    • 88' Credit to Sunderland they continue to push for a consolation but for their endeavour this afternoon they have received scant reward.
    • 85' Cisse, under pressure from Cahill, lashes wide.
    • 82' Bardsley has a shot blocked from long range, for all their effort in this second half the home side have been restricted to efforts from distance.

    • 14' Bolton respond in predictable fashion, launching a free-kick into the Sunderland box. Gordon is out jumped by Davies but Nosworthy hooks safe.
    • 11' Goaaaalllll for Sunderland...and it's Cisse. Richardson and Malbranque combine, the Frenchman feeds - a just onside - Cisse to stroke past Jaaskelainen and in off the post.
