    Time:90'
    • Portsmouth
    • West Bromwich
    • 90' And that's it. Mike Dean brings the game to an end. A cracking match, but the result doesn't do a lot for either side's survival chances!
    • 90' The ball's floated into the Pompey area - but Peter Crouch is there to get the ball away.
    • 90' Before it can be taken Portsmouth make another change. Pennant comes off. I think that's Gekas who's comes on.
    • 90' Now West Brom have another free-kick deep in the home side's half. It's in the middle of the pitch about 45 yards from David James's goal.
    • 89' Pompey clear.
    • 89' Kaboul commits a foul deep in his own half on the left as West Brom attack. This is a great chance for the visitors to get the ball in the Pompey box. Kaboul is booked.
    • 87' Olsson heads Greening's corner over. Phew...this is tense.
    • 86' Fortune shows great strength to bundle his way into the Pompey six-yard box from wide on the right, and he almost squeezes the ball in past James at the near post, but in the end he has to settle for a corner.
    • 83' Pennant shoots from miles out wide on the right - and his effort sails well over.
    • 80' West Brom make a final change - Mulumbu on for Brunt.
    • 79' Portsmouth lump a ball foward towards Crouch - but the England striker is penalised for pushing.
    • 77' Hoefkens comes on for Zuiverloon in the West Brom backline.
    • 76' Crouch heads a Pennant cross well over. But don't be surprised if that combination makes a telling contribution in the final few minutes.
    • 73' Well Man Utd's 17-year-old striker has just done it again at Sunderland. Can West Brom's own 17-year-old frontman follow suit? Youngster Chris Wood comes on for James Morrison - and Tony Mowbray must hope he does a Macheda.
    • 69' The game's settled down a bit after those manic few minutes. Portsmouth are bossing possession.
    • 67' Just before Kranjcar's brilliant free-kick, Pompey took off Nugent for Belhadj.
    • 66' Crouch knocks a deep cross into the path of Kranjcar inside the box - but this time the Croat fires high and wide. Kranjcar really should have scored there - what a chance to put Pompey ahead again!
    • 65' What a hectic couple of minutes. It's a goal fest at Fratton Park.
    • 63' GOAL!!! Whatever Chris Brunt can do, Niko Kranjcar can do better! The Croat curls a stunning free-kick right-footed into the top left corner of Carson's goal!
    • 62' Portsmouth respond straight away, winning a free-kick of their own on the edge of the West Brom area.
    • 61' GOAL! Chris Brunt curls the ball powerfully into the bottom right corner of James's goal with his left boot! A beauty for the Baggies, and they've turned this match on its head! Replays show that Brunt's blaster might have got a slight deflection - but Tony Mowbray's men won't care.
    • 60' West Brom win a free-kick right on the edge of the Pompey box after a Mullins foul on Greening.
    • 59' Hreidarsson picks up the first booking of the match for a lunge at Zuiverloon.
    • 55' West Brom clear from the corner.
    • 54' Robinson almost scores an own-goal as he intercepts a Pennant flick-on inside his own area, but the West Brom defender's header goes just wide for a corner to the home side.
    • 52' Fortune beats Campbell on the edge of the box on the left and curls a shot towards the left corner of James's goal - buit it goes marginally wide. Decent effort.
    • 50' But West Brom defend it well.
    • 49' Pompey win a free-kick deep inside the West Brom half on the left. A chance to get the ball in the box here.
    • 48' What was James thinking?! He must have thought the initial shot was a backpass, why else would he kick it? Idiotic keeping from England's ancient number one!
    • 47' GOAL! West Brom level! Jonathan Greening makes the most of a complete shocker from David James. For some reason the keeper kicked a tame shot straight to James Morrison inside the six-yard box. Morrison shot, James parried but then the ball fell for Greening, who slotted into an unguarded net!
    • 46' And Portsmouth kick-off to get us going again. West Brom simply have to turn this around in the next 45 minutes to stand any chance of staying up.
    • - The teams are out for the second half.
    • 45' And that's the last significant action of the half - Mike Dean blows for half-time, and Pompey will be well pleased with the way things have gone so far. They lead 1-0 at the break thanks to a cracker from Kaboul (and it's not too often you'll hear that).
    • 45' Well, perhaps 'hoof' is a bit harsh. Pennant curls a deep cross in - but it misses everyone and goes out for a West Brom goal kick.
    • 44' Portsmouth win a free-kick 15 yards inside the West Brom half on the left. They'll hoof this into the box I imagine.
    • 42' A Pompey cross from the right again causes West Brom problems as Meite air-kicks an attempted clearance - but the hosts fail to capitalise on the mistake.
    • 40' That was like an action replay of Morrison's earlier chance to cross from the right inside the Portsmouth box.
    • 39' Zuiverloon makes a great overlapping run into the Pompey area to latch on to a cute through ball from Fortune. He's got time to pass to a team-mate, but James cuts out his cross.
    • 38' Brunt has a go from way out - and makes a mess of it.
    • 36' James made a great save earlier and has now made a howler with that punch - business as usual for England's number one then.
    • 35' West Brom force a corner on the left. The initial ball is is headed away, but the second ball in is lamely punched to a West Brom shirt by David James, causing a chaos in the Pompey area. Eventually Koren gets a shot on target, but it's straight at James.
    • 34' West Brom look to respond straight away. Brunt receives the ball on the right of the Pompey area, cuts on to his favoured left foot and shoots low. It flies just wide!
    • 32' GOAL! Kaboul scores for Portsmouth! The stand-in right-back forced his way into the area on the right, cut inside a defender on to his left foot then powered a shot into the top right-hand corner of Carson's goal! An absolute corker of a goal!
    • 29' It was Zuiverloon who got that crucial touch - desperate defending etc.
    • 28' Pennant causes further problems down the right. His high ball to the far post seems certain to be headed home by Crouch, but a West Brom player gets a vital touch to divert it out of the striker's way.
    • 27' Pennant picks up the ball on the edge of the West Brom box and curls a shot towards the bottom right corner of the visitors' goal - and it goes so, so close to going in. But as it is it drops just wide.
    • 25' Portsmouth hit the post! They take a clever corner low to Kranjcar on the edge of the box, and he shoots low and true towards the bottom right corner of Carson's goal - but it strikes the upright and comes out again. Unlucky.
    • 24' Portsmouth force a corner on the right.
    • 23' Morrison picks up the ball after an error by Campbell in defence. He's bears in on goal and looks certain to score, but James makes a great save low to his right to keep out Morrison's low shot.
    • 22' Koren bundles his way through the Portsmouth defence and gets a shot away from the edge of the box, but it's a tame effort that James saves easily.
    • 20' The corner picks out Crouch at the far post. He has time to control on the chest, but then he skies a half-volley over the bar and into the crowd. Nice control, shoddy shot from the big man. They'll be no rope celebrations with shooting like that.
    • 19' Portsmouth appeal for a penalty! They reckon a West Brom player handled in defence, but Mike Dean waves away their protests. The hosts have to settle for a corner instead.
    • 17' Brunt whips it in well, but a defender gets to the cross first to clear.
    • 16' West Brom win a free-kick ten yards inside the Portsmouth half on the left. They'll pump this is into the box.
    • 15' Pennant continues to threaten for the home side. Another dangerous cross from deep on the right is headed clear by Meite in the West Brom area.
    • 13' Kranjcar crosses in the end, but he fails to pick out a team-mate. West Brom clear.
    • 12' Meite handles about 35 yards out in the middle of the pitch to give Portsmouth the chance to cross into the box - or Kranjcar could have a shot.
    • 10' Pennant again gets clear on the right. This time he tries to thread a pass to Kranjcar bursting into the box, but it's cut out by a West Brom man.
    • 8' West Brom's James Morrison beats his marker wide on the right. He's got loads of space inside the Pompey box to pick out a team-mate, but his low cross is caught by David James. Good keeping.
    • 6' Close for Pompey! Pennant gets clear down the right flank again, delivers a high cross that is cleared to today's right-back for the home side, Kaboul, who fires a low shot inches wide of Carson's right-hand post from the edge of the box. Good play from Portsmouth.
    • 4' Pennant, in for the suspended Glen Johnson for Portsmouth today, breaks free down the right wing. But his low cross is poor and West Brom clear at the near post.
    • 3' Portsmouth have had the best of a scrappy opening few minutes.
    • 2' Mike Dean is the referee for this bottom-of-the-table clash between Pompey and the Baggies. A win for the hosts will provide a massive step towards safety, while the visitors surely have to get all three points to stand any chance of staying up.
    • 1' West Brom kick off to get the game under way.

Negative tactics and selections are no use at this time of the season.
