    • 89' Defoe misses a great chance to wrap up three points and end with a hat-trick. He mis-times his shot after being skillfully set-up by Belhadj.
    • 87' GOAL!!! It's Defoe again. 'Boro fail to deal with a long throw towards Crouch, Johnson plays it in over the top and Defoe shoots first time on the turn to beat Turnbull into the far corner. Great finish and Pompey take a desrved lead, 2-1.
