    Time:90'
    • Portsmouth
    • Hull City
    • 90+2 And that's it. 2-2. Adams will not be happy after his side out played Hull all day!!!
    • 90+1' Both sides have thrown caution to the wind and are chasing the winner; unfortunately, with the caution has gone any semblance of decent football as both sides have forsaken passing for long hopeful punts.
    • 89' Portsmouth push for that elusive winner but Hull hold firm and break with Cousin.
    • 87' And Portsmouth haven't learnt their lesson. Windass is claiming it but for my money it looks to be a Pamarot own goal after an almighty scramble. Either way, GOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLL HULL. And from a corner, Adams will not be happy.
    • 83' Two quick fire yellows. First for Diop on Stellios and then Windass on Traore.
    • 81' Geovanni has another effort and makes a far better effort of it, but James is equal to it. Fine save.
    • 78' Hull free-kick. It's about forty yards out and Geovanni fires high and wide, should have crossed that one to be fair.
    • 75' And that's Utaka's last contribution. He's to be replaced by Kanu.
    • 73' Portsmouth waste another chance. Utaka hooking over from no more than six yards out.
    • 69' Dean Windass enters the fray a hat-trick short of 200 goals in British league football !!
    • 67' John Utaka has a great effort palmed away by Myhill!!
    • 63' What a Goaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllll!!!! Glen Johnson, who has been superb throughout, collects the ball 40 yards out on the chest and carries it 5 yards and volleys left footed into the top left hand corner. Great, great goal.
    • 59' Double substitution for Portsmouth. Forgotten man David Nugent comes on for Hughes and Traore for Belhadj.
    • 57' Hull are really pushing for another now. Marney having a great volley wonderfully saved by James.
    • 54' Oh dear! Hull goooooal. After being on top for much of the game Portsmouth find themselves pegged back to a goal a piece. Marney delivers a corner, Zayatte flicks on and Turner evades marker Diop to head home.
    • 53' Richard Hughes puts in a big tackle and manages to injure both Marlon King and Noe Pamarot. An impressive effort.
    • 50' Glen Johnson has been superb again today, causing all kinds of problems for Sam Ricketts. He wins another corner.
    • 48' Portsmouth have started the second half the brighter again
    • 46' We're underway at Fratton Park. Utaka immediately breaks forward but is foiled by a well timed Turner tackle.
    • 45+2' And that's it, half time. Portsmouth should be more than a goal to the good but Hull were looking dangerous as the half closed.
    • 45+1 The spectacular again from the diminutive Brazilian. This time his over head kick drifts harmlessly wide.
    • 44' Geovanni thunders the ball against the cross bar. What an effort, James was absolutely rooted to the spot. Unbelieveable.
    • 42' Marlon King sends a volley wide.
    • 41' Hull have a free-kick. And a set-piece looks their best opportunity of a goal on today's performance. But their delivery from Marney is poor and Portsmouth easily clear.
    • 37' Diop fires another effort goal wards but after hitting the cross-bar early on the Senegalese international's efforts are getting progressively worse.
    • 34' Distin snuffs out Cousin. He has been immense!! And then King, in behind Kaboul, pokes wide.
    • 30' David James almost costs his side their lead. He came and flapped at a Boateng cross leaving Marney to head goal-wards but Disitn was there again to hook away.
    • 26' Utaka has been vastly impressive! And his skill and cross finds Crouch, who unselfishly heads back across goal for Diop to prod hopeless and harmlessly wide. Oh dear.
    • 23' Marlon King with an almost immediate riposte, but Disitn last-line intervention forces the ball out for a corner.
    • 20' Goallllll...Peter Crouch. Utaka won a free-kick down the right, which Belhadj squared to Johnson who has a left-footed effort charged down...the ball breaks to Younes Kaboul on the left and his centre is powered home by Crouch.
    • 19' Peter Crouch drags wide from a good thirty yards out...Hull are beginning to feel their way back into the game, but without really threatening James' goal.
    • 16' Belhadj fires wide.
    • 12' Phi Brown cuts a concerned figure on the touch line - his side are taking a bit of a beating at this stage.
    • 9' James easily claims Geovanni's cross shot. Portsmouth have definitely started the brightest and Utaka crosses for Crouch to head over.
    • 5' Sean Davis lays in Diop and his shot is tipped wide by Myhill, the resulting corner leads to mayhem. Crouch is almost on the end of it but Turner hooks away.
    • 2' This is the first meeting in 17 years and it has started with a bang. Diop thunders a header against the bar and watches as it bounces down on the goal line, Utaka follows up but the chance has gone.
    • 1' Referee Stuart Atwell - that's the phantom goal ref to me and you - gets us underway. An under strength Portsmouth won the toss and opted to take the kick!
    • 15:50 Portsmouth: James, Johnson, Kaboul, Distin, Pamarot, Diop, Davis, Hughes, Belhadj, Crouch, Utaka. Hull: Myhill, McShane, Turner, Zayatte, Ricketts, Marney, Ashbee, Boateng, Geovanni, King, Cousin.
    • 15:50 The teams are in and, as expected, Portsmouth line-up with three of their most influential players absent. Club captain Sol Campbell and midfielders Lassana Diarra and Niko Kranjcar are all out, along with England man Jermain Defoe. While Wigan have a relatively injury free squad to select from, boss Phil Brown starts with Marlon King in attack after the striker scored while away on international duty with Jamaica.
