strong play from Onuoha, who muscles his way forward! And the centre-back wins a corner off Vidic!
    • 8' Giggs and Berbatov link up nicely for United now... silky stuff from the champions!
    • 7' Lovely stuff from Ronaldo! He skins Richards - surprisingly, since the City full-back is usually quick - before cutting inside and firing goalwards! Again, it's on target, and again Given is forced to save!
    • 5' Elano links up well with Ireland... it comes out to Robinho on the City left... he bamboozles Rafael to send Elano through! But the Brazilian's shot is horribly wide and the chance goes begging....
    • 4' TEVEZ! The Argentine lets fly from 30 yards out! It's on target and Given has to get down low to his right to save at the foot of his post!
    • 4' Evans has to be strong against Caicedo... but the United man comes out on top...
    • 3' Oooh! Ronaldo stabs a Rafael cross towards Park, who fires goalwards! But the South Korean drags his shot wide of the mark! First scare for City!
    • 2' Ireland does well in the centre of the park... he looks fired up for today, the Irishman...
    • 2' Robinho on the attack straight away... Evans steps in to bring the Brazilian's run to an end.
    • 1' So, here we go! Underway at Old Trafford!
    • - City name an unchanged side.
    • - Wayne Rooney starts on the bench, while Rio Ferdinand misses out altogether. Jonny Evans starts along with Rafael Da Silva and Dimitar Berbatov.
    • - The big team news is that Carlos Tevez gets the nod to start, despite his admission that he will leave United in the summer.
    • - While United are flying high at home and abroad, City have European ambitions of their own - victory today will see them dislodge Fulham in seventh, while even just a points will send Mark Hughes's side into eighth.
    • - A Wayne Rooney goal settled the first Manchester derby of the season.
    • - Manchester United can reclaim top spot with anything but defeat against local rivals City at Old Trafford.

I am a Liverpool fan and i was obviously hoping for a city win, but it was inevitable manu that were gonna get the 3 points. Time and time again theses sides let you down. The simple fact is that they play the Liverpools, manu's, chelseas and get intimidated and just defend and when they go 1 goal down they have no way back into the game.
